Hi all, for the last couple of days I was dealing with the issue of moving my WhatsApp chat history to a new Honor device, it's Honor 30 Pro+ to be exact. Recently, I've encountered all the problems I can imagine with my older Xiaomi phone, my screen is shattered and my battery is swollen.

Any advice is appreciated, despite the fact I've liked this device really much. It is not the fact that, I can't use Google services, that kills me, rather the usability is so bad, that I can't even restore a local WhatsApp backup, which I manually placed onto the new phone :/

UPDATE: I've been told that there is an option in WhatsApp itself for transferring chats from older Android phone to your new one, but you need to use updated app on both devices. Luckily, both Honor phone and my older Xiaomi run Android 10, and support latest WhatsApp version. To find this, you need to open Settings menu, Chats, and select Transfer chats option, and simply follow the instructions

I have a Jenkins job that uses the Git plugin to clone a repository. I have configured it to take refspec configuration from a parameter in Repositories --> Advanced (want to use the same job for multiple refspecs).

Am I doing smoething wrong, or is this a bug? Our clone times are through the roof and we need every optimization we can get. I can just add all possible refspecs to the config (this is supported), but that increases the clone time by significantly.

The Honor 10X Lite too falls in the same unfortunate group of phones that don't get Google's blessing as a result of the US-China trade dispute. So this Honor ships with Android, but not with Google Play Services, and apps dependent on them won't run. The Android version is 10, and there's an extra layer of EMUI over it, itself in version 3.1.

To get yourself started, you can use the Phone Clone app, which will copy everything from your old phone, including all installed apps except for Google's (and some banking apps). The thing is, going that route means you won't get future updates to these apps automatically.
