Navigate 360 video content with touch panning or by moving your phone, or slide your phone into a VR headset if you have one.

The experiences are organized as separate Spots that you can unlock as follows:

- Type a Spot ID (a 4-digit number similar to a pin code) into the app.

- Scan a Spot QR code (an image of a black-and-white matrix) with the app.

- Click a Spot Link in an email or web page to open the app and unlock the Spot.

If you don't have a Spot ID, a Spot QR code or a Spot Link, enter '0000' as Spot ID to view demo content.

All unlocked Spots are shown under My Spots section in the login screen for quick access. There you can also long-tap a Spot icon to download it for offline use (if allowed) or to remove the Spot from history.

The Android 11 update added a new media player control section to the quick settings menu when you swipe down from the top of the screen. My phone does not show the music control panel for spotify. It will work for other apps like google podcasts, but not for spotify. Is this feature simply not supported by spotify yet, or is there an issue causing it to break? I have not seen anyone else complaining of this issue in the past hour or so of searching the internet, so it must not be prevalent if it exists. It's driving me bonkers because now I have no way of controlling my music without opening the app, music controls also do not show on the lock screen as they are supposed to.

Edit: I did a content wipe and reset my phone, then restored from backup. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the spotify app multiple times, on the third time it fixed the issue. Hope this works for anyone else who is having the issue.

The feature you describe was on by default when I checked. I turned it off and restarted, then tried playing music to verify (no controls present on lock screen). Then I turned it back on and restarted the phone with the same result.

However, I noticed when I swiped on my lock screen in a different way, the voice recorder widget appeared (which was a separate issue or so I thought because it kept doing this randomly). From there I went into the Lock Screen > Widgets menu, and turned ON the "Music" widget. Previously I had assumed that this was for Samsung's internal music player app only, which could be why it was turned off. It also may have been turned off by default upon upgrading to Android 12.

Turning on this widget allowed the Spotify widget/notification with playback controls to appear on the lock screen when music is playing, and for a short time after pausing a track. I am not sure if this is correct functionality (which is why I am hesitant to mark this as a solution), but it seems to at least be a workaround for my issue.

How do I close or stop playback completely in the Spotify app? Not just pause it. Pausing it leaves it as an active media event and auto playback is triggered whenever a Bluetooth event happens involving a BT audio device. I want to control whether I want that to happen and closing the player in the app or stopping(not pausing) playback is not obvious in the UI.

I'm having the same issue, but only with Spotify. Other Android music players - YT Music, Amazon Music, Pandora - dont't continue to appear paused in my notification list after I swipe them closed or even restart the phone. How do I get Spotify to stay closed the same way every other music app using the Android system does?

I have an Essential phone model PH-1 with Android 10 with the same issue. There's no obvious way to turn off the music player. Just pause it. I have this issue where every time I start up my car with the app Android auto, it starts playing from Spotify, even though I don't have the app open on my phone. Can't figure out how to stop it -just pause.

As with most mobile apps, the devs could add a "X" button.

Removing the spotify window from the app switcher, the player/app wont closed complety. In my case the player disappears then but will pop up again when there is any bluetooth interaction (f.e. pressing play). Very annoying. This does not happen with other media apps.

Know how on an Android you drag down to clear/read notifications? The Spotify player is still there and there's no way to clear it. The app is not open in the app "drawer." I'm not playing music and would love for that pseudo-notification to go away when I'm done playing music!

Unrelated stuff here you can ignore this. AdGuard I prefer go into filters, press the plus button at the bottom left, and enable all the other lists like easy list, mobile, most privacy & all annoyances ones. Has nothing to do with Spotify but optional if you want to block more stuff in the browser. Also worth noting that when waking from sleep, the ads will resume, just quit Spotify and reopen it and it should go away. This is an AdGuard issue and will be fixed at some point in the future. You can also follow some of the guides in the issue threads of the blockthespot and you could use it to remove some of the ad spacers and the upgrade button but honestly who cares it works. And updating Spotify is just going to bring it back anyways. Also make sure to have AdGuard extension installed as well it can be found in the extensions tab in the preferences for AdGuard.

Step 8 (Optional): I would lock the Spotify version so it doesn't autoupdate. Not sure if this works but you can try right clicking on the spotify icon, press get info, then check the box labeled locked. Not sure if this works but is worth a shot.

It finds the hotspot and when I try to connect (after writing in password) "Connection to ***** has timed out, connection failed" It saves the connection and shows as saved but when tries to connect multiple times it says "wrong password" even it haven't been changed. After messing out the whole hotspot disappears from the wifi menu on my tablet, then it appears back when I reset network settings on iphone.

Restart the iPhone or iPad that provides Personal Hotspot and the other device that needs to connect to Personal Hotspot. Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS. On the iPhone or iPad that provides Personal Hotspot, go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap Reset Network Settings.

I have the same problem with my ipad pro 2018 hotspot. The interesting thing is, the hotspot works with another ipad wifi connecting to it and functioning, but an older android phone has the same problem as yours.
