Android's kernel is based on the Linux kernel's long-term support (LTS) branches. As of 2023[update], Android uses versions 4.14, 4.19, 5.4, 5.10 or 5.15 of the Linux kernel (and since modified Linux kernels are used, kernels are often named like android13-5.15 or android-4.19-stable).[189] The actual kernel depends on the individual device.[190]

The device codename is usually not visible to the end user, but is important for determining compatibility with modified Android versions. It is sometimes also mentioned in articles discussing a device, because it allows to distinguish different hardware variants of a device, even if the manufacturer offers them under the same name. The device codename is available to running applications under android.os.Build.DEVICE.[239]

As the advice properly says, the android command is deprecated. You need to use avdmanager and also specify the exact string that appears on your available packages as the package argument. In your case:

Considering the SDK is installed under /Users//Library/Android/sdk folder which is the Android Studio preferred SDK location, but it works fine under /usr/local/share/android-sdk as well, which is a location pretty much used on CI mostly.

Hi, I have windows app working with google drive working fine. Recently I bought the android app, but can not find any way how to synchronize a folder from android file system with the vault. I can open only single files and only from the app it self or copy a file / folder to android fs. But no real sharing and most importantly way to move/copy to the vault.

I have the same trouble. I keep checking to see if I have done something wrong. Evernote Reminders on my Android 11, OnePlus 8 were consistent and reliable, I believe up until the big update. Since then I do not get reminders on my android device at all. I have checked settings and they are enabled. Is this issue posted elsewhere and being looked into?

the google play store allows developers to stagger role outs. i'd have thought the apple store has something similar. the question is, why does evernote use the staggered release for android and the web but not for iOS?

The key change to enable this is here. Instead of reading from the venerable /system/etc/security/cacerts directory, this new approach reads certificates from /apex/com.android.conscrypt/cacerts, when it exists.

That root /apex path is where Android Pony EXpress (APEX) containers are mounted. These APEX modules are independently updatable system components, delivered as signed & immutable containers. In this case, the certificates form part of Android's com.android.conscrypt module - its core TLS/SSL library delivered as an independently updatable system module. 17dc91bb1f
