Adb was working fine on my mt65xx previously. however i encounted error installing my nexus 4 adb so i unisntalled all the android drivers. After that, i'm no longer able to install back the drivers for any of my phone i listed above.

I've also tried to force install by clicking "let me pick from a list of device" and i choosed have disk. it did get installed sucesfully however when i run adb devices, it did not show my android device... it is working fine on my another pc though

install your device drivers manually:Device Manager -> yourDevice -> UpdateDriverSoftware -> Browse My Computer ... -> Let Me Pick From a List -> select "show all devices" - > click next -> install from disk -> click browsering -> select your %Android SDK directory%\extras\google\usb_driver\android_winusb.inf

After adding the proper %SingleAdbInterface% and %CompositeAdbInterface% entries to the android_winusb.inf file, I now see "Android ADB Interface" in my Device Manager. However, running adb devices at the command-line does not show the device.

I tried everything on this thread but nothing worked. My problem: my computer was charging the device when I was connecting the cable on, so I assumed the cable was working, but not. After I swap the cable, adb devices worked. The cable was the issue.

So the methods mentioned above didn't work for me. What worked for me was googling Samsung Galaxy Tab USB driver and downloading and running the application that got my device recognized when I did adb devices. Since I was using a Samsung Galaxy, I used this link to download the usb driver from the OFFICIAL Samsung site. You would want to google your own respective android model usb driver

After downloading it, I ran the application to install my usb driver and then did adb devices. Make sure your Google USB driver from the Android SDK is downloaded and that your sdk is up to date as well. Also, make sure that your USB debugging mode is enable by going to Settings -> Developer Options -> then checking USB debugging. After all this, your device in the Device Manager should not have a yellow exclamation point next to it. When you run adb devices your device should show up. Hope this helps people. I literally spent hours trying to figure this out. Hopefully my answer could save you guys the hours I spent googling.

re-connect dongle with phone connected and click on "rescan devices", it will likely already identify the phone but say that it is waiting for user to authorise USB debugging (even if it is supposed to be on already)

For what it's worth, I had problems getting the ADB driver installed from my Windows7 machine. Turned out the Virusscan "access protection" prevented (only some) drivers to be installed properly. Unplugged USB, uninstalled the samsung device from device manager, disabled VS access protection, plugged usb back in and everything was OK. Wasted an hour, hopes it saves you one.

Anyone come across this? Cannot interact with the device in fastboot and have no way to install the correct drivers as the device manager will consistanly reinstall the LeMobile drivers and wont allow for the installation of the 'latest_usb_driver_windows'.

Instead, simple connecting the audio interfaces with the mobile devices should should work in many cases - especially on iOS. On Android, there are e.g. OTG adapters to connect interfaces with the Android devices.

For high uptime and availability, we can help your business ensure its Zebra mobile computers, bar code scanners, RFID devices and wireless LAN (WLAN) infrastructure are online and ready for business.

I'm trying to set up my app development environment and have hit a snag. When I connect an Android device to my laptop running Ubuntu 16.04, it is not recognized in any way. It starts charging, but I don't get any popups asking me to connect or mount it. This is happening with two different devices (Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and Lenovo Yoga Book) and multiple USB cables.

If this works first unplug your device, use "lsusb" to get the list of attached USB devices and second connect your device in fastboot mode with your host and use lsusb again. You will see one additional device. In my case this looks like:

Next you need to create an udev rule. To do so edit or create the file /etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules and add the following content (don't forget to use your Vendor ID and your device/product ID):

No there isn't a work around, other than use windows, the problem is clearly on intel's end and they should address it, either fix their devices to work with current Linux fastboot binaries, or release a Linux binary that works with their devices.

If you have problems connecting to Indiana University's wireless network, make sure your device's wireless software or drivers are up to date. Wireless manufacturers regularly release new driver updates to solve issues such as interoperability problems with access points from other vendors, or to address software bugs. Having the latest software or drivers for your wireless adapter will assure that you'll have the best performance, reliability, and functionality.

Most manufacturers will have support pages where you can download files for your drivers as needed. If the driver on your computer is older than the driver on the manufacturer's website, download the newer versions.

The device's name will use the android.os.Build.MODEL property for the device. KFSUWI refers to Fire HD 10 (2017) tablet. You can see a list of build model names in the Identifying Fire Tablet Devices.

Instead of looking in the devices menu in Android Studio, you can also use some ADB terminal commands to confirm that your device is connected. ADB is useful for performing many other operations as well, such as entering sandbox mode or installing other assets. Follow these two sections:

If rescanning devices doesn't detect your Fire tablet as a device, your micro-USB cable might be bad, you might have the wrong USB connection type (e.g, camera instead of media device), or you might not have enabled USB debugging. You can also try restarting your computer and the tablet.

This page describes how to uninstall a device or driver package on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Before uninstalling a device, we recommend physically unplugging the device from the system. If the device is uninstalled before it is unplugged, Windows may rediscover the device and reinstall drivers for it in the time between the uninstall and unplugging the device.

This approach has not worked for me. Windows does not provide drivers no matter how many reboots or update checks I do within Windows Settings, with and without the phone plugged in directly to my laptop's ports via an OEM cable at different stages of the process.

"The best drivers for your device are already installed

Windows has determined that the best driver for this device is already installed. There may be better drivers on Windows Update or on the device manufacturer's website.

MTP USB Device

I've searched on the forums, and the best answer I've seen so far is to remove the generic windows drivers first, then try installing the Google USB Driver. By right clicking Pixel 7 in the Windows Computer Management tool, I can see the following options:

To get Windows to download the fastboot driver make sure you have it set to even download drivers, and also, it might show as kind of an odd name, for instance mine was "LeMobile Android Bootloader Interface"

Yep, I believe this is already the case. Whenever I click the "check for updates" button, usually 1 or 2 Intel and Dell drivers are downloaded and installed. But seemingly none are related to Android / Google USB Drivers.

1) Disconnect your phone from the computer

2) Open an admin cmd prompt

3) Type the following in the command prompt window:

 set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1

4) Type the following in the command prompt window:

 devmgmt.msc

5) Look in all relevent sections (Human interface devices, System Devices, Universal Serial Bus controllers) then right click & uninstall any drivers related to your pixel. They should be greyed out if the device is disconnected, as it should be. Take your time, be thorough. Make sure you wipe out all references to your pixel and only your pixel.

6) Next, confirm your pixel has the "OEM unlock" toggle enabled, then reboot it into fastboot mode.

7) Connect your pixel to the computer using the originally packaged USB cable. Wait until the computer tries to recognize it. We expect it to fail.

8) In Device Manager, right click over the new, unknown device that is your pixel and select Update Driver. Choose "Browse my Computer for Drivers."

9) Now, you should have unzipped the driver folder from the Google download and put it on your desktop or somewhere similar where you can find it easily. Point to this folder when prompted and the driver should install.

Shendai

Thanks for your troubleshooting steps.

I am pretty new to this, have a Pixel4a, and HP computer with Windows 10 (sadly my Macs are pre OS11 so can't use them)

I have had exactly the same issues as zzz, OEM unlocked, error message - Error: Failed to execute 'requestDevice' on 'USB': No device selected

Windows seems intent on having selected "the best driver" for the pixel (as per the Device Manager, driver details / update attempts).

I have viewed drivers in the Human Interface, System Devices, USB controllers, nothing mentions Pixel4a or any apparent connection to the Pixel, are there any other suggestions you might have to circumvent Windows 10 auto select of drivers?

I did try to map the environment variant to a SDK downloaded package, but this didn't have any effect.

Try a number of connectors to no avail.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully you may be able to resolve it zzz.
