Some One Piece fans have been calling for Jamie Lee Curtis to be cast as Dr. Kureha in the live-action adaptation. Dr. Kureha is a key figure in the Drum Island Arc: She is the adoptive mother of Tony Tony Chopper, the doctor who joins the Straw Hat. On Sept. 22, Curtis made a post on Instagram expressing her interest in playing the character. "ONCE the STRIKE against the greed of the AMTPT is SETTLED with a FAIR CONTRACT, I will lobby along with the growing fan frenzy to become Doctor Kureha in @onepiecenetflix," she wrote.
