This is normal stuff for Jake Elliott, and yet it's always special when he has the kind of day he had on Sunday to open the 2023 regular season. In a driving rain and with just enough wind to consider, Elliott drilled field goals of 32 yards, 56 yards, 51 yards, and 48 yards in the 25-20 win over New England.

Proud music of the storm!

 Blast that careers so free, whistling across the prairies!

 Strong hum of forest tree-tops! Wind of the mountains!

 Blending, with Nature's rhythmus, all the tongues of nations;

 You undertone of rivers, roar of pouring cataracts;

 Trooping tumultuous, filling the midnight late, bending me powerless,

 Entering my lonesome slumber-chamber--Why have you seiz'd me?

We exchanged glances. We expected storms. Jake and I hiked through the Sierra Nevada on the John Muir Trail in 2015 before we knew each other. We expected storms but not for another week or two. Plus we had been booking it for three weeks just to get to that spot. We had been keeping up with hikers far faster and far stronger. We were tired and ready for a day off.

Jake woke me at 6 in the morning as pink crept into the horizon. It was time to get up. The wind was already picking up over Tinker Knob. Another ridge beyond found us bracing against our trekking poles.

Jake stopped me to put on more layers and we resumed the climb. We slipped over rocks and hoped we could make it to the trailhead before our resolve dissolved. We skidded past other hikers. We slid in ever accumulating snow, seeking out the trail as it disappeared before our eyes.

Finally we made it to the trailhead. Looking for a hitch, we saw a section hiker getting into a Jeep. Jake dashed over to ask for a ride. The driver warned us that his Jeep was a convertible but we were just happy to be on the move. Less than an hour later we were washing the dirt off our feet and planning our town meals.

Richard led Muskegon with 18 goals and 35 points in 30 games this season. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound forward was the Buffalo Sabres sixth-round pick (170th overall) last summer and is currently tied for ninth in the USHL in goals.

Richard skated in 86 career games with Muskegon over the past two years and gives Tri-City an experienced and potent threat on the wing. The Connecticut commit has five points (2-3-5) over his last four games and has already tied his goal total from 56 games last season.

Tri-City (16-14-1-3) is currently fifth in the Western Conference with 36 points, just three behind Sioux City. The Storm have points in seven of their last 10 (5-3-1-1) and have also won four straight and six of seven overall against Omaha this season.

Because we buy into this notion that if God was with us, we would have no storm that if God were really with us, we would be happy that if God were really with us, everything would go smoothly that if God were really on our side, we would have no family problems If God were really with us, our bills would be paid how could God be with us and us being foreclosured?

Keep in mind that you are a fighter and not a quitter I want you to keep fighting Keep fighting through those storms Are you gonna let some storms destroy your mindset? Are you gonna lose focus of your dreams, goals, and destination?

As a young teenager, Jake Mazur loved sports and bass fishing. In 1994, Jake and his father, a former City Council member, were fishing on Lake Fork when a storm unexpectedly arose. Before returning to shore, Jake was struck and killed by lightning. Following this unfortunate accident, Mayor Harold Bowden and the City Council obtained 8.5 acres and named the park "Jake's Place" to honor and remember Jake.

Hurricane Jake was the strongest tropical in recorded history, and the 12th named storm of the hyperactive 2012 Atlantic hurricane season. Forming near the Cape Verde islands as Tropical Depression Twelve, the depression intensified rapidly into Tropical Storm Jake. Originally forcast to be absorbed by active Category 4 Hurricane Julian, Jake's size expanded extraordinarily, continuing to intensify into a Category 5 hurricane after absorbing Hurricane Julian near Jamaica. With waters of over 95 degrees Fehreinheit, Jake became the largest and strongest tropical cyclone in world history, rapidly deepening and intensifying into a 400 mph storm with a peak pressure of 796 mbars. Jake also became the costliest and deadliest hurricane in world history, striking over 45 of the 50 states of America, and continuing to churn into Canada and Iceland.

Geostorm is a 2017 American science-fiction disaster film directed, cowritten, and coproduced by Dean Devlin (in his feature directorial debut). The film stars Gerard Butler, Jim Sturgess, Abbie Cornish, Ed Harris, and Andy Garca. It follows a satellite designer who tries to save the world from a storm of epic proportions caused by malfunctioning climate-controlling satellites.[6][7]

Three years later, a UN team stationed in the Registan Desert discovers a frozen village. Makmoud Habib, an Indian engineer working on the International Climate Space Station (ICSS), copies data from the satellite responsible for Afghanistan onto a hard drive before being killed in a supposed accident.

