The main idea here was to showcase married couples where one of the partners is imagining the party of the other part to be perfect, The One. A sense of despondency then sets in. Howsoever hard one tries, he/she fails to be good enough for the other. The alliance may not get mummified, to use an expression from P G Wodehouse, but it goes into a coma of sorts. Both the movies mentioned by you, though my favourites, would not fall in this category!

Thank you. All of the three mentioned are interesting additions, though Chhoti Si Mulaqat does not quite make the cut. I think there are a few other movies (with a My Fair Lady touch, if I may say so) which have a similar theme, though, at the moment, my memory fails me.

Apparently Apple TV is the new go to for aging auteurs, with both Martin Scorsese\u2019s \u2018Killers of the Flower Moon\u2019 and Ridley Scott\u2019s \u2018Napoleon,\u2019 both financed by the tech giants Apple Studios. I\u2019m not mad at Apple Plus, but I ventured out to see both in theaters the day they opened. For me, it felt incredibly disrespectful to see huge, ambitious movies by two of the greatest living directors on the same lap top that I\u2019m typing on right now.

While Scorsese was able to ably balance the personal and historical levels of the Burkhart relationship, in \u2018Napoleon\u2019 Ridley Scott\u2019s is not as successful in balancing the intimate and the public sides of France\u2019s emperor. Napoleon was a military genius, who was also involved in a complicated, often frustrating, marriage with his soul mate Empress Josephine. The two threads feel like two movies \u2014 a love story of sexual conflict and drama \u2014 and an historic epic with immense battles sequences.
