When I run the soapui.bat I get the message saying JAVA_HOME is not set. Can someone tell me where in the code I need to set this? I've attached a snippet of the soapui.bat. I'm not a developer/programmer. I'm trying to help someone within our company.

This is quite specific, but pycharm was the second with which it happened. I'm no debug expert and just want to know the reason (not necessarily fix it). How should I go about it? So this is what I experience: SoapUI and PyCharm, when start up, they both create a window, but that window remains empty.. no widgets, no menus appear in them. In case I switch to Fvwm or i3, the windows appear with the expected menus and widgets. What's going on here? I'm using cb3f58a with slight color and border changes in config.h, even without patches.

Our IIS web service uses soapui to pass information from our telephony company to our ERP system, and we need to make our IIS web service accessible to the telephony provider. On our AWA firewall, under access, I added their IP and granted it access to our IIS web service. After adding to firewall, they were able to access the service, but the soapui functionality did not work. I then added my home IP address to the firewall, added the IIS servers public IP address and server domain name to my host file, tested it, and it worked!

And here is the configuration I'm trying at app.config for my c# console application that consumes the same service.

The first method is download the Windows installer. When the program is executed a windows command prompt window is opened to execute the application code. Once the application finished loading the SoapUI interface is opened in a separate window.

SoapUI can also be installed and executed using Java Web Start by downloading the soapui.jnlp file. In order to start the application you must have the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed on your computer. You can install the JRE by going to and selecting the download now link. Once the JRE is installed you can download and run soapui.jnlp. The application will then download and install on your local machine. There won't be any executables or shortcuts created by the installation. To run SoapUI simply execute soapui.jnlp and the application will start.

Unfortunately, there is no repository to be added to the sources, so SOAPUI cannot be installed through apt-get or Ubuntu package management. Some description is on -started/installing-soapui/installing-on-linux-or-unix.html . Resolution given by Trent is only option, but in reality, currently, you should download just .sh file (Linux installer) from -release.html which has approx. 130+MB and try following commands for 64bit:

If you encounter a Permission denied error when running the soapui.sh script, make sure to change the file permission mode by granting executable privileges to the user by executing the chmod command as chmod 755 soapui.sh.

At the next step of the installation wizard, you can select which components you need to include in soapUI, such as; Hermes JMS, soapUI source files, and tutorials. Simply accept all options and click on Next. You will be prompted with the license agreement for Hermes components at the next step. Accept the license agreement and click on Next to proceed through the wizard. Then, you will be asked to specify a directory for soapUI tutorials. Enter a location which is in your filesystem and click on Next. You will be asked for a directory where soapUI symlinks are created for executables such as the soapui.sh file. Enter a directory and click on Next. You can check the Create a desktop icon checkbox to create an icon on the desktop so can you can easily launch soapUI. Finally, click on the Next button to start the installation.

Download soapUI free. I prefer to download the portable zip file for windows and just extract the program into the appropriate location. Once installed, run soapUI by executing soapUI.bat (on Windows) which is located in the bin directory. e24fc04721
