The extension tracks your mouse's movements across the browser. Once the cursor hovers a link for 65 milliseconds, FasterChrome starts preloading the link. Apparently that 65 milliseconds is the magic point where you have a 50% chance of clicking the link or not. And this gives the extension about 300 extra milliseconds to preload the page. It only preloads the HTML to save bandwidth and resources.

By identifying common website building blocks and refusing to download them again, Web Boost speeds up page loading times. The extension doesn't require any configuration or any caching. Also, videos and images don't lose quality too.

Do note that the extension hasn't updated in a long time, but it works as advertised. The developers are now trying to build a standalone AMP Browser based on Chromium that not only accelerates pages but also reduces data consumption.

People find methods to block auto-playing videos on Chrome, and developers keep coming with new ways to circumvent the methods. It's like an eternal dance. For now, the easy solution seems to be installing McAfee Web Boost, which works better than any other extension I've seen. And don't go by the "zero videos stopped on this site" notice sometimes, it's doing the job without the counter getting added.

If Retention and Speed Booster is applied on the base of the extensions strip, it helps to stop glue running up the fiber and closing the lash fans, making Russian Volume lash application faster and easier.

To increase the speed of the treatment, apply Retention & Speed Booster with a micro brush on the strip of the extensions in the box or on the lash palette to prevent the lash fan from closing during the "fanning".

Give your browser a detox by cleaning up any unnecessary apps and extensions, clearing your cache and history, and removing any other data that you no longer need. Think of it like a spring cleaning for your browser. It can help free up memory and storage space, making your browser run more smoothly.

Websearch Navigator is one of the lesser known extensions on our list of apps. It speeds up not just Chrome but also YouTube, Github, and Amazon, among other widely-used apps. (You do need to explicitly enable permissions for these other apps)

Enter Turbo Download Manager. It is capable of not just speeding up Chrome downloads on slow connections but it also supports multi-threading, that is, it can handle multiple requests at once. Further, its internal interruption control can automatically resume paused or failed downloads on bad networks.

Ghostery is a privacy extension that doubles up as a productivity app by removing the clutter of irritating ads from web pages so you can focus on consuming the more valuable content instead. Its Enhanced Anti Tracking goes one step ahead of traditional ad-blockers and anonymizes your data to make sure your personal data remains private.

Just thought it was interesting, of course it's bigger, but it covers a decent range for a lot of stuff instead of carrying multiple lenses. The sigma and speed booster together basically covers all the native prime lenses and is faster-Oly 12mm, Panny 14mm, Oly 17mm, Panny 20mm, Panny 25mm, Oly 25mm. Throw an extension tube in there it can be a wide angle macro or take off the speed booster and put a standard adapter for more zoom and you get the 18-35 back at f1.8, a 36-70 equiv. Seems there's a lot of possibilities with this setup. So in a way it's with and w/out the speed booster it's like a 13-35mm f1.2-f1.8 lens. Would you pay US$1200 for a lens like that? Then maybe add one of the other F mount fast zoom lenses of your choice, 24-70 f2.8 maybe, which is like a 17-70mm f2-f2.8. Again, obviously it's not small but if you're not in a situation where you need one of the small primes a two lens setup like that is pretty drastic.

How are the edges with the sigma and speed booster. Most searches reveal it's use with the black magic cameras, though I did find this which the sigma was put on a canon 1D used at 1.3 crop and only had slight vignetting at 18mm but at 35mm with no crop it worked.

I agree it sounds interesting, but that significant jump in weight is just that - significant. The Voigtlander comes in at 540 grams (19.04 ounces), which is not that much difference from my GH3 body itself. Whereas the Sigma 18-35 plus the Speedbooster is going to come in at about 988 grams or 2.178 pounds. Thank goodness I would have the camera body and grip to handle that weight. I will watch this thread as I plan to order my Voigtlander 17.5mm lens next week unless there are meaningful reasons to change my mind.

The Nikon F mount version of the Sigma works very well on the black magic cameras using the speed booster, the pocket camera and I think the larger camera too, but Metabones has specific speed boosters for either of the two black magic cameras. The speed booster has an aperture adjustment which moves the tab on the lens itself, then of course you just manually focus. Personally I have no problem manually focusing, I've gotten so used to it using my other lenses, when going to an AF lens it feels a bit odd till I realize what I'm doing.

I don't know why I'm just more pleased to use a MF native mount lens than an adapted one, and while the speed boosters are interesting I've only found them to be a passing interest. I don't have lenses that could utilize one, and I'm pleased enough with the many I already have. And there's still some 4/3 mount gems I'd not mind having before going speed booster.

I've seen images taken with the 14-35 and they do look amazing, the price scares me though $2300, and you still need an adapter. The sigma and speed booster would be about $1200, minus the autofocus, is autofocus worth $1100? With the sigma you get a wider zoom range and an extra 1.5 stops of light.

The sigma on an APS-C camera completely changes it's range and ability 27-53mm. With the speed booster it's a completely different lens for m43 which makes the 'specs' pretty desirable, at least for me.

And how sure are you on the edge sharpness? The sigma was "usable" on a FF. Plus in the link I provided, a DX lens was used with the speed booster and showed significantly sharper edge results than a native m43 lens, Nikon DX 35mm f1.8 compared with the Panasonic 25mm f1.4. So I wouldn't jump to conclusion on the edge sharpness. That's the purpose of my thread, I was curious if this had been done with this specific lens and how the results were.

Oh and also the sigma is more valuable in the long run since once you take the speed booster off you can use it on another system, a lot of people like the lens anyways so if you ever wanted to sell it it would be much easier.

Yes m43's are designed smaller with small lenses, but if you don't have or want another system there are plenty of times when you can use it in a shoot, where you have a bunch of gear with you anyways, this setup with the speed booster I think would hardly make a difference with the weight. It just adds more options to your existing lens selection. 2351a5e196
