OK, so I try to autofill on my android phone...1password asks for my master password well that's ok, but if I switch focus and come back to 1password It asks for my password AGAIN.....and AGAIN...and AGAIN... and AGAIN....
This is incredibly frustrating when I am going to several sites and have 1password ALREADY open on my phone. Other password apps let you set a pin and only ask for the master password after a set period of time. Is there anyway you could provide this option. My husband I are going crazy having to repeatedly enter our master password.

Steps:
1. Open 1password app
2. Type-in Master password
3. Switch to browser and go to new site
4. put cursor to login field
5. switch keyboard to 1password-keyboard
6. click on unlock button to get login-password suggetsion
7. entering master password (still 1password App was not closed, and it took only 1-2 minutes from step2 to step7)
8. select entry, fill in login
9. accidently click on page body, so keybord is closed
10. click on password field, 1password-keyboared appeared
11. I need to enter master password again
Looks like it too much to ask for password every time I open keyboard in a short period.
It also happens when I'm switching between 1password app and any other app. When I switch back to 1password I need to fill master password again.
After the lastest update 25th August 2023 version 2023.8.0) the mobile app on my android phone crashes / closes after having to re-enter Master Password. This is the most recent update in Play store.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, cleared the cache in the app.
I even tried login in via the web browser and no luck. On the web browser an error appears after entering my Master Password (user key not found). But in the mobile app it just closes the app after entering Master password.
Please help!
My friend has lost the master password to their Bitwarden account. He has a set of possible passwords that could work, but not certain of its ordering, casing, or spacing. Both of us have tried different combinations but there is a limit to it thanks to the captcha on the web interface.
A few days ago he had a scrape on his finger, and his fingerprint stopped working. It has healed and has returned to normal and other apps are now unlocking with fingerprint now. But by then he had exhausted his invalid attempts in BitWarden mobile app, and now it is asking for his master password.
My understanding was that his entire encrypted vault must be on his phone storage, and I can use this tool: GitHub - GurpreetKang/BitwardenDecrypt: Decrypts an encrypted Bitwarden data.json file. to try different master passwords. Once something matches, then he can use it on his phone to decrypt the vault.
For backing up the app data , i had an idea about the google one app which could possibly allow you backing up app data.
You can try backing up your device , and if bitwarden supports that google backup iy might copy the data.
Then you can actually try to restore this data on a separate device which you can root , maybe even on an emulator with root first to avoid wiping your existing data on your phone in order to root it.
Neverthless this is a reminder that you should never forget your master password and take unencrypted backups at a secure place on a regular basis
Same issue with a Pixel 4. Worked fine for weeks; suddenly master P/W is invalid. Tried using desktop and laptop; both worked fine. Switching back to phone did not clear up the problem. The RachelO suggestion didn't work either.

i enabled encryption following the manual on a linux-PC with 2.4.9 Joplin. It just worked fine. Joplin syncs via nextcloud. After that i synced an android mobile (Joplin 2.6.8). I was asked the password an entered it.
Now it says:
