Basically I'm trying to figure out how to embed an image into a comment without having to upload to imgur, copy the link, and embed it using the Link button - I was *sure* I've been able to do this in the past, I'm not sure if I was using a different Reddit Chrome plugin, but I figured since I can do this from my mobile app there must (might?) be a way to enable this from the settings, although I couldn't find it.

For moderation, NSFW images are not allowed and will be automatically removed. We also have automod support available. For more details on moderation and this new feature, check out our r/modnews post.

PPS thanks for stopping by and don't forget to upvote. To clarify this question was asked about baconreader, an app used to view reddit. Baconreader has since added a feature to post links by simply clicking text icon you can add text that is hyperlinked just like this!

It has come to my attention that some of you dumbasses still don't understand what subreddit you're in so I'll just tell you how to do it on reddit regardless of what app you're using. It looks like this but with no x or space between the bracketed part and the parentheses part.

Now, reddit has rolled out a new feature that allows images to be directly posted in comments, and will be visible without the need to click a link. You can see an example of this in the comments of this post.

After a successful trial run on r/WindowsHelp, we have decided to opt-in to this new feature on r/windows. All images must be relevant to the post, and please don't post memes or other images that are purely for humor. All of our other subreddit rules must also be followed of course.

This has been going on for a while, and I have no idea as to why it could possibly be. What always happens is: I reply to the comment with an image, the reply seems to post, but then it gets removed and I get a DM from reddit saying " A comment you shared in response to this comment on (Insert Sub here) at (Insert hour here) has been deleted since it failed to process. This might have been an issue with our systems or with the media that was attached to the comment. Please try to upload it again or resubmit the comment without the media. " It doesn't matter which image or sub I upload it in, it always happens.

Many of us have witnessed the breathtaking moon photos taken with the latest zoom lenses, starting with the S20 Ultra. Nevertheless, I've always had doubts about their authenticity, as they appear almost too perfect. While these images are not necessarily outright fabrications, neither are they entirely genuine. Let me explain.

In the side-by-side above, I hope you can appreciate that Samsung is leveraging an AI model to put craters and other details on places which were just a blurry mess. And I have to stress this: there's a difference between additional processing a la super-resolution, when multiple frames are combined to recover detail which would otherwise be lost, and this, where you have a specific AI model trained on a set of moon images, in order to recognize the moon and slap on the moon texture on it (when there is no detail to recover in the first place, as in this experiment). This is not the same kind of processing that is done when you're zooming into something else, when those multiple exposures and different data from each frame account to something. This is specific to the moon.

The moon pictures from Samsung are fake. Samsung's marketing is deceptive. It is adding detail where there is none (in this experiment, it was intentionally removed). In this article, they mention multi-frames, multi-exposures, but the reality is, it's AI doing most of the work, not the optics, the optics aren't capable of resolving the detail that you see. Since the moon is tidally locked to the Earth, it's very easy to train your model on other moon images and just slap that texture when a moon-like thing is detected.

Now, Samsung does say "No image overlaying or texture effects are applied when taking a photo, because that would cause similar objects to share the same texture patterns if an object detection were to be confused by the Scene Optimizer.", which might be technically true - you're not applying any texture if you have an AI model that applies the texture as a part of the process, but in reality and without all the tech jargon, that's that's happening. It's a texture of the moon.

TL:DR Samsung is using AI/ML (neural network trained on 100s of images of the moon) to recover/add the texture of the moon on your moon pictures, and while some think that's your camera's capability, it's actually not. And it's not sharpening, it's not adding detail from multiple frames because in this experiment, all the frames contain the same amount of detail. None of the frames have the craters etc. because they're intentionally blurred, yet the camera somehow miraculously knows that they are there. And don't even get me started on the motion interpolation on their "super slow-mo", maybe that's another post in the future..

It's not that the subreddits I'm in don't allow them one subreddit I'm in I used to be able to and many other people still post pictures in comments but I just can't find the option on any subreddit comments anymore? What can I do to fix this?

posts that have body text AND an image will show a preview of up to 4 lines of text and the photo. however, when i click the post, i can only see the photo and comments, and cannot find the body text anywhere.

