Just curious because I've never met anyone else...EVER...that has played FPS's with legacy stick controls. I played a ton of Perfect Dark back in the day and that's just how I learned to aim, look and strafe with the N64's joystick and C buttons. Also, is there anyone that used to play Legacy and has made the switch to Default? How did it effect your game play? I've messed around with Default for small amounts of time, but I don't think there is any chance at this point (I'm 26) that I could learn a completely different aiming/moving system.
So, I only signed up for Reddit to make this one post. I searched for a couple hours trying to find out how to get the legacy stick control option on fortnite, only to find out that it really doesn't exist. There were a few posts from about a year ago with basically no traction. I know, I know, people think we are weird, but we learned FPS from N64 bond 20 years and we've never adjusted out of that way of using the controller and to be honest it would take a massive amount of time to use normal controls now-a-days. I would agree, it is like telling a right-handed person to now be left-handed. I really don't see how it could be that hard of a setting to create, seeing how fortnite already gives you about a million ways to adjust your settings, wouldn't this be a common sense additional one... The only other game I've ever come across that didn't have the legacy stick option was the Fallout series, which I still really want to play. I actually bought Fallout 4 and then returned it because I *couldn't* play it. I don't know what percentage of the FPS community this blocks from playing fortnite, it's probably less than 25%, but I'd bet it's easily 5-15%...

I believe every upgrade and ship unlock should be legacy wide (of course it means so would the Daily and Weekly missions). Also, this way players could choose which faction they would like to play Starfighter with in case either their Republic or Imperial guild has more members online at that given moment or organizes a guild run.
I wouldn't complain if they did this, but it also only takes me about a week to master a ship. I don't think it's an absolutely critical problem, and if the ships were made legacy-wide, it would take out a lot of that feeling of progression.
Rather than being legacy wide I think it would be good to have a legacy ship mastery bonus. So once you master a every character in your legacy will automatically get the mastery req bonus for that ship although still have to buy/upgrade components. This will give a legacy wide reward for mastering a ship without meaning earning req will become pointless on alts (they'd have nothing to spend it on except for components you have no interest in using if mastering a component unlocks all of its upgrades legacy wide).
Second, how would you be able to account for cross-faction legacy? The ships are the same, sure, but you've got mastery achievements on both sides. So it doesn't make that much sense that if you master a Flashfire, you get the same mastery for the Sting.
I think, given the extraordinary time to level a hangar of ships, that there's no great reason to NOT have them bound to legacy from a game perspective. I think there's a technical limitation at work here, and the fact that it shipped like that means it will never be addressed or changed in any way. I mean, if you get hangars on 8 rep characters, how do you merge them? It's possible but not intuitive.
newcomer here. i just got my first car, and it just so happens to be a 99 Legacy with an EJ22. (to be honest i haven't gotten my license yet, gonna learn to drive stick before i get that, give it a couple of weeks.) i've been driving it for the past couple of days. everything seems to be in good condition, other than an oil leak originating from the bottom of the engine leaking onto the axle. i absolutely love the car, it drives fantastically, has decent power, and it was cheap. the engine has 148K miles on it, but the head gaskets, valve cover gaskets, and other gaskets were replaced about 5K miles ago. the clutch is in good condition, the catch point is somewhere around 1/3 of the way down. there are some rattles when the engine is revved over 4K, but i'm assuming it comes with age. (please correct me if needed on that.)
