Larry has long admired the careful manner in which Lange scripts it watches, resulting in an in-depth investigation of the fonts used and how they have evolved since the watchmaker was revived in 1994. Though the font used by Lange is based on the serif Engravers typeface, it has been subtly but significantly tweaked for its timepieces.

[Update 1]: The code block looks absolutely ugly with Shne mono, I don't know why, but when looking at this font it hurts my eye. Also updated the workaround to use Monaco

Sohne is a contemporary sans-serif typeface designed by German type designer and typographer Jrgen Weltin in 2019. It was released by the Berlin-based type foundry TypeMates. The font features a modern and minimalistic design, with a combination of geometric and humanist influences. Its shapes are simple and clean, with a slightly condensed look that gives it a unique appearance.

Sohne is a versatile font that evokes a sense of sophistication and elegance. Its minimalistic design and clean lines make it a great choice for projects that require a modern and professional look. It is suitable for a wide range of uses, including web design, branding, and editorial design. It is also a great choice for websites that need to communicate a sense of trust and reliability.

Akzidenz-Grotesk is a well-known typeface family with a long history. After the release of its first style in 1898, the family continued to grow. As a result, individual styles and sizes show many inconsistencies that have the effect of making the typeface unique and interesting. It comes as no surprise that many foundries have developed their own fonts based on Akzidenz-Grotesk. A recent addition to this lineage is Shne, designed by Kris Sowersby of Klim Type Foundry in New Zealand.

Founded in 2002, Typographica is a review of typefaces and type books, with occasional commentary on fonts and typographic design. Edited by Stephen Coles and Caren Litherland and designed by Chris Hamamoto.

We use a font in for our brand which often is reported missing when using Collaboration. The font is called Shne and when keynote reports it as missing it calls it Sohne. While collaborating you can't replace fonts with the Replace Fonts tool- it's greyed out.

"Our objectives were quite simple," says Sowersby, Klim's director. "We wanted visitors and customers to play with our type, test it and read about it. We wanted the experience to be effortless, informative and interesting, and for buyers to encounter a straight-forward and direct purchasing and licensing process. Aesthetically, we wanted the redesign of the site to complement Shne, which is our new brand font."

What do I use it for? Like other highly legible sans-serifs, Shne is versatile. The bold, condensed cuts work as an impactful display font, while lighter weights could be used on everything from body copy text to forms to signage.

When you open a PowerPoint 2010 or later presentation that was created on a different computer and saved in the "PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentation" format with the fonts embedded, you find that the original fonts are replaced by other fonts. 006ab0faaa