Hi everybody! If you're a regular on this subreddit, you probably already know but for those who don't, I've been working on compiling a list of various Trader Joe's "mascots" at Trader Joe's locations across the country. I'm hoping to make another post listing the mascots eventually but would like to make sure it's as up-to-date and accurate as possible first, and that's where I need your help! :)

So far I've found or gathered information on over 200+ different mascots (mostly in California) but I'm still missing a lot of locations since Trader Joe's has over 500 stores now (I think 537 currently), and some of the information I have is old (sourced from Instagram geotagged locations, Yelp, Foursquare, and old Reddit comments) so the information I have may be outdated since sometimes mascots get "lost" (stolen) or retired and switched out, or were updated when they were brought back after the height of the pandemic.

Reddit is finally allowing images (edit - only one image per comment is allowed) to be posted in comments without using an outside link like imgur, so feel free to post any mascot pictures below!

Basically, this shortcut lets you overlay one image with another and then saves it to Photos. Since iOS 16 includes a photo cutout function in the Photos app, I added the possibility to cut out the most forefront object/person in pic 1 before laying it over the second pic.

When I post a picture I upload it from my computer. It shows up as an image but when I look at my previous posts it is just a link. Do I have to upload my image to an image-sharing site first and then link to it so that my image always shows up? Below is an example of what I mean - I have looked at other users' streams and it shows their images.

Hi! I tried to make a custom sized image in Canvas, however, the graphic automatically has the clock icon and is showing 5 seconds on it. I have no idea how to make it stop, since I don't want a video and just want a graphic. It's causing my images to download at low quality and come out really pixelated. Anybody know how to make it stop?

Hello! I am interested in creating a post and I would like to know how to attach an image to the post. The imgur link stuff got me all dizzy. I was wondering whether I could just post a picture and some text to it.

So you've taken the dive and installed Stable Diffusion. But this isn't quite like Dalle2. There's sliders everywhere, different diffusers, seeds... Enough to make anyone's head spin. But don't fret. These settings will give you a better experience once you get comfortable with them. In this guide, I'm going to talk about how to generate text2image artwork using Stable Diffusion. I'm going to go over basic prompting theory, what different settings do, and in what situations you might want to tweak the settings.

Disclaimer: Ultimately we are ALL beginners at this, including me. If anything I say sounds totally different than your experience, please comment and show me with examples! Let's share information and learn together in the comments!

Sites that have repositories of AI imagery with included prompts and settings like   are your god. Flip through here and look for things similar to what you want. Or just let yourself be inspired. Take note of phrases used in prompts that generate good images. Steal liberally. Remix. Steal their prompt verbatim and then take out an artist. What happens? Have fun with it. Ultimately, the process of creating images in Stable Diffusion is self-driven. I can't tell you what to do.

You can add as much as you want at once to your prompts. Don't feel the need to add phrases one at a time to see how the model reacts. The model likes shock and awe. Typically, the longer and more detailed your prompt is, the better your results will be. Take time to be specific. My theory for this is that people don't waste their time describing in detail images that they don't like. The AI is weirdly intuitively trained to see "Wow this person has a lot to say about this piece!" as "quality image". So be bold and descriptive. Just keep in mind every prompt has a token limit of (I believe) 75. Get yourself a GUI that tells you when you've hit this limit, or you might be banging your head against your desk: some GUIs will happily let you add as much as you want to your prompt while silently truncating the end. Yikes.

If your image looks straight up bad (or nowhere near what you're imagining) at k_euler_a, step 15, CFG 8 (I'll explain these settings in depth later), messing with other settings isn't going to help you very much. Go back to the drawing board on your prompt. At the early stages of prompt engineering, you're mainly looking toward mood, composition (how the subjects are laid out in the scene), and color. Your spit take, essentially. If it looks bad, add or remove words and phrases until it doesn't look bad anymore. Try to debug what is going wrong. Look at the image and try to see why the AI made the choices it did. There's always a reason in your prompt (although sometimes that reason can be utterly inscrutable). 2351a5e196
