The Dual Messenger function allows you to use two different accounts with one chatting app. That means you can keep your accounts for work and home separate, but on the same phone. Only specific models and apps are supported with Dual Messenger. To set up Dual Messenger please see the step-by-step guide below.

I've been using Facebook messenger for several months, and never had this issue, but have almost blown through my limited texting allowance this month, and think it's because Facebook Messenger messages are being counted in the text quota. I almost never send/receive picture/video texts, and this month shows a bunch - I'm thinking the icons in Facebook Messenger are being counted that way. Any ideas or confirmation?

If your messages come into the green message icon then they are texts. If you have FB messenger or receive your messages from the FB app then they are not texts. If you have registered your mobile number with FB you may be receiving text notifications about almost anything that applies to your FB count or things you are tagged in or have commented on. This you must go to FB on your computer to disable.

What is the phone number that is being texted or texts received from? Is it a known phone number or a shortcode? 32665 is used for FBOOK, for texting status updates and leaving comments via text messaging if you don't use the FB app. But you are using the Messaging (Facebook Messenger) app .... I would think it would use data.

Note: If you select a contact from the Contact Hub which has both a phone number and an email address, the message will be sent via text and email. If the contact you choose was added to your Contact Hub with an email address and no phone number your message will be sent via email.

For instance today I sent photos of xmas decorations to a facebook messenger group (as above) clearly showing the eight pictures I selected. However what appeared in the chat box was not the pictures showing.. In fact they were ummmmmm pictures that would normally never been shown.. yes emabarrising.

I disabled the default sony album when i first got the sony zx, without having the option of albums inside the app I find it impossible to save photos in an organised manner. I have always used quickpics on all my sony phones. My sony z3 and z5 never had this issue with attaching photos in fb messenger.

The reason I ask if it happens with the default album is I am trying to determine if the issue is with the app or the phone. If we can isolate where the issue is I can better direct you to a solution.

The MyGabb App allows for contact management for Gabb Watches, as well as GPS tracking capability for Gabb Watches and phones. Gabb Messenger is installed automatically on all Gabb Phone Plus devices as the default messaging application for kids. It includes preemptive blocking for images with explicit content, links from unknown contacts, and harmful words from unknown contacts. Parents can also download the Gabb Messenger for Parents app to see flagged messages that their children receive, message deleting control, and creating an approved contact list.

I have tried using Helium Backup but it does not backup Facebook Messenger. Titanium Backup unfortunately is not an option as the phone cannot be rooted (rooting it would require a data reset, which would delete the messages).

The installation process is pretty easy. We installed the software and the drivers per the instructions, and plugged the Bluetooth dongle into the PC. Then we went through the Bluetooth pairing process, which took a few minutes. After the two devices were paired, we launched Skype, and the Mini Pocket Messenger phone recognized it immediately. We were then able to access our entire Skype contacts list and make calls as usual. Call quality was actually pretty decent--about the same as regular Skype calls with a headset. Included with the package is a wired headset to plug into the Mini Phone for better sound quality.

The Voiis Mini Pocket Messenger Phone is compatible with Skype, AIM voice chat, and MSN Messenger voice chat. It can list about 500 contacts, and the software included has a list-editing feature. It alerts you when your contacts are online, and you can set the phone to ring or vibrate with incoming calls. The Voiis Mini is a Class 1 Bluetooth device, meaning that you can use it within 100 meters of the Bluetooth dongle.

After completing at least one route, History is unlocked in the main menu (before choosing Original Story). You can replay the phone conversations you have previously listened to, but you can only choose the reply options you had already selected before. You can also replay conversations where you call back a missed call. The difference between the answered and missed incoming call is the first part of the conversation; usually, in the missed call, the character tells you they called you earlier. The rest of the dialogue is the same as the answered incoming call.

Background:  Long-term illnesses affect a significant proportion of the population in developed and developing countries. Mobile phone messaging applications, such as Short Message Service (SMS) and Multimedia Message Service (MMS), may present convenient, cost-effective ways of supporting self-management and improving patients' self-efficacy skills through, for instance, medication reminders, therapy adjustments or supportive messages.

Objectives:  To assess the effects of mobile phone messaging applications designed to facilitate self-management of long-term illnesses, in terms of impact on health outcomes and patients' capacity to self-manage their condition. Secondary objectives include assessment of: user evaluation of the intervention; health service utilisation and costs; and possible risks and harms associated with the intervention.

Selection criteria:  We included randomised controlled trials (RCTs), quasi-randomised controlled trials (QRCTs), controlled before-after (CBA) studies, or interrupted time series (ITS) studies with at least three time points before and after the intervention. We selected only studies where it was possible to assess the effects of mobile phone messaging independent of other technologies or interventions.

Main results:  We included four randomised controlled trials involving 182 participants. For the primary outcome of health outcomes, including physiological measures, there is moderate quality evidence from two studies involving people with diabetes showing no statistical difference from text messaging interventions compared with usual care or email reminders for glycaemic control (HbA1c), the frequency of diabetic complications, or body weight. There is moderate quality evidence from one study of hypertensive patients that the mean blood pressure and the proportion of patients who achieved blood pressure control were not significantly different in the intervention and control groups, and that there was no statistically significant difference in mean body weight between the groups. There is moderate quality evidence from one study that asthma patients receiving a text messaging intervention experienced greater improvements on peak expiratory flow variability (mean difference (MD) -11.12, 95% confidence interval (CI) -19.56 to -2.68) and the pooled symptom score comprising four items (cough, night symptoms, sleep quality, and maximum tolerated activity) (MD -0.36, 95% CI -0.56 to -0.17) compared with the control group. However, the study found no significant differences between the groups in impact on forced vital capacity or forced expiratory flow in 1 second. For the primary outcome of capacity to self-manage the condition, there is moderate quality evidence from one study that diabetes patients receiving the text messaging intervention demonstrated improved scores on measures of self-management capacity (Self-Efficacy for Diabetes score (MD 6.10, 95% CI 0.45 to 11.75), Diabetes Social Support Interview pooled score (MD 4.39, 95% CI 2.85 to 5.92)), but did not show improved knowledge of diabetes. There is moderate quality evidence from three studies of the effects on treatment compliance. One study showed an increase in hypertensive patients' rates of medication compliance in the intervention group (MD 8.90, 95% CI 0.18 to 17.62) compared with the control group, but in another study there was no statistically significant effect on rates of compliance with peak expiratory flow measurement in asthma patients. Text message prompts for diabetic patients initially also resulted in a higher number of blood glucose results sent back (46.0) than email prompts did (23.5).For the secondary outcome of participants' evaluation of the intervention, there is very low quality evidence from two studies that patients receiving mobile phone messaging support reported perceived improvement in diabetes self-management, wanted to continue receiving messages, and preferred mobile phone messaging to email as a method to access a computerised reminder system. For the secondary outcome of health service utilisation, there is very low quality evidence from two studies. Diabetes patients receiving text messaging support made a comparable number of clinic visits and calls to an emergency hotline as patients without the support. For asthma patients the total number of office visits was higher in the text messaging group, whereas the number of hospital admissions was higher for the control group.Because of the small number of trials included, and the low overall number of participants, for any of the reviewed outcomes the quality of the evidence can at best be considered moderate. e24fc04721
