If you back up your iPhone as it is now, you will likely be bringing over the same ringtone issue to the iPhone after the restoration. You can certainly try though and see if just restoring from a backup takes care of those rogue ringtones. Are you able to delete the ringtones individually, by swiping left on the actual tone and selecting the Delete button? Or do you not see that appear? Is your iPhone synced with any other device that shares an Apple ID with it? How were these ringtones obtained originally? Were they purchased through iTunes or synced on your iPhone?

After there is an Apple software update, sometimes there are glitches involved. Here is a solution in case you haven't solved the problem. Sorry this is a long post, I have still not covered the other crazy happenings with my phone. I have tried resetting, restoring and also visiting a service center to check up on it just to ensure it's not a hardware issue; which it cannot be because all hardware functions work as expected. So this is a software issue and it's just not going away no matter what I tried and was recommended by the good folks at apple phone support.
