Shutterfly is a popular photo printing service that allows users to upload and store digital photos online, create photo books, and order prints. However, sometimes you may want to download your pictures from Shutterfly to your computer for backup or other purposes. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to download pictures from Shutterfly to your computer.

I am trying to upload photos on Shutterfly and when I choose to get photos from my computer the photos in my Photos app never appear. It just constantly says loading images (there aren't that many there). I can choose photos from other folders.

So, yes, your friend is right. It is good practice to keep the RAWs by setting your camera to record in that format, as the RAWs are sort of like a "digital negative". But, just like negatives, they generally aren't the final product that's displayed. For many common uses, that would be a JPEG instead. So you need to make a conversion from RAW to JPEG outside your camera, in your computer.

I asked this question earlier but the category went to mobile. Anyway, I tried to upload pictures to Shutterfly and they would not go thru. I used my daughter's laptop and they uploaded very quickly. I am assuming that the firewall is preventing this? How can I turn that off or get permission to upload to shutterfly?

Storing and managing photos can be a frantic task at times. Shutterfly is one of the few reliable photo storing services that allow users to easily organize their pictures. From sorting them into categories to filtering them when needed and from tagging your friends into their respective pictures to turning photos into unique photo frames, Shutterfly makes it all possible.

You can import images from your computer or social media platforms like Instagram. Yet once the images upload, you have to scroll through them via a tiny view space on the bottom that is far from user-friendly.

The improved software offers automatic detection when a digital camera or memory card is plugged into the computer, and then allows the user to quickly copy pictures to a folder on their computer. Shutterfly Express has convenient offline editing options, which include cropping, red-eye removal, quick fix and image rotation. Customers can use their images as screensavers and create slideshows. The software also provides a printable quick-start guide.

For the best results, upload and use print-quality photos from your computer or select from photos already uploaded to your Shutterfly, Facebook or Instagram accounts. Any photo you use has to be in JPEG format.

Mixbook's minimalist layout makes it very easy to use. The site has dozens of fun photo book themes -- family, seasonal, wedding, travel, baby -- and more specific designs in each category, perfect for photo gifts. There's also the option to put a book together from scratch. Mixbook lets you upload print-quality photos from your computer or phone as well as from Facebook and Instagram, and ones you've already uploaded to the site. Mixbook offers a lot of customization options. You can choose from multiple page finishes and different cover option styles. If you want to get fancy, you can even add matte finishes, a hard cover or leather with a dust jacket.

Walmart lets you upload photos from your computer, Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Dropbox and Google Photos, but the site will only hold onto the photos for one year. It was easy to drag and drop photos or swap layout pages in the template. After dropping a photo in, you can click it to make any adjustments. However, Walmart provides fewer photo-editing options -- a black-and-white or a sepia filter, the ability to crop, zoom and tilt; brightness adjustment and red-eye elimination -- compared to other websites. While building your book, you can swap templates at any time, but the photos you've placed won't transfer, and you'll need to place them into the new layout. One of the downsides to Walmart's photo books, though, was the lack of embellishments. The program lets you add text, but the ability to add "stickers" like those on other sites, would've taken the design process up a level.

I just got my edited engagement photos back! Yay! I want to make photo books using Shutterfly for the parents (2 sets of divorced parents and possibly for the grandparents as well) with a promise for a wedding photobook once I get those pictures. I also want to use the 8x8 book I got from WW for my guestbook.

I just got my 10 x 10 wedding album from shutterfly and I love it. It took a bunch of time to upload and arrange the photos and pick the layouts. They have an auto-fill option, but the auto-filled managed to pick the wrong photos to be big, so I ended up doing it manually. The 10 x 10 is pretty big. I think 8x8 would be plenty for a gift album.

I used shutterfly for our guestbook (relationship and engagement pictures), then made picture books for our parents afterwards, one for us, and a honeymoon picture book. I have been very happy with the variety offered, and they do have some great sales. For example, right now they have $20 off a purchase of $20 or more, and there is always free shipping for $39 and over, and if you are just signing up I think you always get 100 free prints. I would definitely look into them! 2351a5e196
