Reels: Reels have their own tab on the app. Users navigate to the Reels page when they want to scroll through some entertaining TikTok-style videos. The Reels tab is not as discoverable as the Stories bar, but your reels content is more discoverable than your stories.

When you post a story, you can ask a question, make a poll, offer a discount, link to your landing page, and more. This interactivity makes stories invaluable for CTAs and collecting data. Your followers can also engage by jumping into your DMs.

The best time to post reels on Instagram also depends on the location, industry, and audience factors. However, you can kickstart the time optimization of reels by using the following average best times.

Yes, Instagram reels are public, meaning all IG users can view your reels even if they are not following you. If you want to publish private video content for your followers, create a story or publish videos to your feed.

I'm starting my first ever binge watch of Clone Wars...I'm following the recommended viewing order...my question is does Season 7 cover the bonus story reels (Crystal Crisis On Utapau and Bad Batch) along with the Dark Disciple and Son of Dathomir novels or do I need to read/watch those after Season 6 to fully appreciate Season 7

I have a reel that has been getting good engagement, and I like to check to see who is sharing it to their stories so that I can get an idea of which kinds of accounts are sharing which kinds of reels.

As per the recent study by Hootsuite, they came to know that the Reels provide the most engagement as compared to other types of posts. In the above example, it is clearly visible that after uploading the reels, the follower count is increased by a good amount of percentage.

An Instagram Reel is a short-form, 9:16-style video that mimics TikTok. Most Reels are done in a particular fashion that follows viral trends, ranging from silly dances and skits to storytelling with viral sound bites. Or you can show behind-the-scenes content.

This is the main difference between Stories and Reels: the Story format is an ephemeralstatus pinned to your profile picture. The Story is a concept that allows you to tell thestory of your day using video, photo or a post, as much as you want for 24 hours.

As a creation, Reels are like posts and are meant to be discovered. That's why they canappear on the explore tab (public accounts only). Like a post too, they will remain visibleon your own Reel feed and your general Insta feed (to your followers only for privateaccount). You can also share your reels as a Story, which means that your reel will beaccessible as a Story, via your profile picture thumbnail.

Once you've mastered the benefits of Reels and Stories, you'll see that they arecomplementary and serve very different purposes. Moral of the story: consider Reels to getgrowth and Stories to deepen the relationship and get engagement.

Facebook and Instagram reels are great for discoverability and for growing your audience. Reels are automatically shared to a public feed, so millions of users have the potential to be served your content.

When things change that fast, you need to keep up if you want your content to perform, and right now, two content types are dominating major social platforms: reels and stories. Though reels and stories can have content and format crossover, they generally differ in audience and intent.

The easiest way to create snackable content is by producing larger content pieces first. Then, you can slice, dice, and stitch them together to create reels and stories. Here are some ideas for repurposed content:

You can share Instagram Stories either as a story or via email. However, they will only be visible for 24h. Instagram Reels are permanently accessible to users and can be easily shared with virtually anyone.

Hey there, friend, I am so excited to announce for the very first time, something that I have been thinking about doing for a long time that I finally have put together and it is called the IG wheels bootcamp starting the end of August, I'm going to do an entire month long bootcamp to help you create your Instagram reels. You're going to learn more over the next few episodes about why I think reels are definitely the best way to grow your following online. I also think they're probably one of the best and most creative outlets that's out there that can still serve your audience in a great way, right? We all know what Instagram reels are. They were sort of born out of tick tock, but I still think Instagram has a one up on tick tock, and you're gonna learn more about that in the coming episodes. But if you want to check out if you're somebody who's like, oh, my gosh, I don't even know what reels to make, how to make them. What are some of the best ways to do it, this four week boot camp with me, where I will teach you every single thing you need to know is for you. And it's only 150 bucks, it's only 150 bucks for you to get an entire month of training, including 21 reels with tutorials that will teach you how to make those reels. I'm telling you, you're not going to find anything like this. And this is from somebody who has grown to accounts my personal account has over 40,000 followers now probably husband's has over 100,000 followers. And that did not happen until Instagram reels. So I want you to go to IG reels boot camp.com Sign up today before it fills up because this will fill up not even publicly going to be announcing this until August 8. So if you're hearing this right now sign up now before the time slots fill up. And now on to the episode. So the reason why I'm talking about this on creativity Tuesday is because I personally have found this outlet of creating on Instagram reels to be such a beautiful replacement of the storytelling platform I got used to using in theatre and performing and what's cool about it, in my opinion is

