I made some custom covers for several of my Spotify playlists in GIMP on the PC. I added them on my PC and confirmed that they showed up on my phone. But when trying to share them to my social media, the standard "4 artists album cover collage" shows up instead of my own.

So I sent the playlist to a couple of friends via the chat function in Snapchat. My custom covers show up in the preview when sending the link, and the recipients also see my covers when they open them on Spotify on their phone, but still, when I share them as a Facebook/Instagram story or Snapchat picture/story, it still doesn't work.

When you share a playlist with a custom cover on Instagram, it will be automatically replaced with the default four-tile album artwork instead. When sharing to Snapchat, only Spotify-owned and curated playlists will support custom artwork.

this is ridiculous, it's 2022 but this is still not implemented, this is not a rocket science. seems that if the playlist is created by spotify, it will show the custom cover picture, but if the playlist is created by someone else even the artist itself, the custom cover picture does not show.

I followed the instructions on the docs page: I requested the ugc-image-upload, playlist-modify-public and playlist-modify-private scopes, added the content type header and made a jpeg Base64 String. But I keep getting back a 405 Method Not Allowed error. I am able to create a image with the same URL and Authorization Token on android. I already tried to add the android generated Base64 String to my swift request, but this did not work either.

while reordering the tracks in my playlists, i noticed that the default playlist cover (4 tiles) is not always in sync with the four top tracks, specifically when viewing from my public profile versus from the playlist itself.

The cover image is based on the order of the tracks the playlist was created with initially. Any change to those tracks (to the top-4), like removing one of them, should cause the cover to update automatically.

I can't change my playlist cover, I thought maybe it was because somehow I tried to upload PNG version of the picture, but turned out it wasn't the issue. I asked my friends if then can change their playlist cover, all of them said yes. So I thought that maybe I should just wait a little bit more and it will fix at some point, but it's been almost four days and I still cannot change the cover. And yes, I tried different pictures, didn't work. I tried logging off multiple times and the log in, but it didn't help either, as well as simply shutting the app off. When I try to change it, it says "You cannot save changes to a playlist. Try again."

I am having the exact same problem. Everyone online says to perform a clean reinstall, but I have done this multiple times on all the devices I am logged in on and nothing has changed, I still can't change my Spotify covers. I also thought the problem would fix itself, but it has been weeks and I still can't edit playlists.

I tried the solutions above on the web player and on the web app. I uninstalled the windows app, downloaded the one on Spotify website and installed it. I disabled all the firewall...etc. I still can't change the playlist cover. I select a new pic to upload. Then, it keeps uploading forever (freezes there and nothing happens). Any solution please?

I'm trying to edit my playlist covers from one of my public playlists from my MacBook air, and I decided I didn't like one of the covers I chose and wanted to go back to the original four-album cover display, but there does not seem to be an option to remove the playlist cover. It only tells me I can replace it with something else. Am I missing something or is it not possible to return to the original four album covers after you've already changed it?

Hi. I built this website a long time ago to help people to change their Spotify playlist cover image, name and description way before the official Spotify app allowed people to do so. Thankfully, Spotify now allows people to change these details in the app. So, I'll outline all the ways you can change your Spotify playlist image.

In the example above, you can see how certain playlist covers automatically jump out at you more than others. This can have a massive impact on whether or not you can stand out in search and successfully increase your reach and listens. If you want people to listen, quality, well-optimized covers are a must-have.

Contrasting colors should be a go-to design trick for Spotify playlist cover photos. Playlist covers are so small even on desktop that they need to be exceptionally easy to register, even at a quick glance. Contrasting colors help your text and any core visual elements stand out immediately, along with helping your image overall jump out in the search results pages.

Spotify will build a collage based on the first four albums in the playlist. If multiple songs at the top of the list are from the same album, Spotify will pull from as many songs as required to populate four different albums for the collage.

Click or hover over a playlist image > select Choose photo > find the image on your computer > Save. You can use this same process to change the playlist picture on the Spotify web player.

Select a playlist and tap the three vertical dots below the playlist name near the top of the screen. Then choose Edit playlist > Change image > Choose photo > select a new picture > and tap Save.

Hi there. On playlists that I have created on Qobuz the images of each playlist is pixelated on the My Playlists/Collection screen. However when I select a specific playlist and click into it, the image is ok. In all other areas on the 150b images are ok. This only is present for playlists that I have created on Qobuz and that have been imported. Playlists that I have created on Tidal or playlists from any other source (Rose for example) are fine. I have logged out and signed in to Qobuz, updated the firmware on the Rose 150 and am not able to fix the issue. Any suggestions are welcome.

A lot of spotify playlist covers these days have a very flat, dark, monochromatic look. This step is totally optional and depends on your personal choice. You can either choose to simply color correct your photographs and use them as it is. You can also just use some cool graphics.

Creating custom playlists is one of the main benefits of a Spotify Premium subscription. Whether you are curating a 'Strictly Beyonce' playlist for your weekly cleanathon or a fitness soundtrack to help you sweat, Spotify allows you to personalize your playlists to suit you, your event and your mood.

For the playlist cover, you may have noticed that Spotify creates a collage using album art from some of the songs on your playlist. If you're looking to change or customize a playlist cover, you've come to the right place. Here's how it's done:

By default, Spotify uses the album covers from the first four songs in your playlist to create the playlist cover collage. To change it, you can rearrange the order of the songs in your playlist or upload or take a new photo.

4. To rearrange the songs on your playlist, tap and hold the three horizontal bars next to a song, then drag your finger up or down. Take your finger off the screen to drop a song into its new place. Once you're satisfied with the order, tap Save.

5. To upload custom art or a photo, tap Change Image under the current cover art. Tap Choose from library or Take photo. For the library option, tap to select a photo from your iPhone's image library, then Choose, then Save.

Previously, Android users could only upload custom cover art on the Spotify desktop site, but this is no longer the case. Similar to the iPhone app, Android users can rearrange playlists songs to change the cover art or upload a photo from their device.

5. To upload custom art or a photo for the album cover, tap Change Image under the current cover art. Tap Choose photo or Take photo. If you're choosing a photo, tap to select an image from your Android's photo library, then Use photo, then Save.

Choosing the right cover for your Spotify playlist is like adding a cherry on top of a musical sundae. It sets the vibe and piques interest before a note even plays. So what are some cool ideas for playlist covers? 2351a5e196
