The Tidal Titan has incredible resistance to physical attacks. You have to kill it with a magic attack. The heroes with the strongest magic attack will have the most success in destroying this monster.

For beginner players, I would strongly recommend spending all your energy on this monster. The gear that you can get with the Noceros loot will help you with construction, research, and food gathering. Maxing out this hero and then getting the correct equipment is critical for game-play.

It is supposed to look ferocious. I guess it does. But with the right magic power, you can take it down like salt on ice cream. There is great advanced gear that you can create with the Saberfang so prepare to spend plenty of energy killing this monster.

Think of a crab. Think of a weird guy with 8 yellow eyes. Now get rid of that thought and replace it with something else entirely. Enter the Hell Drider. The monster who hits people with double-layered lamp-posts and who has lower teeth that risk poking his eyes. The Hell Drider is what happens when Doctor Octopus and the Balrog from Lords of the Rings have a baby.

It may contain great gear, but the Gryphon is one overused magical creature. The lion mixed with the eagle. Seriously? They should have also made a giant monster who is really dumb as well. Oh, nevermind, they did that too.

This monster is tough to kill and to be honest I will probably change my opinion on it. It claims to only be defeated by magic and yet the physical heroes seem to really hurt it (when mixed with magical heroes). The conclusion is that magic is far better!

A new special monster came out as part of a collaboration between Lords Mobile and Armored Combat Worldwide. Armored Soul is a group of battle-hardened ancient knights who fight for Nox, the Goddess of Darkness. Hero and Monster Collections are a new form of expansion for Descent: Journeys in the Dark Second Edition. Each collection contains four heroes, three or more monster groups, and two brand new quests for you to experience. Many of the heroes and monsters included in Hero and Monster Collections are updated versions of heroes and monsters previously only available in the first edition of Descent.

Often in comic books, as it has been in film and many other cultural references, Frankenstein is seen as part of a monster mash-up. Either Frankenstein is set against his fellow monsters, such as Dracula, or he travels with them as a pack.

Speaking of mash-ups, Frankenstein is a popular monster for superheroes to fight, especially this time of year. Who can resist the thought of their favorite superhero taking on one of the most iconic monsters of all time? Frankenstein has fought Batman, Ironman, the Hulk, and Captain America, just to name a few.

But Frankenstein has been re-imagined as more than just a typical monster or villain. There have been female Frankenstein characters and futuristic cyborg monsters that continue the story of a pieced-together creature with a tortured soul. Frankenstein has even taken a turn at being a superhero himself!

Monster Hordes consist of 80 monsters randomly featuring all Element colours. You can face up to 20 monsters per attack, so the Monster Horde will last for at least 4 attacks, longer if you or another Alliance member fail to defeat all 20 monsters on their attack.

Cheers for this.

I have just completed a round of energy, I was puzzled by what was I meant to be doing to start with but thanks to this guide got to grips with it. Having found a horde of monsters I gave battle and killed off 74 out of 80 before my energy ran out.

Overall I enjoyed this a lot, way more fun that W3K which I regard as a waster of time.

Good work from the game creators.

The Monster function unlocks at Level 70. It buffs your team and has its own active ability, but it has no basic attack and can't be attacked. You can have one monster active per team at a time. (ie. You'll be using one monster most of the team unless you need to set more than one team such as in Trial of the Champion)

Phoenix is the best overall starting monster. This is mainly because it kind of a hybrid of both Deer and Wolf. Phoenix deals a decent amount of damage with some burning damage over time and also heals your heroes.

Wolf is still the strongest PvE monster, mainly just for Broken Spaces, because it can deal a ton of damage with the bleed. Wolf is more of an all in PvE monster so that's all it really excels in. Phoenix will help keep your heroes alive and do decent damage while Wolf will only do damage.

The main issue with Deer as a starting monster is that it heals 20% of the heroes total HP and if you're in early/mid game, that 20% will be a lot less than Phoenix's flat heal rate. Deer is a great end game monster all around, but not as good as Phoenix early/mid game.

Dragon is a solid PvP monster throughout the game. Not only does its active have a chance to stun enemies but it also gives your heroes a lot of holy damage. Its passives give crit chance and crit damage.

Good early/mid game PvP, the best monster for PvE, but falls off late game in PvP. Only max out Wolf rune speed if it is your primary monster for PvP otherwise skip it!) Its passive gives armor break/precision.

