Indeed, GuitarTuna deserves all the praises and popularity it has. Most especially with the exceptional and useful array of guitar tuning tools and features as well as its simple and straightforward user interface. The app is available for free but, if you want to experience more extensive tuning tools and features you should purchase its premium version.

So for context, I bought a Fender FA-125 about 6 days ago, and have been practicing about 2-3 hours everyday so far using guitar tuna to both tune my guitar and use one of the games for learning the G, C, Em, D, A, Am, F(not barre), and E chords. But I'm basically going at it completely blind. It says I'm hitting the chords right but... I just mean it's an app so I don't know whether or not to trust it. Any advice around this would help alot :).

My snark went flying under my couch 2 days ago I can't quite reach it, a friend is gonna help me move it this weekend. So I searched for guitar tuner in play store and Gutar Tuna was the first one that popped up. I fire it up and get this.

Hello. I have been playing guitalele for seven years now and it is a very great instrument. But I am looking for a tuning app. A guitalele is tuned like a guitar, but it is in a. You tune it like a guitar, it's the same chords but not when playing with others. But a a minor would probably become a d minor. I need an app that can be used to tune it. I can tune without it but I hate it.

Download GuitarTuna app, it's free.

Use the ukulele tuner, in the app, to tune the bottom three strings C E A.

Then switch to the guitar tuner, in the app and tune the top three strings A D G.

I have a difficult time tuning my guitar to certain tunings, maybe with the exception of Drop D. Is there anyway someone could help me achieved the right tuning using the guitar tuna app? How many boxes to the right or left or -#. Screenshots would help too. Thank you!

Given we have the Web Audio API and getUserMedia, I wondered if I could make a passable guitar tuner. Looks like I can, and in the process I learned way more stuff about audio than I care to mention. Cool stuff, though! I thought I'd do a breakdown of what went into building it.

If you're not a guitarist, or you don't have a guitar to hand, you can always check out the video below where I show it in use. Unfortunately it does involve seeing me play the guitar, for which I can only apologise, but hopefully I at least get points for trying.

You can tune your guitar with a microphone or by ear. Tuning the guitar automatically with a microphone is much easier, faster, and is our recommended option. However, tuning your instrument by ear will improve your musical ear in the long term, and can be a valuable skill to learn for the moments when you are not online.

To tune your guitar automatically:

Since a piano has a high degree of inharmonicity, the frequency of the 2nd harmonic of the C4 will usually be more than twice frequency of the 1st harmonic. In musical terms it will be sharp compared to what it should be in a perfect harmonic series. This means that the C5 that is being tuned must also be sharp, or it will cause beating. If there is too much beating in the tuning of a piano it will sound muddy and inarticulate. Furthermore, that means that the C5 on a piano will most likely be tuned sharper than the C5 on a guitar, because that will help the piano sound more in tune with itself.

So, all things considered, a guitar tuner is a poor substitute for the tuning you would get from an experienced technician. A well-crafted piano tuning app will give you the measurements for a good tuning, which is a good start, but tuning a piano well also requires a certain skill set that can take years to cultivate.

Absolutely! Roadie is compatible with ukuleles, banjos, mandolins and any instrument with guitar machine heads fitted with strings of gauge up to 75. Other instruments that can be tuned with Roadie 3 include lap steel guitars, pedal steel guitars, dobro square neck, and dobro round neck. However, please note that Roadie 3 does not work on Bass Guitars  or instruments with a string gauge above 75 as it requires more torque (bigger motor) to rotate their machine heads. Check Roadie Bass for tuning bass guitars or other instruments with a string gauge up to 140. In addition, Roadie 3 is unable to tune any instruments equipped with wooden friction pegs (such as the violin and viola). If you install planetary pegs on those instruments, Roadie will work normally.

The freemium model seems odd at first in a (fairly) serious application, but it works well - casual guitarists can tune for free, more serious players spend a little and the pro instrumentalist gets to spend the price of a couple of cups of coffee, etc.

Welcome to use our tuner for free online. The app is fully chromatic and therefore the guitar tuner online does also support a variaty of stringed musical instruments. Click on any of the links below to read more about how to use the app for each specific instument. Also, it does work both for electric guitar and acoustic guitar.

If you are using a smartphone or tablet the guitar tuner app is best to use because the online tuner does not have smartphone support. If you are using a smartphone, download the our app Pro Guitar Tuner.

If you are using an acoustic guitar or any acoustic instrument the tuner will by default use the built-in microphone. However, if you want to tune an electric guitar or any plugged in instrument you have to adjust the input source.

The online version of the ProGuitar Tuner includes a massive library of different guitar types and alternative tunings. Note that the tuner works for both electric and acoustic guitar. Read the last section of this page to see all tuning options available. The list of alternate tunings for guitar would be too long if we list all here. Therefore, the available guitar types only are listed below. Follow the link to see the tunings available for the specific guitar.

At any time you can click the strings on the fretboard to listen to a reference tone. One common way of is to tune the guitar to itself. If you are a beginner it can be a good practise to use a combination of a reference tone and a guitar tuner. One thing to notice is that the online guitar tuner does not show the actual octave. For that you need to download the smartphone app, which at the moment is of much higher quality than the online app.

The tuner is fully chromatic but if you need a reference of a specific tuning when tuning by ear or if you want to tune any other instrument follow the steps in how to setup the guitar tuner for other instruments

LINGOT is a musical instrument tuner. It's accurate, easy-to-use, and highly configurable. Originally designed as a guitar and bass tuner, its configurability gives it a more general character. It looks like an analog tuner, with a gauge indicating the relative shift to a certain note. The program automatically guesses the note to tune.

Related to this toppic, Rakarrack is the best Guitar Effects software out there. Before using it, you'll need to configure JACK (qjackctl) to connect the guitar audio input to the speakers output (at this link you'll find more info about how to use Rakarrack).

GuiTuner tries to detect the pitch of the sound recorded in real time from the audio device using some methods ( by now only based on FFT ) that you can configure at runtime. It is self-explanatory, you just have to connect your guitar or your microphone to the sound card, configure the input device using a mixer and see what the program tells you: it displays the note nearest to the picked sound and the interval between it and the note produced by the instrument. If the sound produced is lower than the right one the left arrow becomes green, if is higher becomes green the right arrow.

I'm no expert and haven't used it, but Rakarrack sounds like it will fit the bill. It's primarily an effects pedal, but also features a tuner. Combined with Ardour or Audacity, it should let you plug your guitar straight into your Ubuntu PC and start recording.

It probably depends on the tuner. The guitar tuners I've had could never reliably indicate vibrato. They are designed for a straight tone note, and even that can take awhile to register and stabilize.

I know about tuned xd and would really love to use it, but I can't because I don't have an iPhone or iPad.... Do you know of any apps like it in the windows store? The guitar tuner I have been using is called modtuner. Do you know anything about it and is it any good for singing? Tuned xd or an app like it is what I need right now so if you know of any please let me know

I suppose you could but you shouldn't. Guitar pedals and systems are designed for the circuitry of guitars, not microphones and the voice. That being said, using a tuner app. is VERY helpful and I have actually been using one more frequently in my studio with students that have pitch issues and recommending them. But, just go to any app. store and purchase a simple $2-$5 tuner app. that you can sing into. I use an app. in the Mac app. store called "pro tuner" on my phone and iPad in the studio. Its ok, but there must be 20 of these things... 2351a5e196
