So you previously had A000000003 000000 for Open Platform and earlier GP implementations and for later cards or Global Platform specifications you have A000000151 0000 to select the card manager. The handling of SELECT is not completely clear from ISO/IEC 7816-4. Generally though if you provide a smaller AID (of at least 5 bytes) within SELECT by NAME then a matching application will be selected.

Just a friendly reminder, that working with globalplatform/javacards "in the wild" can be a daunting task, getting things right depends on many factors. You might want to have a look at GlobalPlatformPro (formerly known as GPJ) for this.

The region shows the approximate area where the card can be used. Card Manager can typically map the transaction down to a ZIP code or city. If the city or ZIP code of the merchant overlaps with the selected region in the map, then the transaction can still go through. There are instances where a merchant location cannot be mapped down to a ZIP code or city, in which case Card Manager will default to a state-level match.

There are some merchant types where a merchant will pre-authorize the card for an amount that may be larger than the actual transaction amount. In this instance, the pre-authorization amount must meet the threshold spend limit.

Card Manager controls are only invoked during authorization of a transaction. In some cases, such as gas stations, a card may be tested for validity by doing a $1 pre-authorization, and the actual transaction amount is charged to the card after the transaction. Some gas stations will pre-authorize for a maximum amount, e.g. $126, and some gas stations will check validating, e.g. $1. In the latter case, the actual transaction amount may exceed the limit, while in the former case, an authorization may be denied.

I was trying to install JetPack 4.6.1 on a Jetson Nano dev kit using the SD card method and ran into some problems finalizing the setup (just like this one), so I thought I would try the SDK Manager method. That worked fine, and the Jetson was able to complete the setup and boot properly without much hassle.

You can divide the software into basically two parts: (A), The part which is used for boot, and (B), the part which is the root filesystem/rootfs and which Linux runs from. The boot part of an SD card model actually resides on the module itself in QSPI memory, and only the rootfs lives on the SD card (in older releases part of the boot software also lived in partitions of the SD card, but even then it was only part of this).

The software living in QSPI can only be updated with JetPack/SDKM. The release version of the QSPI does not change a lot, but it does need to match a certain range of releases the SD card is flashed with. You can choose to flash just the QSPI with a given release, and then your SD card will work with that unit.

If you use sdcard image that is after (including) jp4.6 version, and then if your device is able to boot into ubuntu, the sdcard image will upgrade the QSPI sw version in the background. This will make sure the QSPI version is 100% matched.

Also, we were able to glitch through a rock with a lean too, kill our selves and respawn on the other side of a rock and build over above it. The dang thing (the assistant managers body i guess?) is literally inside an impenetrable floating black ball... fun stuff! Lol ?

All units participating in the University of Illinois System card programs must have a Department Card Manager (DCM) assigned to manage the programs. DCM responsibilities are outlined in Business and Financial Policy and procedures (BFPP) Section 7.6, The University P-Card and Section 15, Travel. The DCM is responsible for managing the Purchasing Card (P-Card) and Travel Card (T-Card) programs for the assigned unit(s). In order to assign an employee as a DCM or for a DCM to assign a Delegate, the following must be completed:

I have strange issue in NCM, catalyst card reports never shows any data. All my 6500's are running in native mode, i thought may be its an issue in inventory report but when I checked the file all looks into it as far as MIB is concerned. But when I run the Cisco Cards report it brings everything but serial number are missing. Any one who encountered this as I need to run report for all the line cards in 6500's with serial number which doesnt seems to be working with NCM.

Hi all,

Personally I managed this by adding a custom hidden field in the card metadata through bitwarden app. Called it PIN.

This way, the original secured field is used to autofill forms in the websites, while the custom hidden field is used when I need to manually enter a pin somewhere (so I use the phone app to see the code when I forgot it)

Is it ok from a security point of view?

Regards,

Alexandre.
