I installed ROME TOTAL WAR for my kids on XP running under VMWare Fusion. The fonts in the game didn't display (they were just solid blocks of colour) then the game crashed taking down XP with it. XP restarted and now it's totally knackered. See the screen shot attached. Also, I'm unable to drag any files at all or use the 'send to' command to save them to removable storage. I've tried windows restore but nothing helps. It seems the entire operating system is corrupted. I've had to install a new virtual machine and kiss good bye to all the files and programs I'd installed and then kick myself for not taking frequent snapshots and windows backups.
