Hello,

I apologize for this misunderstanding. You are right, eM Client cannot import whole accounts from Outlook express. I am sorry but we do not plan to implement this feature - you will have to migrate your data manually using export -> import.

Cheers,

Jim

Jim's Modems: RE: Printing Draft messages from Outlook Express disconockerated (TechnicalUser)8 Jan 01 15:58On the outlook express tool bar click> view> layout, check preview pane box. Next save the email in the drafts folder, highlight said folder, click on the email you wish to print, click> print.

This should solve your problem.

Some more info from microsoft.

RE: Printing Draft messages from Outlook Express disconockerated (TechnicalUser)8 Jan 01 16:00re click> print....should read click> file > print. (or ctrl+p) RE: Printing Draft messages from Outlook Express Sensibilium (Programmer)(OP)9 Jan 01 06:22Won't work...

If I want to print a New Message that hasn't been sent (even with the Preview Pane open), the Print... option in the File menu of the message is still ghosted... However, when the preview pane is displayed, and the message is saved in the Drafts folder, as long as the message is selected the File > Print option in the Outlook Menu IS available, but not when the message is opened and the Messages menu is used... Ridiculous state of affairs...

I refuse to keep the preview pane working as it allows script worms/viruses to run - not acceptable...

Copy & Paste to Notepad? No good if you want the e-mail addresses listed and the subject header. Plus it's a bit of a long winded process (without mentioning the formatting issues involved with Notepad!).

According to the Microsoft KnowledgeBase Article this problem was fixed in Outlook 5.5 - 'Wrong again Microsoft', I have the very latest release of 5.5 and it don't work in mine...

On my machine, if I left click the message to highlight it,

then right click the hightlighted line, the system offers the choice to print it.

Hope this helps. RE: Printing Draft messages from Outlook Express Sensibilium (Programmer)(OP)9 Jan 01 08:29Nope. That don't work either...

Jim's Modems: RE: Printing Draft messages from Outlook Express disconockerated (TechnicalUser)9 Jan 01 17:07Agree with your comments on keeping info pane open, however as far as I can see this is the only fix. Best advice is to follow comtechs' advice an change to another program.....

RE: Printing Draft messages from Outlook Express Sensibilium (Programmer)(OP)12 Jan 01 05:59I have tried Pegasus mail and it's just awful...

As for Eudora, does it support multiple POP3 accounts?

Problem is, is that I have 4 other users, and they all use Outlook Express (after about 6 months they still don't properly understand it), and the last thing they want to do is learn another new program.

Hell, it's hard enough teaching them how to use Windows Explorer, never mind anything else! My users are so useless that they will look for a file thru Word, not be able to find it, and not even realise the file they are looking for is an Excel file! They won't bother using Find Files or Folders, they just give up and ask me to find it for them!

Not what a systems administrator wants!

Note: They have been on training courses for Windows, Word, Excel, Sage Line 50, Outlook, etc., but they forget everything they learnt in the space of 1 day!

So changing software is not exactly the answer for me, sorry...

Are you migrating away from gmail? Typically, all you need to do is make sure all folders/labels are synced to outlook then export to a pst - and import into the new account. I recommend creating some folders in the account online and and manually moving mail into the folders and verifying itsynced to the server.

Sorry, I just found this. You can't export from OE to Outlook mac - you need to use a 3rd party convert utility. (and possibly a few other steps) or upload them to a imap server and open the imap account in outlook. (Gmail works great for this.)

Well I don't know but did you saved password in profile for connectivity? It should work if this is the case. Otherwise if you do not provide password and want your outlook to display messages in preview pan, it can not until it download the complete message instead of the headers. ff782bc1db
