It seems something should be running on your local machine on port 9510. I don't know what Unified Remote is, but have you started any service it installed, etc.? What has a forum or internet search revealed about this problem? Is there a website for unified remote that has troubleshooting info for this particular issue?

So, I've recently installed unified remote server on my ubuntu laptop, and everything works perfectly fine until i try to type something, after typing one letter server crashes immediately. Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it? And I would like to point out that I am new to ubuntu.

So if you're up for making some code changes, you can edit the mouse remote (make sure to make a backup copy of the file beforehand!) and replace the mouse.click actions with both mouse.down and mouse.up. I'm not sure exactly which remote file corresponds to the actual mouse remote, but it's probably either /opt/urserver/remotes/Unified/Core/Mouse/remote.lua or /opt/urserver/remotes/Unified/Core/Input/remote.lua.

Follow these steps to install a custom remote. Note that this tutorial is applicable to all operating systems. However some steps will be slightly different depending on which operating system you use.

First you need to make sure you have all the files. If the custom remote is in a zip file, start by opening the zip file and extract the folder to a suitable location, for example on your Desktop. If the custom remote doesn't come with a folder, then just create a new folder on your Desktop and put the files inside of it.

Unified Remote is the result of a hobby project of two Swedish students, Jakob Berglund and Philip Bergqvist, which later turned into a profitable start-up venture. The app was first launched as a free app on Android in 2010, with simple features and support for 13 remote controls for Windows applications. A year later, an improved version was released, as well as a paid (premium) version including more features and remote controls. The latest version was launched in 2014, which included an overhauled user interface and introduced support for iOS, Mac, and Linux.

The application provides many remote controls for various programs. This includes basic mouse and keyboard input and support for media applications, presentation software, and even power functions. The server also provides an open API, which makes it possible for developers to create their own custom remote controls.[11]

There are several different apps on the various app stores that provide similar universal remote control functionality. Other competitors also include official apps for different media applications, which instead provide dedicated remote control functionality for specific applications.

In more recent years, software vendors have begun to target smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs directly, thus making the need for a computer remote control redundant. This is especially apparent within the home entertainment space with products such as Apple TV, AirPlay, and Chromecast.

One of the unintended results of cord cutting (for me) has been a proliferation of alternate streaming devices, appliances and accessories. This led to the next step, which was in finding a good universal remote, which then resulted in my (renewed) discovery of Logitech Harmony products.

Control Center voice-activated universal TV remote & home theater hub unifies all devices connected to the TV. The first truly universal TV remote control for the entire home theater: cable and satellite TV, DVR, streaming media players, game...

So what can I do? With the unified App, when the Server is started, but with the smartphone I am NOT in the WLAN, I CAN hibernate or shutdown the server, but when the PC is hibernated or shutten down, then I CAN NOT wake it up, when I am not in the WLAN.

When I am in the WLAN, so I can wake it up with the unified app.

New server version 3.13.0.2505 (52) crashes when you type using the Android system keyboard. The first letter you type works but server immediately crashes before second letter can be typed. Keyboard remote and other remotes work. Tested on EndeavourOS and Debian with same results. reported to dev

Hi, I'm a complete LInux noob and i've just switched from windows because i'm tired of microsoft spying on me. For the most part everything has been fine apart from the fact that i cannot for the life of me make unified remote boot on startup.

I currently have the portable version of the app and it works fine if i double click on it but i don't want to do it everytime i boot my computer. I want it to be done automatically.

I tried adding it to the autostartup tab in settings but it still doesn't work.

This module utilizes the Unified Remote remote control protocol to type out and deploy a payload. The remote control protocol can be configured to have no passwords, a group password, or individual user accounts. If the web page is accessible, the access control is set to no password for exploitation, then reverted. If the web page is not accessible, exploitation will be tried blindly. This module has been successfully tested against version 3.11.0.2483 (50) on Windows 10.

Unified Remote Access, the successor to DirectAccess, offers a new approach to remote access, as well as several deployment scenarios to best suit your organization and needs. This book will take you through the design, planning, implementation and support for URA, from start to finish.

Customer support can be funny, but remote access is serious business. Ever since the Internet came into our homes several decades ago, people have been using various solutions and technologies to connect to the corporate network, and work remotely. Many technologies came our way over the years; analog modem dialup initially, then ISDN, and most recently DSL, Cable, LTE, and WiMAX. Whatever connection type your users are using, virtually all solutions involve one thing in common: when the user needs to connect, he has to launch some kind of program to establish that connection. This inherent design has always been a burden, as users find various ways to mess up the connection (and let's face it...sometimes...rarely...it's not even their fault).

UAG, which is Microsoft's enterprise-class application publishing and remote access server, includes a special interface designed to allow the configuration and deployment of DirectAccess in a way that's a lot friendlier than before, such as support for IPv4-only networks via NAT64 and DNS64, and support for array-deployment. The product was a tremendous success, and was adopted by some of the largest companies in the world, as well as governments and military organizations. The following is a screenshot of the UAG console:

The built-in PowerShell cmdlets allow the Unified Remote Access role to be installed on a Windows Server in Server Core. Server Core mode is a server that is installed with a reduced set of services and options, allowing tighter security and improved performance, as less resources are used by the operating system, freeing them up for use to service users accessing remotely.

In the first tunnel, the Windows Firewall uses two levels of authentication. The first authentication uses computer certificates (this is why the Certificate infrastructure was required to distribute the machine certificates to all client machines and the DirectAccess server). The second authentication in the first tunnel uses the NTLM credentials of the computer account in the domain (this is why DirectAccess requires that all clients be domain members). The two levels of authentication make it highly secure. Because the computer account is used in the first tunnel authentication, the tunnel can be established even before the user logs on to the machine. This allows the domain administrator to connect to the client securely for the purpose of remote-management, even before the user is logged on to the machine. For this reason, this first tunnel is also called the machine tunnel or the management tunnel.
