I set up Face ID on my new iPhone XR and it works except for one app. It's my bank app. I get this message when I sign in to my bank... "there was a problem starting face id. You are not authorized to use this feature" What's the problem? Is it the phone or the app? Is there anything I can do to make it work?

Same for me on a new iPhone Xs. This is with the UFCU banking app. No Face ID issues with other banking apps, and the UFCU app worked fine with Touch ID on an older iPhone. I figured it is an issue with the app, and not with the iPhone, so I contacted UFCU for support (moments ago, no reply yet).

My bank, Wells Fargo, whom ive done phone banking with since before the pandemic does not accept pics of checks from my brand new iphone pro 14. I can see its blurry and i try to tap for focus and every other darn thing to no avail. Any ideas?

When you transfer money from your Apple Cash1 card, you can either use a bank transfer to send funds to your bank account in 1 to 3 days or you can use Instant Transfer2 to send funds instantly3 to an eligible Mastercard or Visa debit card.

You can transfer up to $10,000 per transfer and up to $20,000 within a seven-day period from Apple Cash to your bank account. You can only transfer your money to a bank account in the United States. There are no fees to transfer your money from Apple Cash to your bank account, unless you use an Instant Transfer.

Check your bank statement to see if the transfer has been processed and deposited into your bank account. Bank transfers aren't deposited on bank holidays or the weekend. See holidays observed by the Federal Reserve on federalreserve.gov.

Hi, anyone knows why my iphone7 doesn't receive my bank SMS and OTPs? I've contacted my bank and they confirm they've released the SMS to me. I've contacted my carrier and they advised everything is ok on their end and that it could be my phone. Am stuck and so frustrated because I can't do any online transaction, neither do I get notification on receipt or sending of money to and from my account.

SMS is a carrier function. There is no setting for SMS on the iPhone. I'm not aware of what an OTP is, so I cannot comment on that. You need to work with your carrier about SMS, or if you have a friend that has an Android device, see if you can get SMS from them. As far as the receipt question, that would have to be addressed with the bank as to how they do that. Is this an app, or are you doing this through a browser?

Okay, now I understand what OTP is, but USSD is puzzling. Remember, not everyone uses the same acronyms. I have several accounts that use this OTP, or as they call it, a verification number to enter to verify your login. They are sent via SMS to my iPhone, and I've not experienced any issues. These include a couple of sites by the US federal government accounts, and one of my credit cards. I don't believe it is fair to say generally this is an issue with the iPhone. I would continue trying to work with the bank and your carrier to determine the address/number the bank is sending this information to. If this is coming from a computer, which is normally is, they may need to verify with the carrier they are addressing this SMS correctly to get to the phone. You may also ask the bank, or any of your friends or co-workers that use the same bank if anyone else is experiencing problems. When you say you attempted this on an Android device supports my determination this is not just an iPhone issue. Good luck working with them.

Thank you for the update and the information. Guess that is an issue I've not had to deal with here. I can either use my bank's app or a website. The other places that I use these text verifications are website based, no matter what browser I use. I hope they are able to get this worked out for you.

Let me start off by saying that I have never jailbroken my iPhone before. With that being said, I recently updated to iOS14 (as in just yesterday) and today was the first time I have logged into my banking app since I updated it. Immediately upon opening the app, I was notified that my iPhone appeared to have been jailbroken & that apparently that comes with some risks & in order to continue to use the app I had to agree to accept those risks,,,
