It is always a challenge to upload to FB because the compression and specs change. Many years ago, I gave up and uploaded the highest quality image I could and let FB butcher it. Now, I never upload photos.

After upgrading my phone and coming over to iOS, I began uploading videos and photos to FB via the app itself only to find out that it was not uploading it in HD quality at all.

By default, your app is set to NOT upload them in HD unless you specifically turn it on. The good news is that it's really easy to do so.

Simply go into your Facebook settings, locate Videos and Photos, and then turn on the Upload HD setting for both photos and videos.

As a bonus, you can also stop videos from auto-playing here in this section!

This setting is specifically for iPhone itself. I believe Android users also must enable the setting elsewhere.

I'm using facebook SDK for PHP to get post on user timeline. I use api "/me/feed" to get the timeline. The problem is that I can display text only. I want to display all image which uploaded or shared by each post. How can I do that?

I figured it out! I looked back to when I was trying to upload another file, when at the same time I was uploading 2 others. those two uploaded, but the third did not. I recently recorded another video and tried to upload it again, and it worked. It only lets me upload when there is a more recent file in the camera app. to anyone having this issue, try taking a picture first. I would like to ask meta to look into this problem, And find why this works. Hopefully This helped!

We see you're running in to an issue sharing video files on Facebook from your Quest 2, and we're happy to help you get things working as expected again. Being able to share your VR experiences with others is one of the best things about it, so we'll get to the bottom of this.

hey im actually having this same problem. when i first started uploading videos i had no problems. but now it gives me the same notification about uploading but never does. i've tried everything, syncing it to my phone but keeps saying i dont have wifi on even though i do, tried to upload it to drive, wont work. and even tried to cast it to my phone and record, but for that the audio is messed up and never is lined up with what im doing in the vid. i honestly wish there were more options than facebook since i never really use it besides this. i just want to upload my vids. why is this so frustratingly difficult?.

Hi I am using Vegas Pro 12 to create time-lapse video which I would like to post on Facebook story. I recorded the video in landscape mode. After editing everything and rendering, the video becomes portrait and squished when I try to upload it to Facebook story. I want to post it as landscape. If I try to upload the raw unedited video directly from my phone, it uploads as a landscape video. Can anyone help me with this issue. I feel like I need to play with render setting to fix this problem. Thanks in advance!

Here is what I mean by squished. Sorry I don't know the correct term haha. First picture is how I see it on my phone. Second picture is when I try to upload it on Facebook. If I try to upload unedited video from my phone then it uploads fine in landscape.

Transferred it to my phone through a cable & uploaded to FB Stories, the size difference made no difference, it was still squished, . I like squished ?but I'd say it was more stretched than squished ?

Nothing to do with render settings and most likely nothing you can do about it except attempt a different way of posting the video.

Facebook & Instagram are platforms that are notorious for doing random switches on video formats. I haven't been in the game for a while, but I suggest looking up the ideal resolution. If the most upto date search yields that what you're doing is correct, then it's most definitely a bug related to the phone app (which is also typical of facebook)

So I rendered it again in MainConcept AVC/AAC like @EricLNZ mentioned and used @Gid render settings which were pretty much the same as what I had. The video was still stretched/squished I when uploaded it from my personal profile. But when I uploaded it from my business page it was in landscape. Its strange but it ended up working out for me. Thank you guys for all your help! I really appreciate it.?

I noticed yesterday that a picture I attempted to upload to FB wouldn't go through. Today, I've tried no less than 10 times to upload a picture, and have been unsuccessful! I can't upload it through our WiFi or through the phone's connection. It goes through the entire "100%" uploaded bar, only to give the "Cannot upload picture" message.
