These are recurring alarms that work 95% of the time but sometimes this weird bug happens and the Volume setting just randomly goes to zero. The alarm pops up on my screen normally but the phone is completely silent. I am now randomly checking this setting before going to bed and it still sometimes happens to me. I actually had to buy a regular alarm clock as backup.
Hi. I've been stressed out for quite some time because my ringtones can't be heard or are very soft. I have not been able to receive the calls, often missed them. I am building an alarm clock app, and when the phone is silent, i want it to play the alarm but keep the phone mode on silent. The alarm app I have right now (defualt samsung / android stock one) keeps the phone on silent mode but you still hear the alarm.

Audio is set as ringtone only once, but solution to this problem is - If you are trying to run the same code again, you'll be inserting a duplicate entry into MediaStore's table, but the SQLite database won't allow you. You have to either rename your file and add another instance of it, or go in, remove the entry, and then try again. So I removed that entry every time and then insert it again.
To change the ringtone, go to Settings > Sound. Here, change the ringtone under Phone ringtone option. If you use separate tones for special contacts and you are facing the same issue specifically for a particular contact, change their ringtone.
