I'm working on a project to allow me to wirelesssly measure and log the temperatures in a building. I want to build an accurate picture of how the temperature varies from room to room and over time. The information gained can then be used to optimise the heating system.

I'm going to take advantage of the fact that I only need to record temperature every 10 minutes or more to minimise the average current consumption. To do this I need a low power, long time delay circuit to wake up the logger at regular intervals, take readings and transmit the data to a base station.

The 555 can be used in a number of different ways to produce square waves, pulses or simple one shot timing. I need a one shot timer that can energise the datalogger after a delay and be reset by the datalogger after it has performed the task.

I don't need the delay to be particularly accurate because I will need to log the time of the reading anyway. It doesn't matter whether I take readings every 8 minutes of every 12 minutes apart from the impact on the battery life of course. Anyway the circuit above seems to do just nicely.

Yesterday evening I was experiencing some difficulty with stable conections to Google Chromecast 3 units that I was trying to set up in our basement rec room and guest bedroom. After giving up on the ChromeCasts, I decided to go ahead and update the firmware on our MR60 router. I started the update through the iPhone app, and after some delay the app informed me that the update had failed. I tried to apply the update to version 1.1.6.122 (the latest) three more times without success. Finally I opted to 'Skip' the update in the iPhone app, but our WiFi was already locked up. I cycled the power on the router, but when it came back up I got the 'blinking LED' which Netgear describes as an indication of corrupted firmware.

Not sure where I can even gain a bit by removing, besides the fact we do not have any tools available in-game to get this limit back a bit. Being on PC, I can clear all terrain edits with the save editor, which would then require replacing many parts where needed for all my bases. Finding the single edits is complicated and would take a lot of work figuring out. I am hopeful though, as Hello Games had announced working on a feature that would help us out some time ago.

I agree with Tracey that your problem may have been the rate response thinking the rough ride was you were doing something that made you need a faster heart rate. As Tracey said, its sensitivity can be adjusted and that may be all you need.

One simple way I check my rate response is I'll tap on my pacemaker very lightly for 10 or 15 seconds. Check your pulse before and after the tapping and if your rate response is on your heart rate will probably increase.

I've had trouble with mine a few times when it increased my heart rate because it would get my heart chambers our of sync. Sometimes the impulses it sends conflict with the impulses from my heart's natural pacemaker and I will actually have slight chest pain. As a result, the sensitivity and delay on mine are set higher than most.

It sounds like your rate response is on and it misinterpreted the bumps in the road to mean you were working out. Ask about it. Sometimes they leave it on, thinking you may not need it but it's there so why not. If you pace atrial you may need it but need to change the sensitivity. If you pace ventricle, you probably do not need it at all.
