This is a fun dramedy series about an office intern thrown into the maze of a corporate puzzle. The 2014 series that is streaming on Netflix is based on webtoon series of a similar title. It is an entertaining office drama for those missing office in COVID-19 times.

Apparently there was quite some drama between the cast after the variety show ended, but i cant find anything online presumably because most of it is in korean. If anyone is up to date with the drama, please share it :)

Yes, I love that opening credits, both the music and the graphics. I wonder if this is a male lead centric drama ala Memories of Alhambra or a more ensemble cast one like My Mister. LSK seems to have a very big role here, but I hope other characters also have their own arcs.

Very surprised there was no press conference yesterday. When My Mister decided to delay holding a press conference before the premiere of that drama, they at least announced it. Now I am thinking they will have it today just ahead of the chat session.

While I loved the footage of the Mongolian steppes, I perceived the first episode as really slow and had to resort to using the FF button in the end. Also, why were there hardly any scenes of Moon Chae Won? She's like a supporting character, which is really not fair - especially since this is only a 12 ep drama.

Okay I need help, so the uncle drives sports car to chinggis international airport, so wikipedia says it's the biggest airport in country and this guy is driving his personal car inside thre airport and casually leaving it on runway next to airplane? I am sure that airport must have a proper security checks system or is it possible for vvips? Why korean dramas always show other counties specially non-western ones as poor, under developed and in bad need for korean businessmen's help who are generous enough to travel to those countries and shower wealth and attention on those inhabitants. I remember how much korean netizens were raging when lee jung jae was asked by an american reporter how he feels now that he is famous, she assumed he got successful after squid games, and that drove knetz crazy. The other day I was watching work later s2 and one character mocks china in 2 episodes for selling fake products..., like sorry but I am not tuning into shows to watch racisty depictions.

As for stock market speculation, it does happened. When you state the "entire stock market" that is an exaggeration as that was not what was in the drama. Corruption is real and prevalent everywhere, 1st and 3rd world countries have them.

I have often read that Writer Kim Eun Sok (The Glory, Mister Sunshine) frequently works with other writers in her dramas, but they aren't always listed. However, Asianwiki specifically lists Kim Won-seuk as a co-writer for Descendants of the Sun. The setting in a foreign country definitely feels similar although I hope it serves a bigger narrative purpose than what we see in the first episode. I agree with the posts critisizing the portrayal of Mongolia, but for now I will just roll my eyes and chalk it up to the writer's penchant to go "excessive" like LSK said.

I'm glad the first episode is out of the way and all main characters are introduced. The nephew character got such a huge chunk of episode 1 that I started to itch to see more of Moon Chae Won's character. I feel her introduction is a bit lacking. A viewer who comes to this drama cold, without knowing anything about the characters, would have no idea who she is at the end of the episode.

I just think it's unfair that k-netz are always up in arms when another country portrays South Korea in a certain way, but they have no problem doing that in their own dramas about other countries - especially if they aren't developed Western countries. And no, I am not from Mongolia.

I would prefer original currency. If they talk about won then in subs should be also won. Or at least it should be consistent during a drama. Sometimes subs write about e.g. 10 million won and later about $10 000. Or we can see in a movie that a calculation of something is done in won and subs write it in dollars. It is confusing.

As you can see from the title, I was planning on checking out this drama but when I visited MDL, the ratings were pretty Underwhelming and the comments under the drama were not so encouraging I know it's MDl and I shouldn't take it seriously. It's a drama starring Lee Sun Kyun and Moon Chae Won so it's pretty hard for me to ignore such a casting . I'm much into Non-romance dramas, so I don't mind any romance at all if the story is compelling. So the people who have finished this drama, can you give me some objective critical reviews like is it even worth a casual watch? I also don't mind if it's slow burn either. Just wanna know if it's worth checking out

The story became even more muddled as Park Shin Young competed with Shin Dong Wook over the purchase of a company by the name of "Blue Angel". The last five or so episodes focused on the posturing between Park Shin Yang And Shin Dong Wook. Frankly, the scriptwriters overenthusiasm in fleshing out this part of the story was in my opinion a mistake. The airtime could have been put to good use in developing the characters of the two leads, as well as their budding romance.

Now comes the spoiler of spoilers. Read on at your own risk...

Sad endings are not uncommon in today's dramas or movies. Flowers for My Life and Alone in Love fared really well in putting across the poignant message that life does not end happily everafter for everyone. Doubts and sadness are issues which everyone deal with some point in our lives. Kudos for the manner in which these two dramas handled the rather sad ending to the story.

War of Money had one more inexplicable twist to the story at the very end. Well, we have already come to accept the 'inexplicability' of almost every development in the War of Money, but nothing really prepared us for what was to come in the last episode.

We all know that last episodes are usually the reserve for tying up loose ends and giving closure to any subplots which could have been forgotten when stories developed. The scriptwriters did well to show that Park Shin Young defeated Shin Dong Wook in wresting over the control of Blue Angel. Yay! The two Parks finally decided to go all the way with a beautiful wedding. Yay! Yay! Friends and enemies of Park Shin Young made peace with him at his wedding. Yay! Yay! Yay!

You'd have thought, "Ah, what a beautiful ending!" That's precisely my thought till the Park's mean ex-loanshark boss turns up at the wedding. Everything seems ok as he handed Park a gift. But in a spilt second, the guy uses his walking stick to bash the brains out of Park. The drama ends with the scene of blood gushing out of Park's head wounds as he lay dying on the lawn of the church where he's getting married.

Yup, that's it.

This is definitely one of the worst ever endings for a Korean drama. While Park Shin Yang had it coming, us audience deserve a better ending. Guess that's the difference between great scriptwriters (Flowers for My Life & Alone in Love) and mediocre ones who penned War of Money. It left a bitter taste in my mouth to see the potential of a great drama to only have it end such a undignified manner.

Hey there teddy & yupgi! Happened to surf on in while looking for stuff on kdramas and I'm loving your site. Hope u guys don't mind if I comment every now and then since I'm a new-ish kdrama fan and a bit obsessed :)

I saw War of Money a few weeks ago and I actually really liked it until the final scene. I felt so cheated! They went through hell and back together only for "that" to happen. Blech... I also felt that the kiss was a bit awkward and they got back together way too easily after their breakup. Still, it was one of the better series for the year I suppose and you gotta love park shin-yang!

Part 2 of the latest Netflix K-drama sees an action-packed, emotional tale of explosive shootouts, intense suspicion and undying loyalty unfold in a series of unexpected plot twists, as the heist gang and police go head-to-head in a final showdown.

Mayhem ensues as swarms of people make a dash for the bills raining down over the square. The resulting chaos buys time for the heist team to make a getaway and "vanish into thin air" with the money they printed at the mint.
