My first concert was at Wembley, "Born in the USA", but the lyrics of earlier albums were the ones that had already seized my heart, especially 4th July, Asbury Park (Sandy). I have experienced so many emotions and especially great happiness listening to his music. It has been impossible to find anyone who can match him live, although I have been to many concerts by other great artists. There is no-one so incredible live as THE BOSS!

These shows -- whenever they happen -- will mark the second and third times that the New Jersey icon (he is even about to have his own statewide day) brings his band through Philly this year. After illness derailed some concerts in other cities, Springsteen took the stage for a March concert at the neighboring Wells Fargo Center.

In late September, Springsteen and his group had to postpone a string of their 2023 tour dates so that the singer could continue treatment for peptic ulcer disease symptoms. The news came after Springsteen pushed back a couple of September shows, revealing he was getting treatment for the disease. Springsteen had previously canceled a handful of concerts in March due to an unspecified illness.

Bruce Springsteen has canceled plans to play a slate of arena concerts this month, saying the move was recommended by his medical team due to "symptoms of peptic ulcer disease." The musician pledged to make up the dates.

In all, the tour includes 66 concerts in 51 locations across the U.S. and Europe. People with tickets to the remaining shows in September will be informed about rescheduled dates when those decisions are finalized, the musician's site said. The venues ranged from Pittsburgh, Pa., to Washington, D.C.

Bruce Springsteen is facing an unfortunate setback that has thrown a wrench into his ongoing tour with the E Street Band. Recently announced health concerns have forced the rocker to postpone eight concerts scheduled for later this month.

This isn't the first time Springsteen and his band have had to alter his tour schedule due to health issues. In August, he postponed two concerts in Philadelphia due to an undisclosed illness. He also postponed a number of shows earlier this year in cities like Columbus, OH and Albany, NY.

Springsteen and the E Street Band launched their 2023 tour in February, in Tampa, FL. Since then, the rock musician and his backing group played dozens of concerts across the United States (in two legs, no less), as well as Canada and much of Europe. This trek, titled simply The Springsteen and E Street Band 2023 Tour, marks the first time the Grammy and Oscar winner has toured with the E Street Band in more than half a decade.

We live in a fragmented society. People feel isolated. Many feel invisible. Springsteen is aware of this, and he explicitly tries to combat it with his concerts. For a few hours, any trace of loneliness vanishes. A Springsteen show is a balm.

The band previously postponed two concerts scheduled for Aug. 16 and Aug. 18 in Philadelphia just hours before the start time after Springsteen had taken ill. Those shows were rescheduled for Aug. 21, 2024 and Aug. 23, 2024, with refund options available.

ProPublica pieced together information about the Springsteen concerts from campaign finance reports filed by the interest groups and the lawmakers, party invitations archived by the Sunlight Foundation and interviews with the handful of congressional offices and businesses that responded to any of our questions.

Added Norman Ornstein, a congressional expert at the American Enterprise Institute: "Scoring tickets for Springsteen is no easy task, so giving up a box for an event like that, which is almost like the Super Bowl of concerts, is worth something in and of itself."

The lawmakers who rented skyboxes directly from the Verizon Center and paid within the range included Cummings, Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa; and Reps. Edolphus "Ed" Towns, D-N.Y.; Darrell Issa, R-Calif.; John Carter, R-Texas; John Hall, D-N.Y.; Baron Hill, D-Ind.; and Leonard Lance, R-N.J. Harkin and Towns held fundraisers at both the spring and fall Springsteen concerts.

Springsteen and The E Street Band postponed two other concerts at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut and Nationwide Arena in Ohio due to illness before the the Albany concert. Those shows have also been rescheduled to September 16 and September 21, respectively.

They will finally get a chance to watch the rock icon perform at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg on Nov. 10. It's one of eight Canadian stops that are part of an additional 18 North American concerts announced on Tuesday, according to a news release.
