Do I only get to paint on the same layer as drawing layer? Then what would be the point of separating layers into 4 different types as O,L,C.U?

Or if I ever want to paint on the C layer, using brush tool and painting page by page would be the only option ?

Hello fellow Mayans! I'm quite new to maya; currently trying out the 3d paint tool. I've done everything according to this video. However, when I try to then paint on the texture, it simply won't let me draw on it, there is a red circle but when I left click and drag, nothing happens. I do have my UV's layed out flat. Does anyone have any ideas? I've searched through all of google and this subreddit.

I've just now reinstalled the latest drivers (latest on ugee website was a few weeks ago) but paint tool sai still won't work. If I have paint tool sai focused, the pen will not longer move the mouse.

The only fix I know of is going into the paint tool SAI folder and opening 'misc'Then change "TabletMouseSimulation = 0" to "TabletMouseSimulation = 1" . That should fix the pen not moving.. but currently I have come across another problem with the stabilizer not working (after using this fix to stop the pen from not working) and its really frustrating me im considering getting a wacom x_x

Hello again I was wondering if its possible to recreate the feeling of the line quality from paint tool sai ?Like stabilization wise or even these brushes. Mostly the marker brush, watercolor and pencil. Thank you.

Hi All,

I would like to also request the addition of the existing Sample Paint (Eyedropper) tool from the Materials tray be added to the Tools Menu (under Paint Brush) and allow, more importantly, a shortcut to be assigned in Sketchup Preferences.

So, all you need to do is press B, and then hold down the ALT key to sample any material in the model view, let up when the current material is set as you wish, and paint away as many objects as desired.

Further, if you select any one of the following tools, Refine Edge, Rotobrush or Paint and you double-click on a layer, even a nested composition, the Layer Panel will appear. Off course such layers must not have their Collapsed Transformation or Continuously Rasterize switch enabled.

I'm really liking the "fuzzy skin" feature, but I'm finding the "Outside walls or All walls" selection is not flexible enough, i.e., there may be portions of a contiguous surface I want to make fuzzy, but not others. I'm thinking a paint tool that lets me specify what surfaces or portions thereof I want the fuzz effect on would be helpful. Is this doable? I don't see a github topic for this.

Thinking about how this might be implemented, "painting", given it's inherent imprecise nature, might not be the way to go. Better, perhaps, would be to implement it as an "Add Modifier" or "Add Part" feature which you could shape and place more precisely and assign the fuzzy attribute to it. I can see this opening up all kinds of possibilities such as uploading a logo/branding file to have it appear as a fuzzy "patch" on an otherwise smooth wall. In that respect, it would also be nice to have the fuzzy attribute available as a top layer fill pattern, with specifiable thickness and point offset as currently available. Maybe this is already available by this method (just thinking out loud here), I'll experiment a little.

The Text tool now automatically expands the textbox as you type. When resizing, there's now a minimum size based on the text in the textbox. It previews exactly what size it will end up with when resizing.

Fixed a bug where vertically thin selections were difficult or impossible to drag (despite showing adrag cursor).(The draggable region was offset outside of the selection box.)Fixed a similar bug where tool previews would get offset if the canvas's height was very small.

The magnifier preview and other tool previews are now hidden while dragging the Colors box or Tools box.It looked confusing when the magnifier preview was shown at the same time asthe preview outline for dragging/docking a tool window.

For languages that read right-to-left, the History view (Edit > History) now uses aright-to-left layout, and the color box and tool box no longer flip their layout when dragging them into a window or dockingthem back to a side of the application.

Using only your voice, you can switch tools and colors, pan the view, click on buttons on the screen byname, and use most menu items. You can even say "draw a cat in a party hat" to have JS Paint try to sketch a cat in a party hat.

There are many synonyms for commands, and often you can do things with very short phrases like "Curve"to switch to the Curve tool.If it's not recognizing your voice for short commands like "Curve" or "Cut", you may want to try longerphrases like "Curve tool" or "Cut selection",as this helps it distinguish the sound as speech, rather than a cough for instance.

The Text tool now perfectly previews the pixels that will be placed on the canvas. What you see is what you get! Also it retains all browser editing behavior, like spellcheck, using a convoluted, yet elegant overlaying strategy.(I prototyped this hereand here if you're interested.)

With the fill-only option selected, the Polygon tool now previews with inverted lines, like MS Paintdoes.(When you finish the polygon, the boundary of the shape matches the preview exactly, because it actually does draw a stroke, just the same color as the fill.)

It's possible to apply the current color to the entire layer with the paint bucket in the Color picker. You can also apply a color to a scene object without losing painted color detail through the use of materials.

The Paint tool has two main interface panels. The Paint Library is used for creating new and selecting existing brushes. The Paint Settings allows fine tune adjustment to your currently selected brushes.

So, what can we do about this Pansage's official art? The lines are a solid dark colour so it's fairly safe to use a selection tool. For a program like SAI, it's best to make a dark layer underneath (even if it isn't visible at first) and edit your selection settings until you have most of the unwanted colour selected. Anti-aliasing is what you'll need for a smooth edge, but if you're editing pixel art it'll have to be unticked for a pixelly edge.

The Lasso and Marquee options let you choose how you will select areas to paint by clicking and dragging the cursor to paint on drawings. The default selection mode is Lasso. Whichever mode you choose, everything inside the selection will be painted.

The Automatic Close Gap option is used while painting drawings with small gaps. Instead of having to close them manually either with the Brush tool or Close Gap tool, Storyboard Pro will analyse the drawing and close the gaps while you paint according to the selected mode.

While working in the Stage view, you can use the Dropper tool to pick a colour from your drawing without going to the Colour view. When picking a colour with the dropper, the colour is not added to the swatch list. It is becomes the current colour.

Thank you for the very informative review for openCanvas 7. I was wondering about the diverences bewteen popular drawing programs and you just nailed it for me. I am an ex painter-drawer (if I coud say it this way) and want to return to painting software that are simple, fast, easy to use and does not use as much resource for my midrange pc setup.

I thin I will start out with openCanvas7, especially Steam (wich Im fan from too=] ) has it on sale now 04-05-2021. What do you think should I get it?

Clip Studio Paint is optimized for drawing and painting, making it ideal for illustrators. The painting brushes are highly customizable and easy to use. There's a thriving community of users who constantly contribute to the online materials library. Clip Studio Paint is also ideal for illustrators who specialize in linework. The smoothness of lines, lack of lag while drawing, as well as the vector output make drawing very fun and efficient.

CSP is a versatile digital painting program great for painting and inking with many unique features.

One of my favourites is the perspective ruler which is super useful and convenient for planning or drawing backgrounds!

I' have really tried to learn this program, but every tutorial I watch, it seems has a different program called Affinity Photo, with different tools in different places, that or the tutorial won't tell you where they find the tools in the program.

I don't have a Paint Brush Tool or an Eye Dropper tool in my Affinity program, have I some outdated version, is there a trick, am I missing something? , are there others out there who feel like they've been robbed of hours of their time?

OK, it was a bit of a hassle because I had to create yet another Affinity account, but I download the App Store version (1.9.3) and ... My brush tool icon is STILL missing! How is something like this even possible?

There is no key stroke that does that. Most likely you just did not notice the small triangle next to the Pixel Tool (like was shown here) indicating that in the default layout the Pixel, Paint Brush, & Color Replacement Brush tools share the same spot on the Tools panel. 2351a5e196
