Apple Music is a streaming service that allows you to listen to over 100 million songs. Its features include the ability to download your favorite tracks and play them offline, lyrics in real time, listening across all your favorite devices, new music personalized just for you, curated playlists from our editors, and much more. All this in addition to exclusive and original content.

Classical music has a fundamentally different metadata structure from that of genres like pop, hip-hop, and country. As a result, it requires a unique approach to search, browse, library, and recommendations features. In addition, presenting the data about each album requires completely different formats. Classical listeners also have specific interests, such as composer bios and descriptions of works.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! It looks like you're having an issue with unknown music playing, and are unable to determine why this is happening. I can understand how this would be a concern, and want to help with some things for you to check for a possible answer.

Scroll through the Settings screen for any apps, other than the Music app, which play music that you aren't familiar with having installed. Look through the Music app Library tab for any of the songs you've found playing. If you use other music apps, check those music apps also.

After checking these settings, if you are not able to either find the music that is playing, or able to determine why, I'd suggest contacting Apple Support. They'll be able to work with you to determine what's happening. You can also give them a call at the number for your location from this list.

I'm seeing the same problem, as well as an issue where the phone orientation will occasionally cause only part of the widgit to be visible. Killing the app that was playing music (or video) has no impact on this.

Hard reset seems to be the only thing that works, but then it comes back. I am to the fu**ing boiling point now with this effing bug. Please Apple, fix it. I don't want to have to restart my GD phone 5 times a day because the music widget is on the lock screen.

Update: I reset my phone and went to a meeting. When I came out, the music player was on my lock screen. No bluetooth, no media was played. It just appeared. My next step is to delete the music app and reinstall it. But I think I'll lose all my playlists. ?

Thanks all for your comments so far. I'll take a closer read through them after work today (in 10 or so hours). To address the elephant in the room, my reasons as to why I'm not too fond of music are a very high level are:

Some of the organisation methods are just off.... I sorted out my ID3 tags that work well in 3 of the music apps I used on my android phone, but for my iPhone, half of them are coming up with the album sorting .... ? (once again, may not be fixed with a new app, but the fact I never had this issue prior, makes me question what's going on here).

I just bought an Iphone SE, my first iphone and i discovered it is not as friendly as an android device, no offense.I really hate to listen music from online sources. On android device i upload a folder with mp3 songs on my phone and play them like i do with winamp on my PC.I tried to find an app for iOS that do exactly the same but i had no luck.Could someone recommend me an mp3 player for iphone that work exactly like winamp? I dont want to generate a playlist everytime i delete or upload new songs on my phone. It is much simpler to just upload a folder on my phone then just open the app, locate the folder and press play.

There isn't a way to upload a folder of music on the iPhone and be able to play them through that folder. Through iTunes you can upload any music that you have to the music app and you don't have to use any online sources. You can have all the music on your device, you can create playlists, play by artist, by album, by genre, you can shuffle, and repeat. Using Siri to say "Hey Siri! Shuffle all my music" is much easier than uploading a folder, opening the app, locating the folder, and pressing play.

Yeah- I honestly think it's a bug in the operating system and my not affect every user - The controls are good to have on the lock screen if you are actively using a music app but they are there even when I'm not- everything is closed. I do use the Music App a ton- have lots of music downloaded and connect to many devices and not once have I had this issue before the update. Chat support tried lots of different tactics - It's their recommendation that I bring it into the store. It's on my lock screen right now...all apps are closed. I have the iPhone X Version 11.1

In the Music app , the library includes music you added or downloaded from Apple Music, music and videos you synced to iPhone, TV shows and movies you added from Apple Music, and your iTunes Store purchases.
