The typical uninstall process is not working as it should be. App developers pack everything like app files, Registry entries & commands into a Windows installer with .exe extension. However, the operating system does not monitor or record where these files or services to be installed, what settings or Registry entries are going to be added or changed, or dictates the way the app is going to run. And it is the responsibility of the developers for app removal and cleanups. In most cases, the official uninstaller included & installed during the installation is good enough to remove most things it has created and changed, with only a few empty folders or entries that are simple for everyone to remove. However, apps do not ship with a well-built uninstaller, resulting in messy issues like corrupted files, loads of leftover files & error messages, and causing system slowdown, longer bootup time & slow program response and instability issues.

Total Uninstaller is the state-of-art uninstaller designed to remove unwanted Windows apps effectively and completely. It is simple & safe to use, and the streamlined features enable you to maintain a better PC state by effectively removing unused/unwanted apps, associated leftover files like registry entries and installed services completely and safely, without being worried of incorrectly deleting wrong items or causing system malfunction. The complete removal resolves the errors caused by incomplete uninstall, like the app can't be installed due to a previous installation or the app can't be uninstalled without the Uninstall button at the Apps and Features.

Total Uninstaller is built natively to be fast, lightweight and efficient to uninstall any unwanted app thoroughly without any clutter. Everything is automated and optimized for speed, allowing you to perform total uninstall tasks within minutes, completely removing the app & associated leftover files. It forces the running apps to exit completely, initializes the uninstall process, cleans up all the leftover files & Registry entries effectively, and then removes all the services if available.

The smart search and removal capability for the app of corrupt files & Registry entries are well engineered to resolve the issues like the uninstall process not initialized, missing app uninstaller, and no-reponse uninstall function in the Apps and Features. With the effort to effectively remove all the items, the errors caused by incomplete install or uninstall are resolved with ease. A dedicated uninstall troubleshooter, developed in progress, will include all the tools to fix these issues completely out of the box.

A system restore allows you undo system changes by reverting your PC to a previous restore point, which, if enabled, will be automatically created for every uninstall in the System Restore under System Protection, where you can restore critical system settings in case that the uninstall process can't be completed as expected, offering a sense of calm and confidence when using Total Uninstaller for any app removal. Please be noted you will have to turn on system protection option for the creation of a restore point.

Installed Programs module analyze existing installations and create a log with installation changes. It can uninstall programs even without the help of the supplied Add Remove program.

Ā Just select from the list the program that you want to uninstall and in a few seconds Total Uninstall will analyze it and will show in a tree view detected files, folders, registry keys and values of that program. You can review the details and remove some of the detected items. Total Uninstall is ready to uninstall the analyzed program. It will use first the supplied Add Remove program and will continue removing remaining items using the log.

Monitored Programs module helps to monitor any changes made to your system during the installation of a new program. It allows you to perform a complete uninstall without having to rely on the supplied built-in uninstaller, which can leave files or changes behind.

Ā Total Uninstall creates a snapshot of your system prior to installing a new program. It then takes an additional snapshot after the installation has completed. It then compares the two snapshots and displays all changes in a graphical tree view, marking all registry values and/or files that have been added, changed or deleted. Total Uninstall saves these changes and, if you decide to uninstall the program, it will reverse the changes to the previous state.

Some unscrupulous developers make sure that their programs are as hard to remove as possible while other things like malware get totally rooted in your system and Windows uninstaller can do little to help. That's why you may find it useful to use Total Uninstall before you install new software as it creates a snapshot of your system prior to installing a new application. It then takes an additional snapshot after the installation has completed and performs an automatic comparison of the two. The program displays any changes that have been made in a tree view, highlighting all registry values and/or files that have been added, changed or deleted. The program then saves these changes and if you decide to uninstall the application, it can reverse the changes to the previous state. This is similar to the Windows rollback utility although that takes up a lot of space on your hard drive and only makes rollback points at certain intervals. This program does it when you want although it does take rather a long time to scan and analyze the state of your machine at any one time.

I tried uninstalling the extension and re-install it, same problem. I uninstalled the application altogether and reinstalled it - but when I do that, my extensions are still installed (for instance Python and reStructuredText were still there). I uninstalled yet again and deleted the %USER%\AppData\Roaming|Local\Code directory. When I reinstalled, the extensions were still there.

For Windows - Users\username.vscode\extensionsYou may delete what extensions you don't want. And Click on hidden items then follow the below instructions -This PC -> C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Code\CachedExtensionVSIXs anddelete file which you uninstalled.

First go to extensions tab and then click the 3 dots in the top right corner then disable all extensions and check if the sound is gone or not .If yes then find the extension which was causing the problem and uninstall it.

I was having an issue on a laptop that I had migrated my settings from a previous one and maybe had some corrupted extension or something. I ended up uninstalling vscode and then manually deleting the roaming code folder completely.

I opened the terminal and removed the .vscode/ from ~. I also deleted the Visual Studio Code.app/ from /. However, after deleting all that and downloading a fresh copy, I installed and open the editor and the editor remembered the last project I had. For me, that means that it is something else I need to delete but I can't find it. I went to the documentation but can't find anything about uninstalling the editor.

I've looked up every single possible way to solve this issue for the past few weeks have haven't found anything, so I want to completely uninstall Xcode and clear all settings; but I can't find a way to do this. I can uninstall it, but when I reinstall it, it still has all of my old settings and lists of projects etc. How can I completely uninstall it?

I followed the topmost answer for deleting Xcode 7 and found a major error, deleting ~/Library/Developer will delete an important folder called PrivateFrameworks, which will actually crash Xcode everytime you reinstall and force you to have to get your friends to send you the PrivateFrameworks folder again, a complete waste of time seeing if you needed to uninstall and reinstall Xcode urgently for immediate work purposes. 2351a5e196