Jake arrives at the ICSS to examine the malfunctioning satellites, which were damaged and their data erased. He works with station commander Ute Fassbinder and her crew, consisting of engineer Eni Adisa, systems specialist Duncan Taylor, technician Al Hernandez, and security officer Ray Dussette. They recover the hard drive but hide it from the crew, suspecting a traitor. Examining the data, they discover that a virus has been introduced, causing the malfunctions and wiping out the login access of key senior people to the satellite.

Back on Earth, Cheng Long discovers that he and Max have lost login access and warns Max of a global cataclysm known as a "Geostorm" if the malfunction continues. Cheng is pursued to Washington, D.C. by a team of rogue government agents, who kill him in a traffic incident, but not before he says "Zeus."

Discovering Project Zeus simulates extreme weather patterns to create a Geostorm, Max enlists his girlfriend, Secret Service agent Sarah Wilson, to acquire the code. During this time, the ICSS team loses control of all operations as the virus initiates the self-destruct program.

During the DNC in Orlando, Florida, Max discovers Orlando is next to be targeted after a massive hailstorm hits Tokyo and an offshore cold snap takes out a portion of Rio de Janeiro. Max requests Dekkom's help, who instead tries to kill him, revealing himself as the saboteur.

Max informs Sarah, so they kidnap Palma to protect him from Dekkom's agents and secure the kill code. As they escape from the arena before a lightning storm destroys it, Max discloses their activities and Dekkom's treachery to Palma. After outsmarting Dekkom's mercenaries, the three arrest Dekkom and confront him about his plan to eliminate the other elected officials in America's line of succession, allowing him to dominate the world while eliminating America's enemies. Max and Sarah escort Palma to the Kennedy Space Center and transmit the code but learn that the self-destruct sequence cannot be stopped.

More disasters strike around the world (including tornadoes in Mumbai, a heat wave in Moscow, and a megatsunami in Dubai). Duncan is actually the traitor who masterminded Habib's death and created the storms on Dekkom's orders, and Jake confronts him.

Duncan, who receives a meager salary as a software engineer, is doing it for the money from Dekkom. Jake tells him that if he does not stop the Geostorm, Earth will be decimated, to no avail. Duncan is curious to see how the world would end.

Jake escapes in the ensuing confrontation, and Duncan accidentally ejects himself into space. As the crew evacuates the station, Jake and Ute stay behind to ensure the system's reboot, eliminating the virus and transferring satellite control to NASA, thus preventing the Geostorm at the last second.

As Dean Devlin explained climate change to his daughter Hannah, she asked why a machine could not be built to fix that. Devlin went on to imagine such a thing, and how it could be used for evil purposes. As he struggled to develop his script, he asked the help of Paul Guyot, specially to write the brother dynamics.[11] In 2013, Skydance Productions purchased the filming rights.[12] After Skydance's distributing partner Paramount Pictures put the project into turnaround, Geostorm was pitched and accepted by Warner Bros.[13] Pre-production began on July 7, 2014.[14] With an initial budget of $82 million,[15] principal photography began on October 20, 2014, in New Orleans, Louisiana,[16][17] and lasted through February 10, 2015.[17] Filming began on Loyola Avenue on the first day.[18] Some NASA scenes were filmed at a NASA Rocket Factory in New Orleans in November 2014 and January 2015.[19][20]

On October 16, 2017, Warner Bros. released a promotional video on its YouTube channel. In the video, a New York taxicab outfitted with hidden cameras drives onto a street apparently affected by an ice storm, much to the shock of its unwitting passengers.[21]

The film was originally set for release on March 25, 2016,[22] but in August 2014, Warner set this date for the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice instead.[23] On December 11, 2014, WB shifted its live-action animated film Mowgli to 2017 and gave its previous date from March 25, 2016, then October 21, 2016, to Geostorm.[24] In September 2015, the studio again moved back the film from October 21, 2016, to January 13, 2017.[25] In June 2016, the studio announced the release had been moved back from January 13, 2017, to October 20, 2017. The film had an IMAX 3D release.[26] e24fc04721
