It looks like you're trying to upload to OneDrive for Business. The MSDN article you found applies to personal OneDrives; BITS isn't supported in OneDrive for Business. Although you can't use Start-BitsTransfer, you can find info about the new upload API's here, which work for both personal and business OneDrives.

Welcome to Bits and Tips, a series where you can learn a bit or a tip about an application, such as Outlook, Teams, O365 Forms, Zoom, and more. We'll be rolling out more bits and tips in the coming months, so please bookmark this site for future reference.

Either way, please keep in mind that removing an item automatically revokes your permission to access it.

Remove items from the Shared list on OneDrive for BusinessLike in OneDrive personal, you can remove a file or folder from the Shared view by using the Remove from shared list option. But here you will still keep permissions to it! If you use the sharing link provided to you by the item's owner, the item will re-appear in your Shared list.

How to stop sharing OneDrive files or change permissionsFinally, let's look at how you can stop sharing a file or folder or change the permissions you've provided to other people. I believe no one will be surprised to hear that it works differently for personal and business accounts :)

You will need to configure the RailRunOnce registry value mentioned here:

There is a "best response" by Randy Cook that provides a bit more information.

If you do business in the EU, you need to comply with the GDPR when storing and using customer data. Since OneDrive can transfer data to servers located in the U.S. without the Privacy Shield agreement as well as to servers in non-EU countries, OneDrive is not considered compliant with the GDPR. Furthermore, OneDrive terms and conditions grant Microsoft the right to use stored data, meaning GDPR-compliant data processing is not guaranteed.

Furthermore, in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR, companies must also make a written contract with Microsoft for data processing, collection and use if data is stored in OneDrive for business purposes. The following aspects must be defined:

Microsoft takes a lot of precautions in making OneDrive secure for business data. Not only do they offer two-factor authentication, fully encrypt data in transit as well as in rest, and store data in multiple, highly secured data centers, they also monitor your account for suspicious activity and logins, and alert you of account tampering and possible malware attacks.

Have you been thinking of a mixing option #1 and option #3?

So users that sometimes runs a published desktop have the full rich onedrive experience and when they use published applications have access to onedrive through the mapped drive?

Do you think it is OK to switch off protected mode for the trusted sites (or Intranet, see next question) zone?

Would it be better security-wise to move the onedrive/sharepoint sites to the Intranet Zone and disable protected mode there?

Evaluated all the options.

1) onedrive worked well downside uses cache and would create service desk calls if sync issues and storage space in FSLogix profile Also could potentially cause issues if users started to sync network drives/My documents. (not enough group policies to lock it down).

2) Requires internet explorer and for me required IE to be logged onto every login to authenticate. (If we could get the auth automated this would have been the best.

3) Cloud drive mapper looked the best option out of all of them but could not justify the cost.

We have Citrix environment with fslogix o365 and onedrive configure. SilentAccountconfisg is set to 1 which means SSO and folder setup happens automatically. However we have problem with SSO intermittently. We have vhdmode set as 3 which will create seperate VHD when user logs in to multiple sessions. We see SSO breaks mostly when second simultaneous vdi is launched. Any thoughts?

Which version do I install (32 bits vs 64 bits)?

Because of compatibility issues with some plug-ins We advise to always install the 32 bits version of Office. Please check the help text on the download page for information on the limitations of the 64 bits version.

Microsoft Teams is a proprietary business communication platform developed by Microsoft, as part of the Microsoft 365 family of products. Teams primarily competes with the similar service Slack, offering workspace chat and videoconferencing, file storage, and application integration.
