Hello,

This morning as I came into work, I saw a note saying my work associate cannot duplicate a tab on excel online, so I've had a bit of a play with it this morning, but stretched my limit of trouble shooting, which is why I'm here as a last resort.

I use microsoft edge on 1 PC and Chrome on another and both PC's are doing the same thing, it doesn't matter if it's a new excel work book or what ever it does the same thing.

On the PC that uses chrome I checked with edge, and the option to duplicate a tab is there, so I don't know what's going on, did microsoft update and remove the duplicate feature from excel online?

I have tried:

- Searching the internet

Download Online Excel

Download 🔥 https://tinurll.com/2yGAty 🔥

- Resetting my chrome settings and history

Usually I am fine with excel online but this option has me baffled as I know it's not a faulty file, it can't be someone's used the office 365 application to enable/disable options because it works in a "fresh" browser.

My only guess is microsoft's done an update that doesn't reflect on the "fresh" browser, and if so then that's really poor as my work colleagues NEED that duplicate option as their excel knowledge is very limited.

Thanks for your time on this really silly issue that shouldn't even be an issue, but microsoft be microsoft I guess.

EDIT: I have tried to log-in with a different account and it appears that account the duplicate is back.

I actually have no idea what is going on here, that just confuses me more, what are you doing microsoft?

Edit 2: I can confirm it's account based, new excel files that I make don't have the duplicate feature, I logged into the edge browser and sure enough the duplicate feature doesn't exist, instead it's "copy" and "paste".

Hi @Bendigo_MC , I'm facing the same issue with you as well. You have any idea how to fix the account that has 'Duplicate' function removed? Is there any option to rollback the update in Excel online?

Afraid there is no such option. You may vote for the idea to keep Duplicate on feedback portal Sheet tab menu - let keep both Duplicate and Copy/Paste sheet Community (microsoft.com) or/and add your own feedback.

@A_Hafizi tecnicamente, no tem a opo de reverter funo DUPLICAR. Um suporte do Excel que nossa empresa contactou informou que podemos votar nesta comunidade para ver se a Microsoft inverte esta deciso. Absurdo isso!

I've been trying to cleanup blank cells/rows en masse, but when I look under Find & Select in my online version of Excel through Office365, I don't see this as available. My company only has subscriptions for the online version, not the desktop apps. Is there somewhere else I should be looking? I don't understand why the feature isn't included with online versions. Please advise. Thanks!!

I have an excel file which was sharing through OneDrive space for many months. I post its shared link into whatsapp application, such that I can load it into whatsapp's web interface in office to get it loaded into the FireFox browser. It worked fine for many months until today.

I have the exact same problem. Shared file on OneDrive that worked fine for about a week, with multiple users accessing and editing without any problem. All editing was done in the browser. Then suddenly, all users received the same error message that's attached to Chao Wang's post. Clearing cookies, as the one reply suggested, does not work.

We are having the same issues since a few weeks. Some files do not open in Excel Online or even in the client anymore. For 1 file we Saved a new version and that worked, but this cannot be the solution for all files. Is this related to a SP or Windows Upgrade? It's not Browser related. As we have the issue both in Chrome or IE. Any assistance would be great!

I am having this issue just starting this week. No idea what happened. Last week I could edit the file in the browser fine. Now I can only open in the desktop app, but opening in browser or in Teams gives an error that does not have any information in Google other than this one page.

Wondering how others have used Excel with Arcgis Online, since this is a common query from clients. I've been using Power Query ( see this excellent walk through) wth Arcgis and it's very easy to setup.

Most of the customers I speak with use ArcGIS Maps for Office. This may not do everything you need, but I'd definitely consider taking a look, as it gives pretty seamless flow between ArcGIS Online and Excel.

Yes agreed Arcgis Office is quite useful indeed. However in our case we are having to update data tables from multiple surveys and image attachments built with Collector and survey123. By using PowerQuery you can access the arc Rest to access tables and attachments without having to do much coding at all, pretty nifty.

Hi, we're super interested in this also - ArcGIS Maps for office doesn't deliver exactly what we're after. unfortunately the linked post (to rwalker.info) is no longer available - any chance you could share that content? Rashan Walker, is that your blog?

Brilliant! thanks heaps! I've managed to map out the JSON endpoint to the attribute data with a bit of trial and error, but it'd be great to validate if i'm doing it effectively/correctly. The main challenge I'm having is for authenticated services; I haven't worked out how to connect to anything but a publicly shared endpoint

I use excel online to work on a spreadsheet from another user's onedrive. I installed the flow add-in to excel online. It had been working fine for months. now it won't let me sign in. It will pop up the sign in window, but will never sign me in. I get no error message.

Well, this isn't a fix. It's a temporary workaround at best.

Replacing Edge by a permanent older version is also a security risk.

Lets cross our fingers and hope that Microsoft will deliver a solution to this problem.

I'm wondering if this feature of Chrome is to blame for the issue? Edge is a Chromium browser as well so it would make sense. Apparently, other applications are experiencing problems related to this "Experimental third-party storage partitioning" as well.

Hi! I work from home and share an excel file with other employees. We all make edits to the file and save it so others can see. Typically when I open files, I choose to open them on my desktop and not online. However, this file does not give me the option to open it on my desktop. When I click open, it immediately tries to open it through Excel Online. However, the file is too big, so Excel Online can't open it. So now I can't open the file at all. Please help me with this. Thanks!

You will have to work on this file from within your Dropbox Folder @Bowmanh23 (meaning that you'll need to have the desktop app running and this file located within your Dropbox folder's structure) - or else the changes you make won't sync back to our servers and therefore to other linked (to your account) computers or even on the machines of other collaborators.

Well, I logged out and logged back in and it suddenly worked. Not sure why. However, I am new to Dropbox and want to make sure I understand it thoroughly, so I answered the questions below. I think there are still a few tweaks I need to make.

I can download it locally, but it doesn't save to the online version. It just saves to my Mac. I am new to Dropbox and not sure how to save the downloaded version where it will also save to the shared version online. If I download the file and then save it, won't I have to download a different file every week? I don't want to do that if I don't have to. 152ee80cbc
