To reset without unlocking : performing a software repair using PC Companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).
It seems to be perfect but I have one question before doing this:
It's written that we need our Google account and password, without I will never be able to use my phone, but will I have to enter this informations on my computer or on my mobile ? Because, my z5c is broken (the screen doesn't work at all), so I can't put my account and password on it.

I recently decided to upgrade my photography and offer myself a Compact System Camera also known as mirrorless camera. I have always been into photography since my young age. I guess it is a family thing, all my siblings own a camera, some are more advanced than others but it is great to share a common hobby.
Contrary to SLR cameras and accessories for which you need a dedicated camera bag, the Sony a5000 can fit in a jacket pocket or in a small bag. I needed something small, light and powerful. Small and light because of the space and weight restriction when it comes to luggages while traveling. But also carrying a camera bag full of lenses and photography accessories for a day can be heavy.
This screen can flip up to 180 degrees, perfect for selfies. But it also helps a lot to capture some scenes from different angles without necessarily take some poses requiring flexibility only mastered by yogis! (cf.photo below)
I think this new acquisition will be a great travel companion and will motivate me to share better quality photos with you guys. It is not always easy to capture the beauty of some scenes as you will see them for real but it would definitely help to get a better visual. It is a great camera if like me you want to upgrade your photography game, get familiar with manual mode and carry it around.
I received an email from Sony Mobile stating that there is a Software update available for your Xperia Z3V.... It included a download for PC Companion (which has never recognized my phone). I tried it today, seemed it might be close to working when I went under the Phone/Tablet Software Upgrade key.
Alas, my phone was still not listed under the available units. Why would they send an email knowing that the Z3V does not get recognized by PC Companion telling you that there is Software Upgrade available there?????
I have asked Sony this question in different forums as I have been trying to get these two (PC Companion and Z3V) to connect since buying the phone in October, and I've never gotten a clear answer from them as to why the phone is rejected by the company.
Not recognized on my PC, or Mac for that matter, either. The PC companion does not recognize Model D6708 as a valid Sony product apparently. I have another service request out to Sony right now, and their telling me to use the PC Companion to reset my phone. I can't because it doesn't recognize my Z3V. I'm waiting for their response now.
I'm suspecting that purchasing the Z3V was a massive mistake on my part. I assumed that a phone that was being pushed so hard by Verizon and seemed so slick on Sony's website would at least have cursory support.
Support from Sony is limited to non existent regarding the Z3v. Even when I sent in my phone to pay for a replacement screen they returned it saying they wont fix it. They even messed up the os whereby it wouldn't boot any more and pc companion had no option to refresh the whole phone back to defaults. Neither Verizon nor Sony had any alternative option for PC companion. I had to scour the net for hopes that someone had an image. I found one and used some flash tool to domthe job.
