How Do I Download Brother Iprint And Scan On My Computer High Quality

The question says it all.

I asked Brother and all they told me were the files that could be printed/scanned (i.e. PDF, DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, PPT/PPTX, JPEG/PNG) not why .odt files were ignored. However, I have asked them directly and await reply.

I know I can (and do) print/scan directly from my computer or from the printer itself. I just wonder if Brother has got something against open source files. A bit petty if they have.

With that said, you may be able to use the Image Capture app instead of the Open Scanner in Settings. That is the first thing I would try. If the standard ICA driver that is provided with the OS is unable to detect your scanner in Image Capture, then you will need an ICA driver from brother. Since they choose not to support Ventura, you may be able to find it in a different model from Brother. They say it is included with the Printer Drivers that you can download, but don't know if they give you the option to just install the ICA driver without the printer drivers.

The work around I found is to create a new printer, that is "Control panels-> Printers and Scanners-> Add printer, Scanner or Fax". For me (a brother MPC8680DN) it comes up in the list. Select it and give it a new name, perhaps with a number at the end. Like Upstairs Brother 2023-1. It works for 3-7 scans, then you have to create another printer with a new name. Don't worry the control panel will let you delete the old ones.

Thanks but I have already done the uninstall/reinstall, like multiple times. And I have already used the printer for months without the "iprint&scan" software. But need it to do multi-page scans to PDF.

Brother iprint&scan works fine on my other computers with the same Windows version and the same updates. But your theory re a incomplete or corrupt Windows update sounds like a plausible explanation worth a try. I am paying especially attention to any Windows update patches on this computer, but I will never say never so will try to uninstall the mentions KB's and test between each uninstall. I'll run a full backup first just in case, so this will take me a few hours and I don't have that until the coming weekend. But will certainly try this and post back here.

I also thought about trying an older version of Brother iprint&scan but could not find any old versions anywhere. My printer is a DCP-T710W, but I think this software supports any Brother printer with scanning capabilities. So any old version should work, unless maybe versions older than my printer.
