The Desktop version or PC version of Terraria refers to the Windows, macOS, and Linux PC versions. These versions are produced entirely by Re-Logic, Terraria's original developer (whereas the current Console version is being worked upon by DR Studios, a third-party developer.) Because of this, updates always come to the Desktop version first.

All three desktop versions are on the same update path and are updated together, sharing a common version number, though each has its own installation package. All can be purchased/downloaded through Steam or GOG.com.

macOS and Linux versions became available starting with version 1.3.0.7 as a beta test package on July 23, 2015, and in 1.3.0.8 as a full release on August 12, 2015. All prior versions were Windows only.

so, lately I've been playing a lot of terraria on my xbox 360. just killed duke fishron for the 10th time and i was thinking to myself, "what if this was in 1.4.4". at first i though it was impossible but then i decided, "i'll just ask the internet". so is it possible to update xbox 360 terraria?

On this wiki, the Desktop version also includes the most recent tModLoader version. The "1.4.3-legacy" and "1.3-legacy" versions of tModLoader, based on Terraria 1.4.3.6 and 1.3.5.3, respectively, are disregarded on this wiki.

I know this is... well... morbidly stupid.. so please dont replay " ItS StUpId " I know that I am stupid. now the main topic, I want to download some parts, or a few pages of the terraria.wiki.gg ... How does one do that ? and I know that I could screenshot the pages, buttttt... that's ( A) Boring. (B) Wayyyy toomuch work (C) Not what a Tech nerd would do. So, please enlighten me, with your Vast knowledge on, How to download a wiki.

Summary

Staying on a tModLoader version for a Terraria server can provide stability and compatibility. If a mod configuration works well, sticking to a particular tModLoader version ensures a consistent server experience and avoids potential compatibility issues. Additionally, remaining on a known version allows for a stable environment without introducing possible bugs or conflicts.

Hey guys, just a quick question, i will play Terraria in the PS Vita, but i read on the Guide that the vita/ps3 is locked at 1.2.4 version of the game and the PS4 is on 1.4.1, my question is: By playing on the Vita i can play the DLC's? because they are added by updates.

No, the DLC trophies are exclusive to the PS4 version. The ability to import your cloud save from the PS3/Vita versions of the game was also removed, so if you've been playing those versions then you'll need to start over on PS4 for the DLC trophies.

The Vita version has not been updated in years. It was abandoned. The current vita version is still fully platinumable and yes you can get the NPC trophy, you just have to get all the NPC's that are available on the vita version, and obviously not any of the new ones that do not exist.

If you would like to play with another person, there is an (outdated) multiplayer version available here!

Just keep in mind that this multiplayer version does lack saving functionality, and a few changes from more recent updates.

The pause menu can be brought up by holding the pause button, where there will be an option to save. Alternatively, on the web player version above, you can click the pause button to the right of the game.

Terraria 1.4, Journey's End, releases on September 30 for Xbox and PlayStation. After a long wait, gamers will finally be able to play the 1.4 update on their consoles. The Nintendo Switch version of the update is still being worked on and currently has no concrete release date.

Players have been asking about cross-platform Terraria since the release of 1.4 for PC back in 2020. Terraria is not currently cross-platform. According to Re-Logic, cross-platform and cross-progression is something they will start working on once all versions of the game have reached update parity. That means console versions of Terraria on PlayStation and Xbox will need to hit 1.4 before crossplay becomes possible.

With the news that Terraria 1.4 Journey's End will be available on consoles from September 30, the multiple versions of Terraria are moving closer to update parity. This means cross-play might be on the horizon soon. We may have to wait for the update to come the Nintendo Switch, which is still a little while away.

This is down to a transition of developers working on Terraria Console Edition. The console version up until version 1.3 was handled by 505 Studios, and elements were ported from PC to console by Pipeworks Studios. After some development issues, the project was later handed over to DR Studios, the same team that worked on Terraria Mobile.

At the end of last year, Re-Logic announced in their November State of the Game that they hoped there might be an "end of year gift" in the form of an Alpha version of Terraria 1.4, essentially an early developer build of the game.

It's now June and there is yet to be any news about a playable console version of Terraria, although videos released by DR Studios suggest there is at least a basic version of the Journey's End update that works on Xbox. Nothing has been confirmed about a playable Beta for 1.4 on consoles.

In those same State of the Game updates, Re-Logic has consistently stated that they'd like to see Terraria 1.4 release simultaneously on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. However, with the Alpha version already live on Xbox, it's likely that the platform might be getting some early special treatment.

Historically, Re-Logic has included unique content for its console and mobile version of Terraria. For example, the console versions have unique armor sets, such as the Dragon Armor, Spectral Armor, and Titan Armor. These are just Vanity items. They first appeared many years ago, including on the defunct 3DS version of the game.

TShock requires the mono-complete package. We recommend the absolute latest versions of Mono, following the instructions from the official Xamarin/Microsoft website, not the packages shipped with your linux distribution. On macOS, we highly suggest installing Mono with Homebrew (brew install mono).

2D sandbox adventure Terraria just hit another incredible sales milestone. As of this month, the title has crossed 30 million in sales across all platforms. To celebrate, developer Re-Logic launched a brand-new update for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The patch, Update 1.3.5, is already live on both platforms.
