The freebie swag, sometimes also spelled schwag, dates back to the 1960s and was used to describe promotional items. According to our files, early swag was everything from promotional records sent to radio stations to free slippers for airline passengers. In short order, this particular meaning of swag broadened and soon referred to anything given to an attendee of an event (such as a conference) as a promotional stunt.

This swag didn't gain much use until the 1990s, but it also didn't appear out of thin air. The newer meanings were based on an older, more established meaning that referred to goods acquired by unlawful means:

It's likely that the "loot" sense of swag came into English from thieves' cant. We have 17th-century evidence of a number of phrases from the underworld that use this sense of swag, like swag-shop (a shop selling goods) and rum swag (full of rich goods). Modern swag, however, isn't stolen but given freely. We've entered this "promotional items" sense of swag into our Unabridged Dictionary.

After the container is started, we'll watch the logs with docker logs swag -f. After some initial initialization, we will see the validation steps. After all the steps, it should print Server ready in the logs.

We'll need to make sure that we are using a dns provider that is supported by this image. Currently the following dns plugins are supported: cloudflare, cloudxns, digitalocean, dnsimple, dnsmadeeasy, google, luadns, nsone, ovh, rfc2136, route53, and many others (see the docker-swag repo for an up to date list). Your dns provider by default is the provider of your domain name and if they are not supported, it is very easy to switch to a different dns provider. Cloudflare is recommended due to being free and reliable. To switch to Cloudflare, you can register for a free account and follow their steps to point the nameservers to Cloudflare. The rest of the instructions assume that we are using the cloudflare dns plugin.

After the container is started, we'll watch the logs with docker logs swag -f. After some init steps, we'll notice that the container will give an error during validation due to wrong credentials. That's because we didn't enter the correct credentials for the Cloudflare API yet. We can browse to the location /config/dns-conf which is mapped from the host location (according to above settings) /home/aptalca/appdata/swag/dns-conf/ and edit the correct ini file for our dns provider. For Cloudflare, we'll enter our API token. The API token can be created by going to My Profile->API Tokens and creating a token with the Edit DNS permission on the DNS zones for which you wish to request certificates. In the cloudflare.ini comment out the dns_cloudflare_email and dns_cloudflare_api_key values, then uncomment dns_cloudflare_api_token and add your API token against it.

Once we enter the credentials into the ini file, we'll restart the docker container via docker restart swag and again watch the logs. After successful validation, we should see the notice Server ready and our webserver should be up and accessible at -test.com.

After the container is started, we'll watch the logs with docker logs swag -f. We'll see some initialization and then we will see the validation steps. After all the steps, it should print Server ready in the logs.

If you followed the above directions to set it up for the first time, you only need to add the line 'trusted_proxies' => ['swag'],, otherwise nextcloud 16+ shows a warning about incorrect reverse proxy settings. By default, HSTS is disabled in SWAG config, because it is a bit of a sledgehammer that prevents loading of any http assets on the entire domain. You can enable it in SWAG's ssl.conf.

If we want to password protect our new homepage, we can run the following on the host command line to create a new .htpasswd file: docker exec -it swag htpasswd -c /config/nginx/.htpasswd anyusername. After which, we can activate authentication by editing the heimdall.subfolder.conf file to uncomment the relevant lines so it reads:

I don't see any network declarations on your swag compose, so it would be on it's own swag-default network, likewise if your other services were created the same way they will all be on their own network. In order to place them on the same network you have to add a network declaration to them or build them all in one stack.

Have you either copied the config files to the enabled folder or made a symlink in that folder pointing to the edited file? Only things in the enabled folder are hosted, and a swag restart is required after making the changes in order for it to see them.

I think I may have been mistaken on that. I was thinking straight up nginx or apache. Swag just requires renaming or copying them to remove the .sample from the end to activate them. It has been years since I looked at swag and had forgotten about that change. So I guess the question is, did you rename it to remove the .sample?

There are guides posted in the forum on how to do all of this internet domain access with swag. Look in the guides section. If you don't want to use swag, I posted nginx proxy manager instructions here:

Each of these are problematic although for different reasons. But I think if implemented with caution and care, we can move back to a decentralized model for how we distribute and send official Fedora swag across the world.

The Mindshare Committee would process swag shipment requests, as they have done historically. Swag shipments are prioritized for sponsored Fedora Ambassadors and Advocates. What changes in this approach is that members of the Mindshare Committee would be given direct access to the swag storefront, where they could create carts of swag and send it to others at a given address.

The swags given out by Google cloud should be improved .As always mugs, water bottle, kettle like stuff....If would be better if anything related to electronic gadgets which would be very much useful for students like us.. Last time the the arcade point redeem with the swag was very pathetic as if all badges where completed in that arcade program he could redeem a single swag ...if one badge less then the standard of swag we all saw that (the black one). Yesterday I received my t shirt of the hard earned 6 months arcade points. Very sad to say that the graphic work on this is very cheap, with the firs delegate wash the graphics started coming off...Along with this I would like to say that the t shirt that I got on the Facilitator program last year is still in excellent condition .Also on including Facilitator Program 2023 with this Arcade cant be encouraged. BUT always thanks to @google_cloud @Lauren_vdv @carrie @emily927 for providing and helping students .

We all know that most of us are here because of the swags and the skills we get, but the most the first mentioned hook up many here....If no swags were given by google cloud then majority would be not reading my post here....NO you wouldn't be here ....

For International Orders please email us the complete shipping address you would like to get the item shipped to @ sales@swagoffroad.com. Be sure to include any special notes that are relevant for international shipping.

I'm struggling with gin-swagger to set OpenAPI documentation on several APIs written in gin. While I installed the package in the project route via go install github.com/swaggo/swag/cmd/swag@latest I am not able to run the swag init!

Thats the screen that defaults for your domain once swag is setup. Did you setup a subdomain for emby? Did you edit the emby.subdomain.conf.sample file in SWAG and rename the file to emby.subdomain.conf with any edits that may be required?

So "yourhostname".hopto.org will show you the swag screen. When you type in emby."yourhostname".hopto.org (or whatever your subdomain is) it still takes you to the swag screen? When you look in the SWAG log did it issue an ssl certificate for emby?

Step 6. Review period and approval. The Trademark Program will review the proposed designs and information provided in the online Form and either contact the requestor with questions or provide approval to the email provided in the online Form. If approved, an approval email from trademark_swag@harvard.edu will be sent to the requestor, with copies to the administrator(s) who approved the design and to the licensed vendor that will be making the SWAG.

At this point, the SWAG and letsencrypt images are 100% compatible and we plan to keep SWAG backwards compatible as long as we can. The main change is to the docker image name, which was linuxserver/letsencrypt for the old image and is linuxserver/swag for the new.

If you have any containers that reference the old letsencrypt container by name, you'll also have to change those references to reflect the new container name swag. One prominent known case is that Nextcloud's config.php references the reverse proxy container by name in its trusted_proxies directive, which would have to be updated to swag.

It hasn't even been a full week since the last day of the three-day virtual eBay Open.

It's my understanding that all U.S. participants who were among the first 3,000 people to submit their "survey" responses after each day's activities -- will receive the "swag" for that day. (Those surveys came to the eBay Open participants in their e-mail, not as an eBay message.)

I will admit I double check my condo's mailbox area for boxes addressed to me, but I'm trying to exercise patience. I will also admit that I'm beginning to compile a small wish list for how to spend my $25.00 eBay gift card, the "swag" for people who are among those first 3,000 people on all three days. 006ab0faaa
