I'm trying to make a shortcut for minecraft so that my PC can detect it, I use alienware and it wont detect the game so that I can assign a power option and color to it. Is there a way to make a desktop shortcut for minecraft and other microsoft store games? Or is buying the java edition the only way.
Applocker does not want to work with me. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I've set up the default rules, I set up a path to the downloads folder of the standard user and I even directly said to block the Roblox.exe from launching but that damn thing is persistent. It can download through anything. I made sure the rules were enforced, that the application was denied by everyone. But it will not block the app at all. So far the only working thing I found was to let the students install the game, block it from going outbound through the firewall, then change the hosts file in windows to block the website, and then delete the microsoft store. The fact I have to do this much for a simple exe is driving me nuts. I know a webfilter would be great but I am not in a position to purchase one of those or I don't know where to start to get one that works the way I want it.

I don't think they would have added themselves as much of the programs they want to use, (mainly just Roblox) does not require an admin to install. I've been searching all over the web to block all sources of this, but they must have paid big money to be virtually unstoppable. I change the hosts name, microsoft edge is unaffected by the hosts file. Microsoft store, bringing the installer on a flash drive, using play.gg to play through browser. I know no matter what someone will figure it out, but I still want to be able to control what can and cannot be accessed. e24fc04721
