As of January 2011, TEA no longer mails paper certificates. The virtual certificate is considered to be the official record of educator certification in Texas that satisfies the Texas Education Code, 21.053(a). All current, expired and inactive certificates will be displayed. View official certification records for Texas educators using the link below. First and last names must be entered to locate an educator's certificate. The name must match what is in the TEA database. Current certificates, and any certificate history if applicable, is available by clicking the link at the top of the certificate.

TEA does not provide individually-prepared letters of professional standing, program detail, information or verification of Texas educator's certification status. If your state provides a PDF fillable form to verify your certificate, you may submit it through our help desk.

To meet our mission the NJDOE requires committed educators to ensure students achieve postsecondary success. This webpage provides information on how to obtain New Jersey certification for teachers, school leaders, educational services personnel, career and technical educators and substitutes.

The New Jersey Department of Education will work as expeditiously as possible with the State Board of Education to implement the requirements set forth in P.L. 2023, c. 180. A teacher candidate who meets all other eligibility requirements to receive an alternative certificate of eligibility, except for the requirement to achieve a minimum score on a Commissioner of Education-approved test of basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills, may be issued a certificate. As such, school districts will be permitted to hire individuals when additional procedures are put in place. We look forward to sharing additional information when available.

The Virginia Department of Education is committed to ensuring every classroom has a knowledgeable, engaged, and supported teacher. The Office of Teacher Education and the Office of Licensure and School Leadership work together to ensure high-quality, licensed teachers are available to all students in the Commonwealth.

**If all of the requirements for a Professional certificate with the exception of the two year of teaching experience and the content area exam have been met, an applicant may apply for a Second Initial certificate.

If you wish to teach special education to children with disabilities, you must, in addition to meeting other requirements for teacher certification, secure an endorsement based upon completion of an approved teacher training program in special education.

If you wish to teach preschool children with special needs and are not eligible for an endorsement in preschool special education, you must have completed at least six (6) semester hours in early childhood special education in addition to holding a teaching certificate with a special education endorsement. (This does not constitute an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education.)

If you wish to teach gifted children, you must, in addition to meeting requirements for teacher certification, have completed at least six (6) semester hours in gifted education. (This does not constitute an endorsement.)

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama in December 2015. As the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), this law prioritizes excellence and equity for all students and educators. The law eliminates the requirements for "highly qualified teacher" and focuses instead on appropriately certified teachers.

Beginning October 2016, RIDE will no longer determine a teacher's highly qualified status and will eliminate the highly qualified designation on all certificates and public portals. Educators will be able to view historical information in their eCert accounts. All Rhode Island teachers must continue to meet RI state qualifications and certification criteria.

Complete applications are processed more quickly than incomplete applications. Application processing takes fourteen to sixteen weeks.

There are four ways of processing Rhode Island certificate applications. Details for first issuance, renewal, progression, and reinstatement are below.

Applicants who do not receive their requested certificate are issued a status form via MyeCert on RIDEmap explaining requirements that were not met, and provided a ninety day window to meet requirements communicated without incurring new fees. Rhode Island General Laws 28-5.1-14 as amended by 2020 PL, ch. 071 enacted 7/22/2020 Fair Chance prohibits a state agency from disqualifying a license/registration/permit applicant from occupation, trade, vocation, profession and business licensing, solely or in part, based upon a criminal conviction absent a determination that the conviction substantially relates to the occupation for which the applicant applied. The Fair Chance disqualification prohibition is broad in that it applies to persons and any occupation, trade, vocation, profession, or business for which an occupational license, permit, certificate, or registration is required. See RIGL 28-5.1-14(d). Fair Chance also requires annual reporting by state agencies with respect to every occupational license, permit, or certificate under their jurisdiction. See RIGL 28-5.1-14(l)

Finally, to get your teaching certificate in Texas, you'll need to complete a fingerprint check for $49 (you can make the initial payment through your online application portal). The Texas Education Agency will evaluate any criminal history on a case-by-case basis. (2)

The SD Educator Portal is an enhanced educator certification and information system released on March 3, 2023.All certification records from the prior system remain accessible through SD Educator Portal. With increased functionality, the new system allows educators to: apply for certification make requests for certificate changes and updates upload documents to storage for future use request a copy of a current certificate submit fee payments update contact information monitor the status of their requests and applications communicate with certification officers

To be certified to teach an assignment or act as an administrator or education specialist, certified educators must have the appropriate endorsement that meets state certification. An educator must request an endorsement be added to a certificate. This will not be automatically added after passing the state-designated test or completing the requirements of the endorsement.

Meet the minimum requirements set by Idaho Code 33-1202. You must also complete a state approved teacher preparation program. The State Board of Education may refuse to issue or authorize a certificate to any applicant for such reason as would have constituted grounds for revoking a certificate.

The Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) offers two alternative certification program for students with a non-education bachelor's degree or higher. Education curriculum and field experiences are combined in an accelerated, three-semester program that leads to Florida's Professional teaching certificate.

Like all of the certificates, the Graduate Teacher Certificate requires you to complete a series of requirements at your own pace. If you need clarification of the requirements, want us observe your teaching or review your student feedback, or if you have any other questions, contact CITL. You are encouraged to start working on the certificate as soon as possible in your graduate career. However, there is no time limit for completion of the requirements.

All certificate requirements must be documented using the Graduate Teacher Certificate Application, in consultation with a faculty member and/or your CITL consultant. The application contains more details for completing the certificate. The completed application must be submitted to CITL for review by your CITL consultant. The submission deadline is April 15.

Individuals who have achieved this certification may publicize their status with their personalized certificate and badge on their resume, portfolio, website, and more. Always label your status with the achieved level: Google Certified Educator Level 1 or Google Certified Educator Level 2. These certifications are valid for 36 months.

Description: Understand concepts of appropriate assessment, expected educational outcomes, the teacher's responsibility in assessment and how young children develop and learn. Students will understand how appropriate assessments can measure and evaluate child growth and development and how the use of assessment tools can influence decisions in early childhood education with an emphasis on appropriate guidance techniques and strategies.
