I, like most of you, am completely dumbfounded as to why Brave, the champion of privacy would give us the two worst possible options for images and videos, much like @lorewright, I just set my launchpage in Brave to startpage.com as a temporry fix while Brave gets their shi* together, it offers all Brave use to offer in one single page without having to go to the darkside for images and videos

anyone else using startpage and seeing a bunch of ads that precede the actual search results? I have never seen this before and havent changed anything in my settings. I run startpage in two different browsers and one shows ads and the other doesnt. (startpage were recently bought by some company)

Thanks for your help but I've tried all that. It just started yesterday and if I re-fresh several times the startpage search engine comes back. It doesn't seem to be the add ons or extensions. As I said, it doesn't happen in Internet explorer. Thanks again.

I own a macbook pro and i changed my homepage from www.apple.com/startpage to www.apple.com/uk/startpage because I thought it would take me to a British version of the page, clearly I was wrong and I was redirected to the Uk apple.com page.

When I got my new ASUS netbook, I could click on the Firefox icon on the left margin and I got the Mozilla Firefox startpage and could type in any website I wanted.Now I get the Ubuntu startpage instead. I really want the Firefox startpage. How do I get it?

It's ironical how I use startpage everyday that I open my browser and yet I hardly go back to adding new features. I would like to defend myself at this point by pointing out that startpage is pretty stable as it is and even without new features, it works pretty solid.

So few days ago I was scrolling through r/unixporn and came across a post of a startpage. It looked pretty so I decided to look into it. I absolutely loved the way it looked. I was one step away from replacing my current startpage with that one, actually two steps. I like startpage quite a lot but tilde is worth a shot. Had it not been my lack of time to try out new things, I would totally like to take tilde for a spin.

Anyway, tilde actually introduced a pretty nice feature. It had some nice shortcut settings, for eg: if you type r/r/unixporn, it opens unixporn and typing g'ytmdl will search for ytmdl on GitHub. Kudos to the dev for actually coming up with such a nice idea. Anyhow, I thought, how about we have such a feature on startpage with a step ahead (we support configuration!).

When opening a browser, Vanadium for me, it shows you the homepage or startpage.

I want to add some bookmarks, maybe the weather, news, rss, etc. to this homepage/ startpage.

The answers given on my question are related "add bookmark to homescreen", that is not what I want. Anyone here could give me the way how to do? Thanks! ff782bc1db
