After tabulating and consolidating results, the central counting station manager shall prepare a CD-R which contains cast vote records, as well as vote totals, and a copy of the consolidated returns from election management system (GEMS). Open the election database in GEMS, click on Election in the menu bar and then click Backup. Follow the steps to create a unique file name for your backup, save and then copy the file to a CD.

The Division of Elections works with the Florida Department of Health and the U.S. Social Security Administration to match death certificate recordings to the Florida Voter Registration rolls. Students without one of the forms of ID listed above, can obtain a voter-compliant ID card free of charge and present this ID at the polls. The card can be used regardless of the expiration date printed on the card. However, if the expiration date has passed, when you vote you will also need to present a Voter Enrollment Verification letter to the poll worker on a cell phone or other electronic device. A printed copy of the enrollment verification letter will also be accepted. The card is valid for voting purposes regardless of the expiration date printed on the card, as long as the card-holder is enrolled at UW-Madison.

To receive a duplicate voter registration card, you must make a request, in writing, to your local county election commission office. In your letter, inform your election commission that you have lost your original voter registration card. When voting, your voter registration card is not required.
