What's going on? I'm just using bluetooth, from switch to switch. I don't need cloud support or Nintendo infrastructure. How does Nintendo think I'm cheating them, that they block this ability? I should be able to have a few game saves without more than two nintendo accounts.

I had exactly the same issue with my Switch OLED. I had an original switch that had my daughters user profiles, that do not have Nintendo accounts. I cannot get these user profiles over to the OLED. This is still unresolved.

The game save files on the third and fourth switch users aren't important enough to me to warrant making new email accounts. Maybe my annoyance toward making multple junk email accounts is outdated, or not really warranted, but that's where I'm at.

@WoomyNNYes Sounds like a good excuse to start over ? If the users on their new Switch are going to be linked to a Nintendo account, they could also link the users on your old Switch to their new accounts if they were desperate for those saves.

@SwitchForce Before this thread, did you know you cant' transfer Switch-user-game-saves if they aren't linked to a Nintendo account? I figured I could, because I have both consoles & I'm just using bluetooth. Makes me wonder if it's always been like that with the Switch.

Also, you can't transfer games via microSD & PC. I thought I could copy my Nintendo folder(games, screenshots, video clips) to PC, then reformat the card with the new switch, then copy the Nintendo folder back onto the microSD card. You could with the 3DS. Anyway, the only thing you can carry over to the new Switch is the Album folder of screenshots & clips. That worked.

Cloud saves will be turned on automatically for all games on your Nintendo Switch, however, they won't back up unless you play the game and save after cloud saves have been activated. You can also back these up manually.

Having a Nintendo Switch Online subscription and cloud saves turned on also means you can log onto a Switch that isn't your own with your Nintendo Account and access all of your digital purchases and redownload your saved data. Simply create a new profile on the other Switch and link your Nintendo Account to it. This will not disrupt your main account.

Nintendo will hold onto your Cloud Saves for six months after your subscription expires. They will be deleted if you don't reinstate your subscription within those six months. Don't worry - your local saves will be fine!

My issue is this: After toggling the switch and I leave the screen that has the switch button, maybe by pressing the back button or navigating to another screen (still within the same session). By the time I launch the screen with the switch again, its status automatically turns to FALSE (the default status), the same thing happens if my Switch value is set to default TRUE in my block properties, the switch status automatically turns to TRUE too.

There will never be cross-saves between PC and consoles, for D3 at least. That is a fact. Get over it. D3 particulary on Switch is an utter cheatfest, hacked items and such are a real plague. PC version does not need to be polluted with that.

I just got a new switch console, trying to transfer the data to new console told me it was not supported. I assumed it would be kept server side. On booting the game on the new console it appears to start from the beginning with fresh data. Cloud saves are not supported either.

I would like to reiterate that this is the only way to back up your Switch save data. Unlike with the PS4, you cannot put your data on a thumb drive. Unlike with the Xbox One, your data will not sync with the cloud automatically. And even though the Switch has a microSD card port, you can't transfer any save data to it. To my knowledge, Nintendo has no plans to implement new save-backup features anytime soon. To further complicate matters, not every Switch game offers this functionality, meaning you can't back up those saves by any means.
