Everyone seems to be very confused about the origin of the blood that was covering Ramsay in the last episode. People are claiming that he and Myranda (his paramore) must have been having very violent and bloody sex. However, that is simply not the cause of the blood. The blood is composed of splatters from fighting, not cuts. When we see Ramsay and Myranda having sex neither are covered in blood. Granted they are rough and are both known to be violent people, but there is no blood. Now, seeing as the last time Ramsay is on screen before he shows up to the fight all bloody is this sex scene it could be confusing as to where it came from. But, there are off-screen clues as to where the blood comes from. When Yara and her men are trying to extricate Reek the bells start going off and you can here shouting and fighting in the distance. Granted, this is all hard to hear over the dogs barking and the dialogue, but it's clearly there. Soon after this Ramsay enters with his men and is covered in blood. This off-screen fighting is where it came from. His stiletto is already bloody, as are the swords of his men. Furthermore, after the fight with Yara's men he is covered in even more blood, some on his neck and face. There is a close up of this when he is unlocking the dog cages and the blood is clearly splatters, not cuts. Finally, the bath scene with he and Reek takes place the next days and Ramsay has no cuts on his chest or neck, which are both visible and were covered in blood the night before. Sorry, I recognize this is all just a technicality, but it's irked me. If they wanted to make a point of Ramsay having bloody sex they would have shoehorned it into that already useless and unnecessary sex scene. And while it is odd to have him that bloody without actually showing it happen, it is just blood from battle. Yara is covered in it at the end of the fight. Hell, Jorah was drenched in blood after taking Yunkai with Grey Worm and Daario and no one wondered whether or not he stopped to have violent knife-play sex with a prostitute before he came back to Dany.

And the best part? All you need is some evaporated milk, sugar, vanilla, and the star of the show: fresh snow! Stir the first three ingredients together, mix in the snow, and you have a delicious vanilla treat that only takes about 5 minutes to make. How easy is that?!

Snow ice cream is just like it sounds. It's ice cream made of snow (and 3 other key ingredients)! It's traditionally a Southern treat and I grew up eating it as a kid after big snowstorms. It makes a snow day all the more fun when you get this cold, creamy treat.

In a small bowl, mix the milk, sugar, and vanilla together until well combined. In a large bowl, add about 8-10 cups of snow. Pour the milk mixture over the top and stir well to combine. The texture will be close to that of homemade ice cream (thinner than store-bought ice cream but still have some structure when scooped). Serve right away, adding sprinkles if you'd like.

Yep, it's generally safe to eat snow but you'll want to make sure it's fresh snow, typically right after a snow storm. Make sure it's bright white -- if it's colored in any way, then it's contaminated by dirt, animals, or something else.

I haven't made this specific recipe but I know it will be wonderful. I grew up in Tennessee where we don't get a lot of snow so, Snow Cream was a treat. Thank you for posting! I will make this recipe with our first good snow.

I'm hoping for some snow here in Glasgow, Scotland so I can make this. Although cold enough for snow, it doesn't snow that much here. Plenty in the mountains though. Maybe I should take the ingredients up there! ?

Awesome! Now I have the measurements for "some"......oh how could I have forgotten the vanilla!!!! Fond childhood memories at the cabin at Lake Tahoe! Wouldn't ya know....I just left my Utah snow for a roadtrip visiting parentals......of course, no snow where they live now! Argh. Maybe we will have another great storm when I get back home! Happy Day!

This can also be made with regular milk (whole is best). It's probably a little runnier, but still delicious. We don't currently live where there is snow, but when we lived in Idaho my kids LOVED to make snow ice cream. Yum.

While both have the appearance of flat peas, snow peas (also known as Chinese snow peas and mangetout) and the more common sugar snap peas are very different. Snow peas have flat pods with smaller peas inside, while sugar snaps are more rounded and have fuller peas within the pod.

Introducing our new patent pending 6 bladed fan that moves over 50 tons/hour more snow! Our serrated auger grinds through the snow, helping remove air pockets, making it more dense before it reaches the fan. Our patent pending 6 bladed ringed fan is consistently fed for maximum performance in even the heaviest, wettest snow conditions to virtually eliminate chute clogging.

I missed the first thread on snow boots, and although I live in the same neck of the woods as you, I do own some, because I'm a skier. I go for the whites, too, not because they are practical but because it's what I like. However, I will mention that white snow boots turn yellow over time, and possibly even brown in places, too.

Hi Angie, I think it depends on the weather conditions - if you are inside quite a bit, or if you don't get a ton of snow and are just dealing with cold, then white would LOOK terrific. BUT if, like me and many other Ontarians and others, your realistic winter activities includes walking through slush and salt and muck, then a darker color is better - the salt stains are more noticeable on a darker color but can often be washed off; whereas the dirt on white might be harder to deal with. Perhaps a light neutral like gray would be a better alternative to white while still being somewhat more practical. Just imho. Hope that helps!

Thanks, E. I think black snow boots look great with black puffers and black hair. I don't like the idea of black snow boots for my own style. I do like the idea of cognac, and the inks look interesting too. But I would like to have a white pair - just because.

It's true black snow boots work well with gals with black hair. And as you know, I'm a fan of black in general. It's just a personal thing -- for me, snow boots should be white. Because, snow!

Aziraphale.....In a perfect world snow would be white and pristine. But in Ottawa only freshly fallen snow is white. It quickly becomes mixed with dirt.....and don't even get me started with the dog poop that too many people leave ON the sidewalk to disolve into the whole messy lot. I frequently rinse off my black boots in the laundry tub because they get dirty fast.

I like medium to dark grey as softer than black but able to hide the dirty snow stains pretty well. Brown would be another choice if it went with a coat.

Black often shows salt marks when snow melts on them.

During last year's polar vortex, the snow stayed and stayed. It got dirtier by the week. Black boots get my vote for staying acceptable-looking for most of the time. Grey might even be better. I have one pair I save for the wettest, saltiest days. As things dry out a bit, I get out my nicer boots.

Chiming in here. My snow boots are charcoal (and the short ones are lighter grey) for all the reasons mentioned. I wouldn't mind giving a white pair a try -- but they'd need to be super-cleanable because slush is INCREDIBLY dirty -- dirtiest thing known to human kind. It's a mixture of snow, salt, and (in my city) sand (which they use in addition to salt to reduce the slip factor) so it's really, really grimy.

Those white LLBeans sure are cute - and tempting, but every pair of white Sorel's (the only brand I've noticed who does white boots) I've seen turn yellow in a pretty short period of time . The yellow is , well, not attractive I have so many pair of snow boots that I don't even notice what colour they are - honestly it's all about design, function and trim. I prefer neutrals, no colours. Cognac/grey combos are very sophisticated and look Aspen-ish

Marilyn -- ew ew ew! I see your point. It's very true that we don't have to contend with much 'old snow' in Vancouver...here, it does snow occasionally, but it tends not to last long before it gets washed away in the rain. The local mountains always have snow, though, and because it's not subject to cars and dogs, it tends to stay beautiful and white!

LOL, Aziraphale. Sorry for the gross factor. When everything is covered in snow and the sidewalks are lined with snow banks the poor pups are left with just the sidewalk for their business. My little guy gets so confused when the snow first arrives......with no grass he doesn't know what to do. As a daily dog walker, people who don't pick up are a major pet peeve of mine. 17dc91bb1f
