Also on the DVD are video files that offer visual reinforcement of the techniques in action that totals near 3 hours instruction.

While we are far from finished with the program (after only a few weeks, I would be shocked to finish it completely), P is making progress and already attempting to merge his newly learned skills with free drawing. His only complaint so far has been that our printer has printed some pages too lightly for him to see well.

basically on ArcGIS Pro I georeferenced a 1930s glacier map and I want to sketch out the glacier and compare the sketch to the modern day glacier to see how much it changed, but I cant figure out where or how I can simply draw and create a polygon as a layer

Like most apps, there would be tons of ads, pay to learn most lessons, watch ads for lessons, etc, but this app has none of those. I just finished my first lesson, the winter tree. But I honestly think landscapes are more my thing. I will soon start my 2nd lesson but i would want landscaping next. Im deciding to start with the winter tree, mushroom, daisy, and more. This is because the landscapes has more nature in it, so it would be good to learn how to draw nature then add a thing humans use. (House, boat, tent, and more.) I do agree simply draw makes creating art easier. I rated 5/5 because I mean it. This app is perfect for a beginner artist. Thank you for reading!

This app is great if you are a total beginner (like myself). They walk you through every step in very clear and helpful videos. Rather than teach you one specific way to draw something (a tree for example), they give you the tools and techniques to draw said tree in a variety of ways in a variety of styles so that you can draw much more than just one little tree.

I love to draw with pencil and have been doing it my whole life. I find it relaxing where I get lost in the drawing, tuning out anything around me. I rarely ever put my drawings on the net, but it is more my calling than is photography. Only my drawings and paintings are framed on my walls, not even one photograph. It is nice of you offering a lesson to your friend. You are very talented and I bet a good teacher.

The geometric solution involves using vector diagrams to visually represent the vectors and their resultant vector. By drawing vectors to scale and arranging them head to tail, you can determine the magnitude and direction of the resultant vector by completing the polygon formed by the vectors.

How to draw a dashed line in PS?? I tried it intuitive way. I read that simple dashed line I don't get. To draw a line I'm, supposed not to use "line", but "pen". But there is no "shape" option form me. Only brushes. Can I simply draw a dashed line?? (of 4 px thick with 24 px, 4 px break, 6 px, 4 px break, 6 px, 4 px break --- then repeat)

The Procreate iPad drawing app -- a CNET Editors' Choice pick for 2022 -- costs $13 to download, but its suite of art tools and creative features make it well worth the money. The digital illustration app is accessible whether you're a design professional, a seasoned digital artist or a beginner to the world of digital illustration. I've been using Procreate for a couple years and there are still features I'm finding out about that improve my artwork (check out all of the best Procreate tips I've found so far).

Autodesk has an extensive, well-organized brush library, and with its customizable brushes, it's easy to adjust settings like brush size, opacity and pressure. Even with a typical learning curve of a new drawing app, the toolbar is pretty easy to figure out. I also liked that, even when extensively zoomed in, the app didn't lose its "drawing" feel by letting you see the pixels in your stroke.

One of my favorite parts of Sketchbook is the focus on making the transition from paper to screen easy. You might've done cool sketching in a notebook, and with Autodesk, you don't have to redraw the sketch in the app. Your camera doubles as a scanner so you can import your art. The image imports with a transparent background so you can immediately get to work in the app.

Art Set 4 is one of the more basic, realistic drawing apps. It's free to download, but most of its tools are unlocked through the Premium Pro features, which cost $13. This app would be best if you're brand-new to digital illustration -- it feels similar to having physical tools and paper in front of you. I love its user interface. If you're overwhelmed by the idea of going into a more complex app like Procreate or Autodesk, the Art Set 4 drawing tool is a good one to get started with. It's also fun if you just want to doodle.

Something I really like about Art Set 4 is the ease with which even the free tools work together in a piece. It's also nice that you can swap between multicolored paper styles like canvas and the rough surface of heavyweight, cold press sheets for watercolor. You can choose burlap styles, cardboard and grids without messing up a drawing you've already done.

When you explore the app, any items that require Premium Pro will be locked. If you tap on a locked item, Art Set will ask if you want to upgrade and unlock everything. Premium gives you full access to over 150 brushes, 3D paint, fluid watercolor, the ability to layer and use masks, enable a "wet canvas," drawing guides like symmetry, shapes, filling and dozens of other ways to customize your workspace.