that there's limitless tools. Now with tick tock of course, there's limitless tools there to create. And what I love about tick tock is that really there's no limitation for your audience, like you're not going to lose followers, if you make make a bunch of TiC TOCs that kind of suck, right? People who follow you on tick tock are just trying to consume as much content as possible, where people who follow you on Instagram are much more committed to you as a creator, they're much more committed to what are you going to create next, every time I open my my feed, the algorithm is going to push your content to me if I'm a devout follower, that sounds kind of creepy. But what I love about Instagram is that the people who are engaging and following me are following me for me not necessarily just for my content. So one of the things that I wanted to talk about is why Instagram reels really matter. And for so many people who are sort of annoyed, they feel like well, I really liked when Instagram was a photo sharing platform, Instagram meals, you can still share photos. And that's what I love about it that you can do so many things. If you liked when Instagram was a photo sharing platform, then continue to use reels to share your photos. Because here's the thing 91% This is a real statistics from Instagram 91% of active Instagram users are watching those videos every week. So if you're not making videos on Instagram, you're missing out on 91% of active users on Instagram. So well, you know, they just announced last week on Instagram that they're going to be changing all video platforms. So like any Instagram video is going to be considered a real it's going to be in that Instagram reels feed. You know, if you haven't paid attention, you can change from anywhere between 15 3060 seconds and now even 92nd videos. Well, that's going to change to the reels being even longer for people to create longer form content, but it will always show up in reals. reals isn't man. And if you're not comfortable getting into reals and figuring out how to make it work for you, then you should start getting comfortable. And that's why I'm launching this bootcamp coming up if you heard it at the top of the show. So I want to just explain how I think that some of the most successful reels I've made have really taken off. And and the reason why I think a lot of people are kind of missing the mark when it comes to Instagram reels is because they're they're missing out on this one element and that is telling a story, then you might not consider yourself a storyteller, but we all have read stories. And there's really three essential parts to any story, a beginning, a middle and an end. Right that's all a story has to be. What I love about Instagram reels is you can always use any of the elements of making a real to tell that story. So if you're somebody like me who's been trained as an actor, or you'd like to interpret a script or interpret dialogue, you can use already existing content reels audio even that's already been made to tell the story for your specific audience. But if you're somebody who likes to tell a story that's more off the cuff, you can create your own audio, you can do your own storytelling. But there's also these elements that I think most people miss out on, which is the captions can be part of what completes the story, the images can be part of what completes the story. And so if you can find ways to tell a story in your content using any or all of the elements, you're going to find your wheels take off. For instance, my most popular Instagram reels on my personal account is me wearing a suit, but I'm out in a cabin in the woods. So the story here, and if you watch that reel, and I'll put a link to it in the show notes, you'll see I walk into frame. So there's a beginning I'm coming from someplace, the middle is me talking about how I look. And the end is me giving a hip bump, right, so there's three levels to the action in there. The other element of that, that I think really made that reels pop is that I'm using a female voice and not just a female voice, but a very popular female voice, who's known for talking about her cute outfits. So the irony of a grown man in a suit looking sharp in the woods with a moustache sounding like this fashion blogger, right. So there's an element of surprise, there's storytelling, that's all it has to be right. And then of course, giving a call to action, maybe having people read the caption, or you could say, you know, if you wanted to the beginning, could be just a simple hook, you're gonna want to watch to the end for this reason, or don't miss out.
