One of the great new trends in worship music is to invite worshippers to dance before the Lord with a contemporary, exciting musical feel featuring electronic dance music (EDM), and upbeat musical arrangements. Some recent examples of songs we've been able to sing and dance along with include "God's Great Dance Floor" by Martin Smith, also recorded by Chris Tomlin, as well as the energetic songs "Alive" and "Wake" by Hillsong Young & Free, and "Everywhere" by Revolution Worship. In that same vein of upbeat songs to really get you excited about your faith is a new collection by Australia's Planetshakers, Endless Praise.

I love how the music of this album matches the excitement being expressed lyrically. Our God is worthy of all of our praise, and we'll be singing and dancing before Him for eternity and this song gives believers a foretaste of that celebration. One of my favorite things about "singing a new song to the Lord" is that the idea of worship in Heaven is an exciting picture for me, and that's the glimpse that we gain from this collection of high energy songs. It delighted God that David, a man after God's own heart, danced unashamed before the Lord. This song is an example of being obedient to that calling to make God the object of all of our worship. I had the opportunity to speak with Joth Hunt about the energetic title track.

Please tell me the personal story behind writing this song.

We're very excited to release this album, and our sound is very passionate and very intense because we believe that God is worthy of all of our praise, a passionate praise. In a lot of our songs like this song, we want to capture that excitement and celebration of how good God is. The songwriting process of this song started with me thinking about the description in Revelation of the angels singing "Holy, Holy, Holy" day after day and night after night. That theme has been sung in songs before, but I wanted to come up with a fresh lyric that I hadn't heard before and as I thought about that, the phrase endless praise came to me. That's a simple title, but it made me think about what that brought to my mind and how I feel, the idea of singing and praising day after day and night after night.

The whole song came out of that one phrase, endless praise. It is very directional, "to You, let endless praise resound, every night and day, and with no delay, let endless praise resound." It's a call to people any time of day, and any situation that you are in, to not delay, and to not cease their praise, but let it out now. That's the heart behind the song.

Which Bible verses connect to the message of the song?

Revelation 4:8 (NKJV): The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!"

Psalm 149:3 (NKJV): Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.

What is the takeaway message?

Worship is more than singing a song in a meeting. I can testify firsthand that when you pray to God through a bad situation, it gets turned around. God works all things together for our good. Sometimes you don't feel like praising God, and that doesn't just mean singing Him a song, but just shifting your focus from your situation to Him, and giving Him praise and glory.

The Scripture I base my life on is "seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added." It's so easy in this day and age to be distracted by technology, and even family, as good as it is. All these things take our attention and our focus. The Bible says to seek first God's Kingdom. That goes hand in hand with praising God. Praise Him first, and He will bring the breakthrough and do the work in your life.

Worship is so much more than a song, and is a lifestyle. If you have a true revelation of who God is, you can't praise Him without passion. If you realize who He is, and what He has done for us, it calls for this exciting, passionate praise. The music going with the lyrics is important for us. I've heard songs with a lyric saying we're going to dance with all our might, and the music isn't lending itself to do that. We really believe that just as the lyric is declaring the praise, that the music is declaring that as well. Our song "Dance" and this song are celebratory songs just like in the Psalms. It is repeated over and over to dance before the Lord. To me, when there is repetition in the Bible, God is trying to tell us something. There should be praising, and dancing and celebration in the Church. For a lot of the praise songs that we are writing, we are trying to encourage people to trust God through all of the situations in life.

Lyrics:

You are God, and we lift You up

Well keep singing, Well keep praising

We wont stop, Giving all we got

Cause Your worthy, Of all glory

Oh, There is no other

You are forever, Lord over all

Theres nobody like You, No one beside You

To You let endless praise resound

Every night and day, and with no delay

Let endless praise resound

Boundless Love

Light before the sun

Your glory eternal

Never stops

Giving all you got

Creation keeps singing

Oh, There is no other

You are forever, Lord over all

Theres nobody like You, No one beside You

To You let endless praise resound

Every night and day, and with no delay

Let endless praise resound

To You let endless praise resound

Every night and day, and with no delay

Let endless praise resound

We lift You up up up

Were giving You our love love love

For everything Youve done done done

We give You all the praise

We lift You up up up

Were giving You our love love love

For everything Youve done done done

We give You all the praise

To You let endless praise resound

Every night and day, and with no delay

Let endless praise resound

To You let endless praise resound

Every night and day, and with no delay

Let endless praise resound

To You

One of the sections that I really enjoy in this song is the bridge, "We lift You up, up, up" and "We're giving You our love, love, love for everything You've done, done, done." As the Scripture and famous hymn repeats, "Holy, Holy, Holy," God often speaks to us three times. Biblical scholars consider the number three as something that is used to get our attention, draw emphasis or show completion, as God is Three in One, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Examples in Scripture include Jesus asking Peter three times if he loved Him, after Peter had denied the Lord three times, and giving Peter a vision three times of unclean animals on a sheet. Biblically we know we will be singing "Holy, Holy, Holy" day after day, and night after night, which emphasizes the sacredness of God.

Sometimes people think that worship is something they do at an event or at church or only through music. We know from Scripture, that worship is what you put your worth-ship in, and that a biblical definition of worship is a lifestyle of endless praise. God tells us repeatedly in His Word to sing and dance before Him. This song is a great answer to that calling. Join in with the angels and saints, and dance and sing before Him, "We give You all the praise." Amen to that!

The lyrics of the song remind us that God is worthy of all His glory. He is the one and only God, and there is no one like Him. He is the Lord over all and His love is boundless and eternal. We can give Him our love and praise for all He has done for us.

We can lift Him up and give Him our love and praise for all He has done. He is the one who created us and gave us life. He is the one who gave us His Son, Jesus, to save us from our sins. He is the one who gives us strength and hope in times of trouble. He is the one who gives us joy and peace in our lives.

Let us join together in singing endless praise to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Let us give Him all the glory and honor He deserves. Let us lift Him up and give Him our love and praise for all He has done. Let us give Him our endless praise and worship Him with all our hearts.

In the first and second verses, the lyrics speak about God's boundless love, eternal glory, and never-ending provision. The song emphasizes that creation itself sings His praises, highlighting the beauty and greatness of God and His works.

The chorus encourages listeners to offer "endless praise" to God, both morning and night, with no delay or hesitation. The lyrics in the bridge express the same sentiments, praising God for everything He has done and giving Him all the deserved praise.

Overall, "Endless Praise" reminds listeners that God is the ultimate source of all good things and deserves our unceasing thanks and adoration. The song encourages believers to continually lift God up, giving Him all the glory, love, and praise He is due. ff782bc1db
