I just got my galaxy watch 5 last week and I still haven't figured out how to fix my notification issue. I receive notifications on my watch but after some time it will not receive any and I just turn off notification access and restart my phone then turn notif access back on to get it back.

Whats the latest update on the compatibility with Xiaomi phones? I bought a fitbit today, the first few hours it worked perfect, all notifications came up and I was really happy. However... then the notifications stopped coming through and the message "Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to en-able notifications on your tracker." Obviously, I restarted and tried all the other tips I could find on here. Do I just have to face the fact that they are not compatible?

I recommend and you go and check the battery settings of the Fitbit app. Open your settings, go to apps and then go to Fitbit. There you tap on Battery and you can edit the battery optimization settings. I also suggest checking out this article: Why are notifications delayed or missing?.

Hey @Sorin. We do have a list of apps that conflict with the Ring app, as well as a troubleshooting guide when the notifications do not come through on Android. Please check these out and let me know what you were able to do to reach a resolution, or if it still fails, let me know what you did in addition!

It's very annoying to make this operation every morning, but ehi, like in The Mandalorian...this is the way...do you have any solution for this case? I'm pretty sure that it's related to an update of the garmin connect app, not the last...2 updates ago. From that update the notifications stopped working correctly and the phone has not been updated.

I have already red a lot of these methods and found the solution to toggle off and on the smart notification, as I said. The problem is that I have to repeat the procedure at every reboot! And with the same Android version and MIUI version before the upgrade of Garmin connect everything worked fine! Something broked with the last update!

Again, I read the forums did everything on the device : notification off/on - reboot - app not in sleep mode to save the battery ... and no way it doesn't work even by trying in the menu the option "Send a Test Call Notification". I believe it is because the bluetooth connection is not correctly installed on the device.

Notifications not working on FR945 from Xiaomi Mi 9. Incoming call alert works, but I don't get any smart notifications. I've tried pretty much everything to do with permissions and can't get anything. I recently changed from an LG G6 which worked fine. Anyone else have this issue?

On phone goto [settings > additional settings > privacy > special app access > notification access] and toggle the switch for Garmin Connect (Smart Notifications) off and on again (or move to on, if in the off position). I had previously checked this a number of times, but because it was already in the ON position, I simply left it and moved on. The solution was to toggle the switch OFF and ON again - such a simple thing that solved a thing that had been doing my nut for ages!

I am working on an application where I am using Google Push Notification. The application receives a notification when it is running in Xiaomi phone. Otherwise, when it's killed, it does not receive a notification.

If we want to receive a notification if the application is killed then we need to allow auto restart app manually from the security app of Xiaomi. I want any trick to do this programmatically without asking the user. Is there a way to do this?

There are five settings that needs to be done manually in case ofxiaomi to properly run any application. I have done a lot of researchon this and there's no way to fix these settings programmatically. These are the settings:

In the eight days since I published my review of Xiaomi's pioneering Mi Mix -- which mentioned MIUI's aggressive battery optimization set-up killing push notifications -- I've received half a dozen emails and tweets asking how I managed to fix the problem. I responded to each query one by one at first, before I realized I should just write a quick guide on here instead.

Push notifications not coming through is not an uncommon problem on Xiaomi phones (and Huawei phones, too). Do a Google search of the problem and dozens and dozens of results pop up: so much that I wonder if this is even an oversight/bug at all (maybe Chinese phonemakers just don't believe in push notifications, period). I, too, did my fair of Googling to try to fix the problem, but I found that most solutions available on the web have been inadequate. They usually suggest going into app notifications within settings and giving the app top priority, and to make sure the app is excluded from the phone's battery optimization features. Well, those two steps alone weren't enough to fix the broken notification problem on my Huawei P9 Plus or Xiaomi Mi Note 2/Mi Mix. Instead, it took me an hour or two of trial and error, going into every setting and turning this on and that off, before I found a solution.

So here goes the five steps that fixed broken notifications for my Xiaomi Mi Mix and the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, which run Xiaomi's latest software, MIUI 8. Please note that I'm not 100% sure all five steps are required -- all I know is I tried steps 1, 2, 3 first, and my notifications didn't work. I tried 2, 3, 4, and it didn't work. It wasn't until I added step 5 did push notifications began coming through on time. There is a chance that step 5 is all you need. Since battery life on both my Xiaomi phones remain excellent after all five steps, I just left it. I suggest you try step 5 first to see if that alone fixes the problem. If not, then just do all five steps. I assure you the battery life on Xiaomi's new phones will remain strong.

4: Lock the app in the "recent apps"/ "app overview" plane. Do so by first opening the apps, then press the "recent apps/overview button" (that's the square button on stock Android, or the button with three horizontal lines on the Mi Mix). From there, find the app you want to receive notifications, pull down on it to "lock it", so it never gets cleared.

I want to reiterate that the MIUI is a great Android skin, and one of my favorites (along with Meizu's Flyme and LG's UI). The broken notification thing is frustrating at first, but once you fix it, then the phone is (to quote my man Flossy Carter), a major go.

Microsoft Teams integrates with Mi push directly to optimize the push notification experience in Xiaomi devices, but it needs some specific configuration setup in Xiaomi phone to turn on the Mi push. Use this article to learn how to set up the configuration in Xiaomi phones and about the known limitation you may experience.

I did not know that by disabling notifications, I won't be able to receive calls since notifications for the calls also did not appear, only the ringtone played, and upon unlocking the phone there was no display of who was calling.

If an app like Threema creates a notification channel in MIUI 10,only vibration can be enabled as notification signal, all other signals (heads-up, sound, notification light, etc.) are disabled by default and must be enabled manually.

Due to restrictions by Xiaomi, there is no way for Threema to automatically adjust the notification-channelsettings for you. For some selected apps, Xiaomi has enabled all notification signals by default. Please get intouch with Xiaomi to learn more.

This notification is shown if you're using the Android version of Threema and have set a passphraseon your master key. In order to prevent the operating system from terminating the Threema process(which would cause the unlocked master key to be lost as it is only held in RAM, necessitating manual re-entry ofthe passphrase), the app needs to show a notification. This notification has no other purpose and is only required because of the aforementioned limitation of Android.

Please note: in times of extreme memory shortage, Android will even terminate processes that show apersistent notification. In that case, it is possible that you are prompted for the master key passphrase again. This is caused by Android; Threema has no influence on this process termination.

If you never bought this application and notifications (e.g. vibrations) are not working, the reason is pretty obvious. Mi Band Tools contains an antipiracy mechanism that automatically and silently turns vibrations off when it detects that your version of Mi Band Tools is not genuine. Please do not support piracy and buy legitimate copy of Mi Band Tools to support the developer. Please note that we only provide support for legitimately bought versions of the Mi Band Tools application. If you require any form of support, you need to tell us your Google Play order number. If you won't provide one, we won't process your email request.

Before you configure the key information to enable Xiaomi push notifications, you must apply for the Mi Push channel. For more information, see Apply for Mi Push in Chinese. Log in to the Tuya IoT Development Platform, click the app that you want to manage on the SDK Development page, and then go to the Push Certificates tab of the app. Enter the key information for Mi Push in the Xiaomi Channel section. e24fc04721
