I have what I think comes out to 233 notifications that my phone has an available update. This is my work computer and has hijacked all of my other notifications. I already checked the Notifications tab on system preferences and there's no way to bundle all of them into one where I can just click one "X" to remove them. To clarify further, is it possible to test to see if you're still getting notifications from the Phone app and that either the full screen or banner appears when receiving a call? We want to see if everything else besides the sound of an incoming call is working.

Exactly. The worst change in all iOS 17. They also changed the vibration so all apps have the same vibration. I used to recognize apps via the vibration and I knew what is important and what is not only by the vibration. So now I am looking for a way to downgrade because notifications are the BASICS of the phone and they changed it without a chance to customise it back yourself. No thanks.

Hi, I have read through the docs on creating actionable notifications here and have done all steps. In spite of this I am not able to see the button on my notification. It simply continues to show the notification as a basic one. Can somebody point out what am I missing here?

Hi @jmackinnell. I understand you haven't manually made any changes, but it is still best to double check that your settings are set up correctly as a first step. You will also want to make sure that both your device and app are up to date as well. If all of that has been done and your phone volume is turned up, this sound should start to work again. You can also use the other notification methods I mentioned to make sure you're being notified when new orders come in.

Since ios17 was introduced the notifications of the arlo app are hardly audible because apple has changed the default sound of notifications to one with a much lower volume. This makes it impossible to hear notifications while sleeping when people trespass our property. Arlo : when will you build in a custom sound possibility for notifications.

I have searched the community on this website and have found NOTHING that works in terms of changing the Arlo motion notification sound on my iPhone. The option is simply not there. I have a 6-month old iPhone 14Pro and iOS is up to date. My dogs go nuts every time they hear this noise as the associate it with motion caused by: the mailman, UPS, neighbors, and even the neighbor's cat at 2am.

@Brendafromsp I do not use a verisure alarm system, but I own an echo show and an echo studio. Together with alexa app and the Arlo skill, you can configure which camera will send notification to which echo. The only thing is, every movement will send a notification. The Arlo skill is ignoring my sensitivity settings of the cameras. As a workaround and to get noticed at night it helps

When I spoke to Apple support they said that iOS 17 update did eliminate some of the sounds that were previously used when apps send notifications. When I spoke to the ARLO support team they said they were unaware of any issues. So clearly ARLO support in uninformed and behind in training their team as to this problem. As a resolution ARLO is requesting that I obtain and e-mail from Apple Support which says to the effect that there are no issues on Apples iOS17 and it is running as it should. This gamesmanship leaves the customer in a terrible position. I find it unusually odd that ARLO does not want to be proactive. They need to update their App to allow sound notification adjustments.

Exactly so the issue is with the Arlo App as they were informed from the customers well over a month ago yet Arlo are too lazy and completely useless to do anything about fixing their app notification sound major issues.

I've seen some games do this. Some of them are pretty darn sneaky. Even though the phone is set to not notify me of anything, it still finds a way to make a sound here and there. My girlfriend has this ridiculous Simpson's game and every once in a while, you hear Homer say something. It's not a notification of any kind. In fact, they're all off. No crops(or whatever she does on it) are ready. It just makes the sound.

Both mine and my husband's iPhone 7's have started to make a sound like a sonar binging/echoing. It's one long, six short, "Booong, bip bip bip bip bip bip". It absolutely freaks me out. Or the best case scenario, Will has leapt out of Netflix and is trying hard to contact us. Who's paranoid now?!!! If someone could tell me what it is and how to stop it, it would probably keep me from tossing my phone over a bridge one of these days, not to mention save my husband's sanity as he is getting pretty tired of hearing about how much I don't like it.

Help! What was the solution here? I'm checking forums, I've done a number of suggestions and my husband is about to lose his mind. I finally heard the sound today, its totally like a gong and I have turned off notifications, the payment settings etc; unsure what else to do.

My watch does not receive text message notifications all of the sudden. It receives all other notifications, but not texts. I do not think I changed any settings on my watch or my phone to cause this change. Could it be related to the recent iPhone update? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks.

You can set notification preferences in the Canvas Student app to receive updates about your Canvas courses.