Ok early/mid game PvP/PvE, the best monster overall late game, especially for GW/Brave Trials/Seal Land (great synergy with Valkyrie, early/mid game deer teams will still probably lose to Phoenix/Wolf teams assuming hero lineups are about the same). Its passive gives armor/block.

If you built a different monster than these three, rebirth it only if you can spare the Gold then follow the guide above. If you cannot spare the Gold to do a rebirth, then keep your current monster and work towards the monster you decide to build based on the guide above. Remember that having three monsters is crucial for Trial of the Champion.

The ninja duo Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame offer Speed-o'-Sound Sonic a monster cell and invite him to join them in their conquest to kill Flashy Flash. Sonic accepts their offer and takes the monster cell wanting to give up his humanity to surpass Saitama.

At the Hero Association, the staff discusses the sudden monster attack and their quick disappearance. Rabbit, Meat Pounder, and Ironet are sent to defeat Marshall Gorilla, but Zombieman offers to go instead. Zombieman observes Marshall Gorilla and notices somebody approaching him. Marshall Gorilla meets Armored Gorilla and was shocked to figure out that Armored Gorilla "sided" with the humans. Marshall Gorilla attacks him with his knife, only for it to break on Armored Gorilla, who proceeds to defeat him in one blow. Watching this altercation, Zombieman decided to follow Armored Gorilla instead.

At the Hero Association HQ, a staff member bursts into the conference room with a message from the Monster Association. It is revealed that the staff member is the host of a parasitic monster. Gyoro Gyoro asks the executives through the staff member not to attack their living area and wishes to have a co-existing society between monsters and humans. However, this is all just a ploy as Destrochloridium kills one of the executives. Gyoro Gyoro proceeds to reveal their real intent which is a war between the groups with their very best. Superalloy Darkshine arrives in time and effortlessly kills Destrochloridium.

Meanwhile, at the Monster Association HQ, the monsters discuss their plan. Awakened Cockroach is eaten by Orochi for losing to Genos and to assert his authority. Do-S was also at risk of being killed but is spared for her abilities.

Genos is fully repaired by Dr. Kuseno, who spent the whole night fixing him. Genos thanks him for his efforts and states he will never lose again, to which Dr. Kuseno tells Genos to be careful and not do anything reckless. The Monster Association leaks the information to the public media about the captured hostage and the announced war between them and the Hero Association, and fear spreads among the public. Metal Knight is discussing with Child Emperor about a proposed plan to destroy the Monster Association hideout by killing all the monsters, including the hostage, but as the idea was rejected by the Hero Association, Metal Knight refused to join the mission, much to Child Emperor's annoyance. As the news spread, many monsters decide to join the Monster Association and head towards their hideout, only to be killed by Saitama, who was late for the garbage truck.

Tareo and his friends are discussing how someone has been using their secret hut in a park. When they arrive, Tareo is bullied into entering the hut to tell the person to leave. As Tareo enters the hut, much to his surprise, he encounters Garou. Outside, Death Gatling has formed a team of A and B-Class heroes to ambush Garou and asks the children to leave. Garou then senses killing intent and concludes he is surrounded and asks Tareo for the Hero Association Catalog to identify the heroes outside his shack.

After identifying all of the heroes, Garou exits the shack. Gun-Gun quickly opens fire on Garou, but Garou easily dodges and attempts to counterattack. However, he is forced to dodge again because of Stinger's attack. Stinger's attack is quickly followed up with Arrow Rain from Shooter, which Garou also manages to dodge. Chain'n'toad begins the next wave of attacks as Smile Man attacks from above and Wild Horn attacks from behind. Garou notices Glasses' lack of action but is then hit by Chain'n'toad's weapon and attacked by Smile Man again. Chain'n'toad uses his Ear Cutter technique but fails to injure Garou. Smile Man and Chain'n'toad proceed to continuously barrage Garou before the Human Monster has any time to recover. Arrow Rain comes down as Smile Man, Chain'n'toad, and Gun Gun attack all at once. Despite twisting in the air, Garou is hit by two of the arrows. Glasses resupplies Shooter before Garou tries to go after the hero. Glasses manages to dodge Garou's initial attack and lands a hit on Garou as the Hero Hunter is distracted by the heroes behind him. Afterward, Death Gatling gives Garou one last chance to surrender. 17dc91bb1f
