Following the album's release, Phoenix appeared at various major music festivals, including the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas in 2009, Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California in 2010, the 2010 Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tennessee, the Southside Festival and Hurricane Festival in Germany, the 2010 Lollapalooza, the Mile High Music Festival, Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco, California, Rock Werchter 2010 in Belgium, and the 2010 Reading and Leeds Festivals. On 20 October 2010, French electronic music group Daft Punk, composing of guitarist Christian Mazzalai's childhood friends Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, made a special appearance for their show in Madison Square Garden.[citation needed]

A schedule of the music festivals that Phoenix performed at in support of the new album was announced and headline positions were confirmed for Germany's Rock am Ring and Rock im Park Festivals,[38] Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival,[39] Primavera Sound,[40] and Lollapalooza.[41] The band also appeared at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, Tennessee,[42] and appeared alongside acts such as Beyonc and Nine Inch Nails at the "Made in America" festival during Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[43]

On 22 April 2013, Phoenix played a London show at Shepherd's Bush Empire on the day that Bankrupt! was released. In a review of the performance, music writer Josh Holliday declared: "And along with peace, love and understanding, what the world needs now is a band we can all believe in as one. That band is Phoenix."[39] On 6 May 2013, Phoenix were taped for the thirty-ninth season of live music television series Austin City Limits (ACL) at Moody Theatre in Austin, Texas.[50] Terry Likona, executive producer of the show, announced that Phoenix would co-headline the two-weekend Austin City Limits Music Festival in October 2013, alongside other big acts such as Kings of Leon, Wilco, and Depeche Mode.[51][52]

In media articles on Bankrupt! after the album's release, Mars provided insight into the circumstances that influenced the creation of the band's fifth album: "At that time, we started talking about success and not music. I guess it was time to protect ourselves and focus on music again." Mars made reference to the period of intensive public attention that occurred in the wake of the Grammy Award-winning Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, Phoenix's first record to achieve gold certification.[29]

On 1 March 2017, Phoenix again updated social media, teasing new music with a 30-second clip, and announcing multiple tour dates. By 24 April 2017, the band had announced that their sixth album, Ti Amo, would be released on 9 June 2017.[53] Three days later, on 27 April 2017, the band released the album's first single, "J-Boy" (an acronym for "Just Because of You").[54] This was followed by the release of the title track, "Ti Amo", on 18 May 2017[55] and the single "Goodbye Soleil" on 2 June 2017, a week before the album's release.[56] Phoenix toured worldwide to promote the release of Ti Amo.[citation needed]

As always, I opt to sit on the lawn, the covered section is only really worth it if you find yourself out there for longer shows. The sun sets behind the top of the lawn which results in good temperature drops. For this tour, they had a squared arch LED that towered around 20 feet, along with an upper deck that fit up to three individual musicians (percussion, keyboard, and one string player). On both sides of the stage, there are big screens used to show the crowd as well as close-ups of the acts.

These five intermediate-level duets for two natural horns can also be played on modern instruments with the appropriate fingerings. They are all based on only natural harmonics. The modern horn player can thus learn to become familiar with the natural horn without the need to change the position of the right hand in the bell. In this way, these untempered notes create a special atmosphere ideal for the Nocturnes.

The old saying is that all horn music is either Long Line or Hunting Music. This movement is the latter. It is in 6/8 rondo form, as many last movements of horn compositions are, but with a tasty twist: it is based around the blues scale, not something in much use back in the eighteenth century, but which is familiar to everyone today.

Fantasia for Two Horns and Piano was composed for the 2021 Phoenix Music Competition. In 2021, I challenged Phoenix Music Publications to organise a Horn Duo Competition. At a time when half of the world was still under physical distancing and confinement. Accordingly, horn players all over the world were trying to keep in shape and this led to the creation of the Phoenix Music Competition 2021. The winning piece is dedicated to Anthony Parrish and Matt Meadows.

As the name suggests, the fantasia does not follow a strict musical form. Like much of my music, it was born out of a slow-motion improvisation. It begins with a catchy rhythmic note repetition and a heroic theme, gradually becoming more ambiguous and alternating between 3/4 and 6/4 time signatures. Thereafter, the initial theme morphs into different characters before returning to the original idea with extra energy. Fantasia for Two Horns and Piano is the perfect piece to play as part of a split solo recital or to combine with other pieces for two horns and piano.

Cabeza de Vaca was composed in Perdonone, Italy and Brussels, Belgium in November, 2021. Although it is written for only two percussionists, it can also be performed more easily by adding extra players.

Kerry Turner has international fame both as composer and performer. Correspondingly his numerous compositions earned prestigious awards throughout the world. Accordingly they are continuously both performed and recorded by the absolute best musicians everywhere.

Ricardo Matosinhos is a Portugese Hornist, Composer and Educator of international renown. Specifically his series of music for Jazz Horn have earned international attention and reclaim. Consequently Phoenix Music Publications is extremely proud to have him as one of our featured composers.

When Phoenix replaced it, I have felt a massive intake of fresh air, like I opened windows towards my music. Micro-details hopped on board and I could better see the contour of the notes compared to the SU-6. Leading edges appeared by a tiny bit sharper and I could easier follow their trail from inception to decay. With Phoenix, the key word was focus, as it was moving the spotlights towards the smallest nuances and what was already impressive on SU-6, felt by a hair clearer on the Phoenix.

Phoenix Conservatory of Music (PCM) is a not-for-profit community music school offering private lessons, a unique College Prep Program, group classes, summer camps, pre-k music school, and after-school programs.

Congratulations to Bryan for graduating high school in May 2023 and enrolling at College of the Holy Cross on a full-ride scholarship beginning Fall 2023. At the College of the Holy Cross, he is studying Psychology and Music. Post college, he plans to pursue a career in education, either for music or psychology.

The one-of-a-kind Musical Instrument Museum is known for its collection of thousands of instruments from all over the world.
